    Lemon potatoes

I had high hopes for this place, but it really fell short. When I got my order, I was shocked by how tiny the portions were for the price. Still, I stayed optimistic, hoping the food would at least be flavorful but unfortunately, it wasn't. Everything was very bland and definitely overpriced for what you get. The rice pudding was actually delicious, but it came in a tiny sauce sized cup. The lemon potatoes were also tasty, but we only got three small pieces, which felt more like a garnish than an actual side. Overall, it felt like we ordered sample sizes of two full dinners and two sides but paid around $55. If you come here with a big appetite, you'll likely leave disappointed.

This was our first visit to Kouzena 220. We will be back! Excellent food! Excellent service! Reasonable prices for food and beverages. Generous portions! Already started eating before I remembered to take a couple pictures. There were four delicious lamb chops and a delicious and large half chicken. Also enjoyed the roasted potatoes, green beans and Greek side salads!

We walked by on our way to another restaurant. Peeked inside. Layout and decor is super cute. The menu was all Greek. I'm not into Greek food, but the rest of the group were fans and curious--the charming atmosphere totally sold it. I'm so glad I followed the group--the food was A-MAZING! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Portions were surprisingly large. Can't wait to go again.

Nikkos offers a wide variety of food, not just Greek. Burgers, dogs, Italian beef, etc. I know from experience both Mediterranean and Middle Eastern places generally offer very good burgers, but I haven't personally tried Nikkos'. I must try them soon. What I *have* tried are Italian beef, gyro, and chicken, both in plate and sandwich forms. Gyro and chicken dishes did not disappoint. Their chicken kebab plate is my daughter's new go-to Greek dish, and I can personally attest to their gyro and tzatziki sauce. Super legit. Also, French fries are good. I've tried their Italian beef now twice, but both times I thought they didn't do a very good job getting rid of beef taint. Gravy was okay; nothing special. I'd personally put them right at the same level as Portillo's. It's got a very old-school diner feel to the place. Menus are displayed with pictures over the counter, making it super easy to read and order. As far as friendliness of the cashier goes, I'd rate them 3 of 5. I was greeted and tended by a very nice lady once, but it was two grumpy dudes the other time who were all business and no play. Nothing wrong with their work ethics or order accuracy or anything. They were just unpleasant. Just so I'm clear, these encounters don't usually deter my star ratings. More so an FYI. All in all, I'm happy with my Greek plates at Nikkos. I'll probably go back to try rest of the other menu items like shish kebab or even a burger.

A few "highlights" of our visit: Dishonesty: A server lied and said there was no kids' menu (which is clearly listed on their website) just to avoid a meal substitution. When I asked about ordering chicken tenders, the server told me they didn't have a kid's menu and were only making an "exception" for my daughter. I later found the full kids menu on their website. Instead of simply explaining an age policy, he chose to be dishonest and was visibly annoyed that I even asked. Being Ignored: It took 20 minutes and multiple people flagging down a server just to get one bottle of Coke. I asked the female waitress 3 times for the Coke and she repeatedly looked at me and ignored me. It took 20 minutes and 3 family members calling out to the server to get her attention. Disrespect: The hostess literally put her hand in my face when I politely asked for a to-go bag. I politely asked the hostess for a to-go bag, she actually put her hand in my face and told me to "hold on." When she finally returned, she mean mugs me and handed me the bag without a word even after I gave her an underserved thank you. If this were my party, I'd be demanding a refund. This place makes other local diners look like five-star establishments. Unbelievable and completely disappointing. Will never be returning.

The cold station had a great variety of hummus and dips served with pita bread--my son loved it so much he ate thirteen pieces of pita! They also had traditional Easter red eggs and egg salad, which was a nice touch. The hot food selection was very impressive as well, including freshly carved prime rib and ham, roasted lamb leg, and sausages. There were also breakfast favorites like French toast and scrambled eggs. Desserts were excellent too--cakes, fresh fruits, and yogurt rounded out the meal perfectly. The setting is just as lovely--the restaurant has an outdoor patio that would be especially enjoyable in the summer, with a great view of the city skyline. It's also a perfect spot for photos. Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. I loved the fact that they took the time to make sure my son with allergies was safe.
