First time at Cosmos, and let's just say--this place gyro'd straight into our hearts! We ordered the chicken and lamb plates separately (because why share when both are THAT good?). Each plate was loaded with tender, flavorful meat, warm pita, and all the fixings. You could tell it was made fresh--like the kitchen heard we were coming and rolled out the red carpet... in tzatziki. The Greek fries? Chef's kiss. Crispy, lemony, and buried under a glorious feta avalanche. We may or may not have fought over the last few. Washed it all down with the Greek lemonade--bright, tangy, and refreshing enough to make us forget we were still in Wisconsin. They've been in business 16 years, and it shows. Great service, super clean, and the kind of friendly that makes you want to come back next week just to say hi (and maybe try everything else on the menu). If you're craving Greek classics done right, Cosmos is where it's at. Opa

Date of visit: April 30, 2025 The latest in our monthly workday lunch outings, this time around it was Cosmos Cafe on North Ave in Tosa. Despite the many times I've driven down this street, I never noticed the cafe, set back from the street behind its parking lot, which sets it apart from the other buildings on this stretch. The cafe itself is very unassuming as well, and not very big, so don't bring a large group here unless it's nice out and you can dine al fresco. Menu here is a combination of old school chalkboard and a laminated (slightly out of date) card, but the server/cashier is super friendly and will offer up any suggestions you might want or need and he'll also bring the food over to you, which I appreciated (I really hate the places that do a cattle call when the food's up) as well. I went with the fish sandwich. For the size and that nothing comes with it (besides some random veggies I didn't ask for or want), the price it was a bit expensive though the sandwich was pretty good. Not quite Kopp's, but it was tasty and the tartar sauce that came with it was great for dipping. This seems like the kind of place that would do a really good gyro so I will definitely come back some day and give that a whirl as well.

My recent lunch visit here has definitely made me a fan. It's a small space with limited seating and appears to do a thriving carryout business. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I had the Jerk Chicken Gyro and my friend had the Gyro Platter. I must say the fries with his platter were the best I've had in awhile. Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and soft inside. My Jerk Chicken Gyro sealed the deal for me however. The chicken was grilled to perfection with just the right amount of spice. After I finished it I was tempted to lick the wrapper it came in. It was that good! Definitely looking forward to visiting again soon.

Was feeling basic so I got the cheeseburger, was a bit disappointed cause the meat itself was on the drier side, so unfortunate cause of how thick the patty was! What really pulled it together was the fries, sooo crispy each and every fry, sooo good!! The place itself is pretty small and packed when I went so I got to go. Food didnt take long at all either considering all the people! The cashier was a great guy, super nice and helpful. Seems like a family business cause he mentioned a brother in the kitchen so for that, I would give this place another try on a different night!

Old school Greek cafe Menu is on a chalk board On a Friday lunch hour rush is only one person running the counter taking orders and bringing out peoples meals Price wise it's comparable to other Greek restaurants Nothing really stood out to make it a 5 star review

We came here on a Tuesday night and there was a nice steady crowd of takeout orders and people coming in to eat. It's not super big inside but enough. Id actually never had true Greek food before I came here. We got the Greek sample platter and everything was amazing and super fresh. For the entree I got a fish pita and I am officially craving it all the time because of how good it was. This place is the perfect mom and pop Greek restaurant and would recommend to anyone trying to get Greek food.

From the moment I walked in, my thoughts went to " I feel like I'm vacation and I stumbled in to the best little local gem that a tourist would never hear of but has the best food in town". I've lived in Milwaukee for close to 10 years and i get sad thinking about all the year I've wasted not going into cosmos cafe. Let me just say, you need go order the jerk chicken gyro and French fries and you will be happy for years to come. Let me tell you about how the man taking our order seemed to care about the shop and he answered the phone in front of us and spoke Greek! So so impressed. Inside doesn't have a ton of space, and it's laid out in a diner layout. Many people ordered pickup, but I enjoyed eating in and seeing the regulars catch up with the staff. I'm going to be a new regular.

I'm surprised it took me this long to check out Cosmos Café, but I'm disappointed I haven't stopped there earlier! I wasn't sure what to expect, but walked in and everyone was having such an enjoyable time. It was a good busy and they received so many calls for pick-up orders. I ordered the chicken pits and my friend ordered the jerk chicken pita and both were fantastic! Highly recommend adding this to your list for either dine in or pick up. The cashier was very patient when we were ordering, offered suggestions, and cleared our plates when we were done. There is parking available in their lot, or their across the street from a Tosa lot, too.

Sampler appetizer plate was so good, we forgot to take a picture before we dug in.

