Nice spot. Ordered our food and then had a seat. The wait time was rather minimal. Food was delicious. We ordered the gyro plate with fries and a drink and the Beef Shish Kabab Plate with rice. Food was ready just in time for us to eat and make it to our destination in the area. The young lady behind the counter was nice and very observant. The restaurant was clean and there are plenty of tables and chairs for dining in.

Staff was nice. Ordering process was fast. Food was fresh and took a liitle time to cook, but was absolutely worth the wait. The portion size is large with plenty to take some home. Wasn't busy, but steady. Restaurant is clean and tables are nicely spaced. Music was nice, but a little too loud.

The place was really nice and clean. The music was perfect. It's was not super busy in the restaurant but plenty of pick ups. The food was delicious and flavorful. The blakalwa super fresh, flaky, soft and the sherbet syrup on top was so good. The staff were really friendly and polite.

Driving back to Chicago from Wisconsin Dells, we got hungry and decided to stop for a quick bite--and wow, we're so glad we did! We ordered the mixed grill, chicken tawook, and a shawarma sandwich. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The garlic sauce on the side was chef's kiss--just the right touch. Both plates came with creamy hummus and fresh Jerusalem salad, which rounded everything out beautifully. Everything was super clean - you order at the counter and the food gets brought out to your table. This place is a total gem. Great food, generous portions, and a perfect stop if you're passing through. Highly recommend!

10/10 highly recommend. This place is so great, I hope they stay busy and in business for a long long time. Meat was seasoned so well and perfectly cooked. The baba ghanough was the literal best I've ever had. We will be back a lot.

Just got off a flight and found this place on google. The portions are HUGE and the taste was out of this world. The best halal plate I've ever had hands down, and I am a sucker for them. I got the Beef Shawarma and lentil soup. The shawarma plate was gigantic and definitely can be split. Filled up the pita bread with it, and it was pure heaven. The white and red sauce was perfect as well. 10/10

Oak Creek is on the far end from West Allis (20 minute drive) but I'd rather make that than go to Casablanca on Brady. SERVICE: Depending on the day, Kabab House can be packed. When that happens, the waitstaff is good about asking you what you ordered to make sure you get the right items. The food comes out within a solid time frame (waited no more than 10-15 minutes). FOOD: I ordered the lentil soup and beef kofta sandwich combo (includes fries+drink). The lentil soup was fresh out of the pot. It has HOT hot. I had to wait for it to cool down. Overall, it's a great portion and perfect on a gloomy day. The beef kofta sandwich was really good. The fries are seasoned and go well with the meat. The portion size is great. I was able to eat everything and not feel super stuffed. TLDR: Authentic flavors, great pricing and great portions! Worth the drive! 10/10 would come again!

Newer kabab house where the old Korean/Chinese place used to be. It is half self-serve - you order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. We tried to help by bringing the plates back to the counter when we were done, but I think we are allowed to leave it at the table. There is nothing awesome about the interior. They might want to put up some decoration at some point? But most importantly, they need to give their tables a really good scrubbing, or use tablecloths. It's sticky. Customer service was nothing to wow at, but efficient. Food was awesome. Beef kofta - if you get this per skewer, it's 4. My favorite. Very tasty. Chicken tawook - hubby's favorite. (it's like chicken shish kabob. I think kabob refers to beef, and tarok refers to chicken) On the two occasions he had it (part of the mix shawarma grill plate) it was moist and flavorful. Nothing worse than dry chicken, but this one was perfect. beef shish kabob - very good, but not as flavorful as the kofta (which should be more flavorful by default, lol. It's like comparing steak to sausage) arabi chicken - I never had this dish before, but it was quite yummy. They make good chicken!! baba ghanough - ok, but I've had better. I like to order this because I'm not a huge fan of hummus, but actually, their hummus is comparable, so I wouldn't pay extra to get this again (I mean the hummus that comes with the plates) Rice - meh. And not because I'm on keto. I LOVE mediterranean rice. Before going keto, I would get a plate to share with hubby, let him have all the meats, and I'll just eat the rice. When they're good. Here, nope. Overall, meats are good, but the sides lack a little something.

5****. Is it as great as a dining in Middle Eastern restaurant, likely no, but if you are looking for a great meal with something different then I would definitely go. I will be going here again. The service was very kind & nice. The speed was amazing & it wasn't dried up like it had been sitting out. Very tender & absolutely massive portion sizes. Only negative would be that I wish it had more Middle Eastern sit-down vive that I grew up with in SE Michigan. I don't think I would sit in & think it is authentic but it is a great meal. We got the Mixed Schwarma (Beef & Chicken) Plate & the Chicken Schwarma Plate. It has the flavor of authentic for a carry out. Will 100% be going back.

The Mexican butcher had an attitude from the moment I said hello -- short answers, no eye contact, just slapping meat on the scale like I was bothering him. When I got to the register, the total didn't match the prices on the tags. I politely pointed it out, thinking it was probably just a mistake. Instead of checking or apologizing, he got defensive immediately, insisting the price was correct even though the tag clearly said otherwise. When I pushed back and asked him to double check, he raised his voice, started talking over me, and acted like I was accusing him of something criminal instead of just asking a simple question. Other customers in line were visibly uncomfortable. I ended up paying just to get out of there, but I've lost this shop as a customer for good. I'd genuinely warn anyone nearby to be careful with this place -- between the attitude and the pricing discrepancy, it's not worth the hassle. No matter how good the meat is, that kind of treatment and lack of honesty isn't something I'm willing to put up with again.

