Went today for the first time to meet up with friends. We were warmly greeted when we entered and were given an introduction and explanation of the business. There is a small retail section in front for those who wish to purchase games, but there is a massive selection of games to use while you're there, we were told over 950 games! There is an adequately sized menu to cover standard gaming fare, as well as beverage options to cover most tastes and ingredient intolerances Our group ordered a sugar free vanilla latte, unsweetened ice tea, bottled water, and a pizza. The pizza is made in-house and is pretty good. A soft hand-tossed crust topped with a tasty sauce, and we added slightly spicy sausage and pepperoni. I would definitely order it again! The service was excellent despite being a busy with one person handling the guest check-ins, order taking, order delivery, and checking guests out. There is currently a $7 cover charge, which I will assume covers the use of the 950+ games, and is a bargain. You are allowed to bring in your own games, but I assume you can't bring in your own food or drink, but I didn't ask because why would I? We want to support a small business, so buying drinks and food is the least I can do, since they let us have access to all of their games. Overall, we had a great experience, and we will be back! Fun stop in here. We have been meaning to come by sooner but happy we were finally able to try it out. Would've liked to know that you can get more bang for your buck with same priced all day playing on weekdays versus 3 hours on a weekend day. They also offer free play Wednesdays so you can meet others and play with new people if that's your thing. Pretty good sized menu with plenty of options. We both opted for sandwiches and they were very filling. Look forward to getting a pizza or more handheld snacks next time. Hard not to make a mess eating and playing. Their collection is great and they have many marked with a sticker showing that an employee can help guide you on the rules/game play. Very accessible for novice gamers. it was great to find a board game café right here in the neighborhood. Made for a great nightcap after an evening downtown. Light menu of the essential game night foods, except popcorn. A perfect Friday night for our family. We brought our 8-year-old son, and he was in his element picking out a giant stack of games to play. The selection is impressive, and the staff were genuinely helpful, offering game suggestions and even jumping in to explain rules when needed. The food surprised us. Simple menu, but everything delivered: two pizzas, cheese curds, tater tots, and drinks, all hot, well-seasoned, and worth ordering. No complaints. Great place to try all sorts of new board games without purchasing them. It's 7$ per person for 3 hours of game play which is cheap and they have all sorts of food options from large sandwiches for 10$ to coffe for 3$ to large pizzas for 13-16$. Met up with a few friends on Friday for open game night. First time here and I can't wait to go back! It's a simple but inviting place with lots of tables for groups to play games at. Awesome idea for a cafe, and well executed! The owner (I think) was super helpful with game recommendations and gave us simplified instructions that allowed us to just get right into playing! We actually weren't planning on eating there but ended up getting beer and pizza since we got so into the games! The food is decent enough; I did like having some different pizza options! Myself and a friend came here in the evening. We met the co-owner and he taught us as many games as we wanted to learn. He was really nice and patient with us since we were tired from the workday. We also ordered food, Italian sub and turkey and bacon sub. They were honestly better subs than I've had it any sub shop. And the fries were good too.
