The gyro are the best in Milwaukee county. Alot of meat plus a full topping cucumber tomatoes feta cheese and onions. The curls fries and greek chicken are also very good. CHICAGO IS JUICY. This has been our go-to Gyro place for years. The restaurant is always clean, the service always very fast, and the gyros served HUGE and stuffed with fresh ingredients. I always get the Gyro Supreme Sandwich, which comes with feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and sliced peperoncino. The gyro meat is always well seasoned, sliced perfectly and extremely tender. The generous amount of vegetables are served underneath the meat instead of on top, which helps keep them from falling out while you're eating. However, because of the sheer size of the sandwich, you're likely to lose a few. The feta cheese is served in large cubes instead of crumbled, and the tzatziki sauce is thick and rich, coming in a nice sized container. Food is always great. They are extremely fast in making everything. Wish they didn't package everything as if you are not eating onsite. They used to put them on plates and provide ketchup and gyro sauce in containers, makes a big difference. Still enjoy it would just even be better. read more

Still liking this spot! We got some takeout the other night. It's been a while since we've come here, just because we aren't eating out/takeouts as much during this covid era... But it feels like their gyros grew in size. Huge amounts of meat. We had 2 gyro sandwiches and though hubby ate all of his, I split mine into 3 meals. Also ordered a side of rice pilaf, but wasn't wowed. I'll just stick with the gyros from here. Greek Fries, were also nothing to boast. Just their regular fries for me, please. And maybe the curlies. Amid the newer franchise food places nearby (Panera, McD's, Noodles, Kopps, BWW), it's easy to dismiss this place. But their food is solid and I've always enjoyed their gyros. We stopped here for lunch, car dining is the new thing now with take out only. This place is nice looking and relatively fresh looking with nice booths and tables. We had the gyro sandwich as it comes with onions and tomatoes. The gyro sandwich is piled with gyro meat. The meat was not too dry and not the greasy kind that was not cooked to a crisp and just right. The pita bread was the fresh thin kind so the meat shines. The sauce was good but it was so thin that it drips off the gyro :(. The gyro was generously topped with meat and you can't fold it over until you eat some of the meat first. Mediocre - I always, every time I get the ends of the tomatoes. Does anyone ever get center cut slices in a gyro? Are center slices saved for certain entrees? The yogurt sauce is watered down, would be better thicker. There are tons of ways to cut costs, quality & flavor of food is not what should be cut back on. Absolutely wonderful Gyro sandwich! The regular size gyro is HUGE, with an overflowing amount of meat. Fries were steaming hot and crispy, and the tzatziki was awesome! Pleasantly surprised!! I must've eaten here roughly 8 years ago, and I thought, "That was pretty darn good, I shall eat here again!" Well, eight years later, and here we go!! Since the long hiatus, I felt I should give a review. I had the simple gyro sandwich. I unwrapped that aluminum football and was like, "Oh my!!" Loaded to the gills with meat, but where's the onions and tomatoes?? They were where they should be, tucked under the meat and close to the pita. The tzatziki sauce was very vibrant and tangy. Complimented the sandwich perfectly. That gyro hit the spot!! My lunch compadres had O-rings and fries with their meals and they looked delicious. These gyros can compete with the best of them in the Milwaukee area. Sorry for the long break, Gyro Palace, but we shall definitely return again. A simple yet tasty Greek place. It's located close to Bayshore mall where a few other food joints are. I usually get the chicken shish kabob or the Athenian chicken or Lamb shank. All are great. I like their yoghurt sauce which comes with the meal. They do have falafel option for the vegetarian and I have heard good things about it, so looking forward to trying it next time I am here. The staff is very helpful and kind and alway attend to your needs. The best part about ordering food here is, if you call them 10 Mins ahead, it will be ready to go or dine in in exactly 10 Mins. Very very quick service which makes it an awesome place for a quick bite. They have a huge wall which is a painting of Santorini and it's beautiful. You would want to visit Greece if you are here. I ordered around 4:30. I have ordered before and I always had to wait a few minutes. I get my order right away and when I ride a minute or two home, when I take out my food it is barely warm! The mozzarella sticks were room temperature. I hope the food was safe to eat. I will never eat here again. There is no way they could have prepared a chicken shish kebab that fast. Extra Pitas are a must considering the vast amount of meat provided. The plate comes with 1 single Pita, I order 3 extra & find myself stuffing the four pitas to maximum capacity. The Gyro plate comes with a side, I stick with the French Fries or a Greek Salad. Tip: ask for the side to be packaged in a separate container. Or, they pile the stack of meat on top of your side order. Sunday evening at 5PM, I found 3 tables of patrons dining in & a couple other people waiting for to-go orders. I was in the area today and needed lunch and Yelp told me that Gyro Palace was nearby...let's be honest, who doesn't like a gyro? So I stopped in and was pretty happy with what GP is serving up. I'd say overall they're pretty comparable to Oakland Gyros in terms of price, portions and menu offerings. My gyro was VERY large and less greasy than OG, which made me happy. I always appreciate the squeeze bottle of tzatziki because I am a zealous tzatziki-er when given the opportunity. The place is clean, the service was really fast and the prices were reasonable. I've always dismissed this place due to its strip mall location and lackluster exterior. Don't be fooled by the unassuming outside - the food is excellent. Way more broad menu than just gyros; lamb shanks, Dolmas, chicken shish kabob, falafel, cheeseburgers, etc. Something for every size appetite, from platters to just a hot dog. The platter portion is massive- I think 3 people could share it. The only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 Star is because the inside is about inspiring as the outside.