Food was authentic and delicious. The pita bread, hummus, gyro meat, beet salad...all amazing. Tina was incredibly warm and friendly, great service and explained the food items in fun detail. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Greek Cafe located in Tosa. Ordered the pita and hummus as an appetizer and loved how fresh the hummus was. Will definitely be back to get some hummus to go to have at home. Their falafel pita was delicious, and the amount of meat that was on their Mediterranean salad was more than generous, enough for leftovers. The inside of the Cafe is pretty small with a few tables, and you order at the counter. There's also a few tables outside which is where we sat. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

This food is outstanding. I would take a picture of the Caribbean jerk chicken sandwich, but we ate it. I would make the drive from anywhere in Wisconsin or a neighboring state just to try this food because it is that good. The pictures are amazing, but not half as amazing as the food was. I will definitely be back. The restaurant owners were so incredibly friendly. She went out of her way to talk to me and to make an effort to get to know me in the short time that I was there. These are people who genuinely care about their customers.

I want to start off by saying the lady who runs this place is a gem. We have only been once and she really stood out to me. She def cares about her customers and food and people! We have been wanting to come here and we finally got the chance. It's small in the inside but homey! There's a family love energy and it's super inviting. Menu was hard to read so they have a paper one. A kids corner with stuff to entertain your kids (awesome) is tucked away in the small space. I got a plate and my husband got a jerk gyro I believe. His sauce was so good!! I loved my plate. Ate every bite. Fresh and delicious. If you talk to anyone who lives in Tosa this a favorite of theirs. Go check it out!

When I'm in the Brookfield area shopping I prefer to make a stop here. I love Mediterranean style food so it hits the spot! Details below are all positive. No complaints. 1. Food I ordered a falafel bowl with plenty of fresh toppings. Everything tasted very fresh. As always the vegetables were crisp. Please get the pickles they add a nice flavor. I ordered a pita on the side, instead of a sandwich because I feel you get more for leftovers! Lol! The pita was soft and so good! The falafel itself tasted freshly made and had a good texture. Not too crumbly or stiff. I did take off one star because they had some type of Moroccan red sauce and the staff members were unable to let me know if there was dairy in the sauce and there were no details of the sauce on their allergen card displayed near the food. 2. Service The service was fast and straightforward. The staff was kind and efficient. They didn't wow me or respond with "my pleasure" after every request/question but their kindness was exactly what you want in a build your own type of restaurant. 3. Price and Process The pricing is reasonable. I would compare it to a Qdoba or Chipotle. Anywhere from $10-15 depending on what you select and add. They're set up very similar as well. Tell them your entree, pick your base, veggies, and sauces. They have fries too but I don't go there for fries! 4. Cleanliness & Atmosphere Overall, the restaurant looked fine. Nothing stood out as overly impressive and I didn't have any concerns either. The trash was a little full, but they were busy when I visited. There was an entire basketball team dining inside with a coach bus parked out front. That's probably why the trash was full. Now, to answer your question. Yes! I would absolutely return! Next time I day shop in the area I will get another bowl! And yes you should visit as well. I'm mean if you're tired of fast food burgers and burrito bowls and want something quick and fresh! Go! It's probably the closest thing we have to CAVA here in Wisconsin. It's worth trying.

It is a small family owned business, and mother cooks all the food. It's only been a month since they moved here from Layton, so they don't have a sign yet, but just go in to the Rayan super market, and navigate yourself to the back of the building. They do have a table off to the side inside the market if you're in a pinch and need to eat there, but I'd recommend taking the food to go. The family is friendly, and if you aren't too familiar with Mediterranean food, they will help you navigate their menu items. They have 2 types of rice. One is a smoked rice (first time I tried it, and it was good!), and the other one is cinnamon. I didn't care for the latter, but the smoked rice was delicious. I was only going to try a bite or two, but I ended up kicking myself off of keto and ate a whole bowl. Chicken special - with rice and salad Salad was a small portion of very fresh lettuce, tomato and cucumber in light oil dressing. Chicken was a bit dry for my taste. They did have the chicken in a warmer plate (like the buffet style) and it must have been sitting there a while. The flavors were good, but the dryness was disappointing. The menu says "half chicken", but we got 2 pieces of thigh+drum. In a way that's good, cuz any breast meat would have been so much more dry. Lamb special - with rice and salad We ordered the cinnamon rice for this dish and the smoked one for the chicken dish. Like I said, the smoked rice was better for my palate. The lamb was delicious. It was falling off the bones, but it wasn't dry. We got 3 large chunks of lamb with bone and one little piece boneless. In both plates, our server piled the rice so high! I hope they don't go out of business giving so much rice! But I'm not complaining. Overall, the meal was delicious and I would definitely go again. I'd love to try some of their appetizers and other meat items.
