This place is absolutely fantastic at 2 AM, and surprisingly just as good at noon. The portions are really large, you can split it between two people. They would have gotten a five star however they are very overpriced. For one Gyro and fries it is almost $20. The service is really good and efficient. This is right across the adventure rock downtown. Got just the gyro sandwich and I kid you not. There were three portions of meat stuffed inside. Free taziki sauce as well. Came out hot and quick. It ranks in my top 10 for shish kabobs. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and very tender. I get it with the rice pilaf which can be a little overcooked because it is probably in a vat. My friend and I were trying to get late night drunchies food and were trying to walk into the establishment around 2:30am but there was a guard at the door only allowing customers in slowly at a time once other people left. Anyways - ordered with no problem and I asked if I could use their restroom which one of the employees had to come around the counter and unlock the door for me (maybe another late night protocol?). The bartender recommended this place as not much would be opened. It was a short walk there This place is connected to a gas station but in a separate building. It also has a drive thru window. A pretty good menu. But I went with a gyro platter. The gyro is huge. Hard to finish. Way too many onions for my taste but easily removed. The tazsiki sauce was good. Lots of fries that were nice and hot. The place was pretty clean as I ate there Pretty damn good meal. Great spot. Came here in search of a quick fix of Mediterranean food and it delivered. Went through the drive thru and ordered a gyro thinking $10 is a little expensive just for the sandwich, but when I got it back it was packed with meat so I wasn't mad about it. My oldest kid and I wanted to stop for lunch at the Zocolo food truck park nearby, but that didn't work out and we were left looking for a different option. I opened my list of Yelp bookmarks and looked for someplace quick nearby that wasn't too time consuming or expensive. Gyro Palace was a two minute drive and one of the few remaining gyro places I hadn't been to around Milwaukee, so that was an easy choice. My son had chicken tenders and fries and I had a plain gyro with fries. My son liked the chicken tenders, but that can be taken with a grain of salt since he's never had chicken tenders that he didn't like. He ended up eating most of the fries without complaining either. I thought the fries were incredibly bland. I'm not a ketchup person, but it was definitely needed. On the plus side, you get a very generous amount of fries for the price, so if you dress them up with enough salt, pepper, ketchup, etc., it could be worth your money. The amount of meat on the gyro was also pretty generous. Unfortunately, I thought the combination of the flavor, texture, and dryness was off-putting, causing it to rank near the bottom of the list compared to most of other gyro places I've tried. I don't even know where to begin. Gyro Palace is a god send. Me and my boyfriend both work third shift on the weekends. Gyro Palace is one of the few places in Milwaukee that is open for our "dinner time". Our typical experience with late night food is wrong orders and horrible staff. Definitely the one of best gyro palace in town. Most late night places the food is ok, but this spot has bomb food . They be hustlin in the kitchen, shout out to them ! Way past over due review was needed to be done for this location. Love this place as if it was new each time I go here. Since it's not in my regular rotation however it's worth a visit if you are in the area. I actually live closer to the location on the north side by Bayshore area. Especially if you need a late night lay over before hitting the road. I'm also a fan of Halal guys as they have similar food in a different way. This was a decent place for a quick bite before heading on the MKE brewing tour across the street. Clear menus behind the counter offer many different options. We decided to share a plate, which came with gyro meat, chicken and steak along with a side (we chose Greek salad). They offer beers, though we didn't order any. The dining room was a little sticky and overall the vibe of the place is outdated. Food came up quick. You grab it from the counter; there's no table service. I like that our plate came with its own bottle of tzatziki sauce. Plastic cutlery. No frills here, people. Our salad was served on the same plate as our hot meats. I have no idea why the restaurant does this, but it's gross. Also, the "Greek salad" was nothing more than iceberg lettuce and two cubes of feta, a tomato and two olives. An insult, really. Whatever. The meats on the plate were pretty good. The steak was chewy but I never had high hopes for it to begin with. The chicken and gyro meat were awesome. Tender and flavorful, and a huge portion to boot. With white sauce that doesn't really taste like anything, to boot. It wasn't my favorite but it also wasn't bad. If I was starving I would have enjoyed it more thoroughly. So especially considering the incredible price I'm happy to give it 4 stars. I love how cheap Gyros are in these parts. Long may it continue. And I love to dip the Greek Fries in tzatziki. Yumm. And their cheeseburger is one of my favorite in the city. It's got an old school quality with ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, raw onion and a sesame seeds bun. I also really love their hot dogs. You know those super delicious hot dogs on the little metal rolling thingies? These dogs are so good that they remind me of metal rollie dogs just like K-Mart back in the day. I also really appreciate the deep fried mushrooms here. And they have a drive thru. So you can go to get a rollie hot dog without having to put your bra on and your dog can ride shotgun. A guy at work has been on me for a while now to stop at gyros palace but I have a long list of places to try so when I found my self driving past one I did the U turn and stopped. I just came off lunch so I would grab one for dinner and OMG they have a drive through. The drive through was empty at about 1pm today and it was the fastest I ever got through one so I looked in the bag and it was all there, see the pictures. The gyro was big and I could feel it was hot and ready but would have to wait for dinner time. Let's take a look at this monster and go on a test drive, I placed a quarter next to it so as to get an idea of what it is. Since I stopped unexpectedly for it I had to take it with me on my travels until I got home, the car smelled amazing and drove me nuts for hours. It was big and had some weight to it so it is not going down in one sitting and it would take a second attempt to get it down. The pita in no way held this monster so you have to eat some meat to make it manageable. The cucumber sauce was tasty but too loose for my taste, I like the creme cheese texture. The gyro meat was thick and moist even after hours in the bag, not that thin shit some places give you. I did like the fact that it was not one of those desert dry gyro meat sandwiches. The texture and taste of the meat was good with the pita, tomatoes, onions and sauce. By the way the tomatoes and onions are on the bottom so they don't fall off and you get to taste them. Overall it was one of the better gyros in Milwaukee and would not disappoint a gyro lover and hit the spot, did it dethrone my favorite no but it was big, meaty and tasty. I will give it props because it was well done and I have had some bad gyros in Milwaukee. I think I can safely put it at the number two spot as of now but there are places I still want to get to. read more

Went to the walkers point location. They have a very good gyro. The pita was not greasy at all with an ample amount of meat that seemed fresh, hot and had great flavor. The meat juices flow and soak on top of the lettuce, and when mixed with some complimentary dressing makes for a sublime bite in between some warm pita bread. I finished a night of driving uber and was starving. I checked the hours on the Gyro Palace website. Great open until 2:30. I pull up at 2:12 see 3 cars in line 2 past the menu board and 1 at the menu board. The car ahead of me had already ordered. Finally at 2:23 the line moves I pull up to order 1 gyro combo and am told sorry they are now closed. I guess 2:30 doesn't mean 2:30. I got their at 2:12. I guess they saved me $15 but had to I eat a frozen microwave meal when I got home. I wont bother driving over their again, they lost my business forever. read more
