The food was delicious. I ordered the shawarma mixed plate. The meat, veges, hummus all tasted fresh. The rice had a nice flavor without any overwhelming spices or herbs. When we entered, there was a lot of people in line for picking up their order. We sat down at a table and scanned the menu so it was easier for us to order. We ordered our food and had it within less than five minutes. The restaurant is very clean and the staff were very friendly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken. Shawarma and I loved my mixed grill. I was craving kebabs all day and we decided to try this place. The beef kebab was a little bit spicy, but that's OK. My favorite was the one that used the ground beef, but I'm not sure which one that Was. I'm sure a staff would tell you. They checked multiple times to see if we needed anything else or if we liked or didn't like the food. I will definitely return. Im glad the construction is finished on Ryan Rd because now it's easier to get here again! I really do like this place. The food is always fresh and tastes great. The meat is tender and juicy, the rice is fluffy and flavorful. Y'all know I love hummus. And the desserts are different every time I visit. This time I didn't even think before ordering the baklava. It was so flaky and sticky with honey. Just like my friend used to make! The dining area isn't fancy but it's clean and comfortable. There's plenty of seating available if you choose to dine in, but I see many people come through for carry-out orders. The staff here are always friendly and attentive. If you need anything or have any questions, just ask! One time they had what looked like a pie. The guy explained that it was a dessert called knafeh that is made with cheese, but it's a little sweet. I'm an easy mark. All he had to say was "cheese" and I was already getting my money out. I highly recommend the mixed grill plate, it's my favorite. But to be honest, I've never had anything that didn't taste great here. Went to Kabab house as I wanted to try their Gyro plate. Why? I wanted the Gyro with some hummus. Thought it be a good combination. Ordered quickly over the internet. Food was ready promptly. Took it home and opened it up, no hummus. Honestly it was 80% rice. Way too much rice (who can eat that much rice?), not enough meat and no hummus. Cost-24 dollars ouch! I ate the meat, maybe 4 bites of rice and some of the salad and tossed the rest. Will I try it again, probably as mistakes happen; however, they need to get the order right and get more value for the cost. On a side note, service at the front counter was good. read more

Just got off a flight and found this place on google. The portions are HUGE and the taste was out of this world. The best halal plate I've ever had hands down, and I am a sucker for them. I got the Beef Shawarma and lentil soup. The shawarma plate was gigantic and definitely can be split. Filled up the pita bread with it, and it was pure heaven. When that happens, the waitstaff is good about asking you what you ordered to make sure you get the right items. The food comes out within a solid time frame (waited no more than 10-15 minutes). FOOD: I ordered the lentil soup and beef kofta sandwich combo (includes fries+drink). The lentil soup was fresh out of the pot. It has HOT hot. I had to wait for it to cool down. Overall, it's a great portion and perfect on a gloomy day. The beef kofta sandwich was really good. The fries are seasoned and go well with the meat. The portion size is great. A Milwaukee 8... but a Dearborn 5. It was good, fine, did the job, but nothing to write home about. I got the mixed grill, with the lentil soup, I specifically asked to make sure the beef was cooked medium and not well done... it was well done, beef was tougher than it had to be and dry but the chicken tawook on the plate was very solid. There was something weird going on with the salad idk what it had on it maybe tahini or something but it definitely didn't look like the photos was almost a light hummus color. Newer kabab house where the old Korean/Chinese place used to be. It is half self-serve - you order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. We tried to help by bringing the plates back to the counter when we were done, but I think we are allowed to leave it at the table. There is nothing awesome about the interior. They might want to put up some decoration at some point? But most importantly, they need to give their tables a really good scrubbing, or use tablecloths. It's sticky. Customer service was nothing to wow at, but efficient. Food was awesome. Beef kofta - if you get this per skewer, it's 4. My favorite. Very tasty. Chicken tawook - hubby's favorite. (it's like chicken shish kabob. I think kabob refers to beef, and tarok refers to chicken) On the two occasions he had it (part of the mix shawarma grill plate) it was moist and flavorful. Nothing worse than dry chicken, but this one was perfect. beef shish kabob - very good, but not as flavorful as the kofta (which should be more flavorful by default, lol. It's like comparing steak to sausage) arabi chicken - I never had this dish before, but it was quite yummy. They make good chicken!! baba ghanough - ok, but I've had better. I like to order this because I'm not a huge fan of hummus, but actually, their hummus is comparable, so I wouldn't pay extra to get this again (I mean the hummus that comes with the plates) Rice - meh. Ok this place is so new it's only a week old so I thought a Steve stop by was in order for my thoughts and pictures. This is the old crispy crave space that's now a Mediterranean restaurant which is a step up because there is so few of them especially in my area. The place is fresh/modern/adult looking so they didn't go with any silly Mediterranean decor which I liked. The prices looked reasonable with a mixed grill dinner at $15.99 and considering a cheeseburger at most restaurants are approaching that price point and I'm not talking fast food. The mixed grill is 3 kabobs, yellow rice, hummus, cucumber salad, charred tomato and onion with a large flat bread. I grabbed my order to go and I was surprised at how hefty the bag was so this is going to be at least 2 meals for me. My first thought is that it looked and smelled great with a huge flat bread folded in a quarter just so it fit in the box. The kabobs are one white meat chicken, one beef chunks and one Kafta kabob. The beef kabob was slightly tough and cooked well done. The children kabob was charred nicely and cooked well done also but not to dried out but past juicy. The Kafta kabob was also cooked well. The hummus was good but I'm a sucker for hummus. The cucumber salad was cold and refreshing with a fresh crunch to it. Even though the rice was cooked past Al dente it was so delicious/flavorful and my favorite. The flat bread fresh but not super soft so I just spread the hummus on it and made little grilled meat sandwiches using the charred tomato and onion. Overall it completely satisfied my Mediterranean crave that I have for a long time so was it the best that I have ever had, no but it was still good and I really liked the combination of bread, meat, vegetables, beans and grains. This place marketed itself on Facebook, and as I love to try new places and am partial to middle-eastern food I made a point to stop in. They have an extensive menu, but I ordered something simple - a beef shish kabab sandwich. It was served very quickly by a kind and well-spoken staff member. The sandwich was served as a wrap, heated on a panini press. There were generous chunks of beef, onion, tomato and very thinly sliced pickles. The flavor was smoky, slightly spicy and delicious. The plate was served with fries, which were thick and crinkle-cut - cooked perfectly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my next visit when I will try something more exotic. This was my second time visiting Kabab House. The staff is friendly and very helpful at suggestions and explaining items on the menu. The food is brought out to your table promptly after ordering. The portions are very generous. (Both times I've been has been around 7pm and there's been other visitors and takeout/door dash orders). Last visit I had the falafel wrap and it was outstanding. This visit I wanted to try more of the meat/kabab options. I ordered the Mix Grill plate and I couldn't recommend it more. The beef shishkabob was very flavorful, chicken tawook very juicy and flavorful and the beef kofta classic and well seasoned. Rice and hummus also very delicious. Baba Ganoush also outstanding!