4.5/5 stars Let me start by saying I have personal biases…read moreI'm battling here. I have newly moved to the Milwaukee area from Metro Detroit (home to the largest Arab population outside of the Middle East) and therefore not only did I grow up with great food our restaurant options have always been elite. If I seem nitpicky I'm sorry but let's get to it! I got the mixed grill plate, Turkish salad, and a lentil soup. Highlights: the shish tawook was perfect, juicy, not over cooked, the kafta loaded with flavors, the hummus was solid, I loved the bed of rice it was on, and the soup delicious... "so T, what happened to the half star?" This is where I might be overly critical... the chopped veggie salad was in dire need of salt, or consider dressing it with the jalapeño mix that was on the hummus. The Turkish salad put me in quite a conundrum... was it delicious? Oh hell ya, was it spicy? Yes (inject it my veins), so what's the issue? My issue here was just that it wasn't a salad. It was an excellent salsa, but I didn't have chips to eat it with and this isn't a "salad" you can eat by itself. If they had fried the Arabic bread and seasoned it like the fattoush chips and gave me a bag of it with the Turkish salad that might be the greatest combo known to Milwaukee. Finally, the only true criticism of this place, the beef kabobs... flavor was amazing, it was tender too but it was severely overcooked. I don't blame the restaurant because as an Lebanese person I grew up with way too many over cooked bbqs and aunts and uncles thinking red meat was blood despite eating kibbee nayee (beef tartar-Lebanese style) but if that had two minutes less on the grill it might have the holy grail of mixed grill plates. All of this to say I was very impressed, Milwaukee has some good spots and I wasn't sure what to expect when I moved here but this place does it for me, will probably make it a rotational spot

It is a small family owned business, and mother cooks all the food. It's only been a month since they moved here from Layton, so they don't have a sign yet, but just go in to the Rayan super market, and navigate yourself to the back of the building. They do have a table off to the side inside the market if you're in a pinch and need to eat there, but I'd recommend taking the food to go. The family is friendly, and if you aren't too familiar with Mediterranean food, they will help you navigate their menu items. They have 2 types of rice. One is a smoked rice (first time I tried it, and it was good!), and the other one is cinnamon. I didn't care for the latter, but the smoked rice was delicious. I was only going to try a bite or two, but I ended up kicking myself off of keto and ate a whole bowl. Chicken special - with rice and salad Salad was a small portion of very fresh lettuce, tomato and cucumber in light oil dressing. Chicken was a bit dry for my taste. They did have the chicken in a warmer plate (like the buffet style) and it must have been sitting there a while. The flavors were good, but the dryness was disappointing. The menu says "half chicken", but we got 2 pieces of thigh+drum. In a way that's good, cuz any breast meat would have been so much more dry. Lamb special - with rice and salad We ordered the cinnamon rice for this dish and the smoked one for the chicken dish. Like I said, the smoked rice was better for my palate. The lamb was delicious. It was falling off the bones, but it wasn't dry. We got 3 large chunks of lamb with bone and one little piece boneless. In both plates, our server piled the rice so high! I hope they don't go out of business giving so much rice! But I'm not complaining. Overall, the meal was delicious and I would definitely go again. I'd love to try some of their appetizers and other meat items.

This is a tiny little festival that is trying sooooo hard!…read more We finally went (first time, ever) on Friday and there were a total of 5 tents outside: one selling food tickets, one serving the food, one covering the DJ/ music man, one for dining in and one selling Egyptian coffee. There were also 2 inflatable kiddie castle type things. Upon entering the parking lot (free parking and admission), it looks like pretty much nothing worthwhile. We approached the ticket tent and were told a little bit about the festival: donkeys and camels were arriving on Saturday, there is a small booth in the church basement selling Egyptian iconography items along with religious items and nonrelated knickknacks, there are cooking demos and church tours. Being hot outside, we decided to head inside and check out the merchandise. I think the vendor was from the Sphinx shop at Southridge Mall, but I could be wrong. There were books, anhks, jewelry, scarfs and other merchandise laid out on tables and in what can best be described as hutches. The cooking demos were every other hour with the church tours being on the other hours. The church tour wasn't really a tour, but kind of a lecture on the history of the church and a description of the paintings and various items within. It was very interesting and we learned a lot of new information. We didn't stick around for the cooking demo, but headed outside to eat. Macaroni beschamel, gyros, kofta, chicken and dolemades (stuffed grape leaves) were a few of the menu items, along with baklava and other Egyptian desserts that I didn't recognize. Soda, water, and mango juice were available also. The worst part of this festival is that we had to hike across a driveway and then a rather large expanse of straw covered grass to get to the tent where we could sit and dine. They should perhaps plan to put the dining tent adjacent to the food tent in the future. The kiddie castle things were in the process of being inflated while we ate, but there were only maybe 4 kids there, and they appeared to be members of the church. The coffee tent was a small little thing, with 4 cushions for seating. The coffee was described to us as being akin to espresso and it was. Tickets are $1 each, but for every 10 that you purchase, you get 1 free. There is also a very short survey that you can fill out to get an additional 2 tickets for free. All in all, for a new festival ( I think this was only their 3rd year), it was pretty nice. I would have preferred more shopping and perhaps a few more historical exhibits, but they have time and room to grow. If you've never been, I recommend that you give it a chance and help support a newer member of the Milwaukee festival scene. The food, alone, is worth it! 107/2015
