Why this place is not rated higher seriously beats me. We came on a Friday night and it was not busy at all. Some people would run but we were lucky to get seated right away. They decorate the place for Halloween and had a faint inflatable spider in the corner. We loved our waitress. She was super funny and a little flighty but meant well and gave us great service. We started with a sangria and a maple Manhattan. I will say that their drinks are pricy but we both enjoyed our drinks. We got the mezze platter and the fresh naan was amazing because it woodfired. I wanted to bathe in the hummus. It was spicy and the perfect dip for the naan. It also came with a tomato/cucumber salad and whipped feta spread that my husband throughly enjoyed. Now our main meal was always just unbelievable. I got the MEDITERRANEAN STEAK PANINI which had Grilled flank, steak, arugula, caramelized, onions, balsamic aioli on ciabatta bread. It was such a nice take on most menus that are basic the aioli just made the sandwich and the fries were perfect. My husband got the pizza and he devoured it but did still have left overs. I love the outside seating and view of the river. It's such a great spot to hang out and have a glass of wine. Happy hour is two bucks off wine and beer so grab a table and relax. Most of the group had pizza and loved it. I opted for the shrimp risotto which unfortunately was not great because the veggies were oversalted. Things happen and they were nice enough to comp the meal. Service started out slow because we had a big group but once they got rolling it was great. I'll be back but probably will opt for the pizza because it looked fabulous. read more

Their outside seating area offers a prime view of the river while enjoying a nice sangria and some yummy food. We had the margherita pizza which can feed two, or one person if you are super hungry. We got the mozzarella "cigars" (sticks) to go which held their consistency after being reheated and enjoyed at home. I see that it appears as closed on Tuesdays, but they were open today, so do check for seasonal open hours/days as they may change. read more

This is a big location, I saw a private room that could hold about to 25, the main restaurant is good size and they have a bar/patio on the river walk with a dock. Lots of greenery inside, and a big wood fire oven for pizza (next time). We were the first ones in so it's hard to know how the service is when they're busy. I really enjoyed my food and drinks, other than the insane amount of dressing on my otherwise awesome salad. read more

We love visiting Brisa Do Mar! Each time we've had great service and excellent food. We love their riverside patio - for being on a river and a lake, Milwaukee does not have enough waterside dining. They have fun cocktails, a nice beer selection, and consistently delicious, fresh food. We are obsessed with their wood-fired pizzas - some of the best in Milwaukee! We had a good time at Brisa Do Mar this past week! We came for just some apps and drinks. I got the espresso martini and my bf got a High Life. The espresso martini was great! We decided on the Mezze platter which was super fresh and yummy. We were offered some extra bread by the server as well which was nice! I appreciated the sunset views and was happy to find that we were able to get sat outside on a Friday evening. I haven't had the pizza yet but I know that's what they're known for. Overall this place was okay. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, which is okay cause we were there on a Saturday night without a reservation. The staff was nice and helpful. The vibe of the place is like a chill pizza place - very similar to Riverfront Pizza cause they didn't actually change any of the inside when this place took over. The food was okay. They had a great pesto pasta with chicken. We also tried a couple pizzas and the more classic one with red sauce was just okay - not a big fan of their sauce. The other pizza was clearly the better quality one and it was amazing! Definitely smaller and more expensive but worth it! If I come back it would be to try something other than pizza. read more

First off the place has some pizza oven venting issues and the entire inside smells of wood smoke. We had to eat outside as it was just too much. Food was tasty the two times I was there this year, but that smokiness was a turnoff. read more

I was really disappointed in this restaurant. I really had a taste for spaghetti and meatballs and when I ordered she said they were out of meatballs! An Italian restaurant out of meatballs? So I instead I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, the chicken was way too crispy and tough and hard to chew. It came with fries which were very lackluster, not much taste and nothing special. The others at our table had the shrimp diavlo which they liked. we also had eggplant chips as an appetizer which were very good. The service was decent but it did take awhile for our server to come to the table. She seemed very busy like they didn't have enough waitresses. She was very nice. My husband and I are in Milwaukee at least once a month and havegone to so many restaurants. We love good quality food. This place exceeded our expectations. We sat outside on the river and saw boats coming and going and people strolling along the Riverwalk There was even a pontoon boat that hopped off for some cocktails. The second we walked in we could smell the fire from the pizza oven. The ambience is upscale casual. There's a huge long bar People were talking, but it wasn't loud. We had a Caprese salad with shrimp and two pizzas. Everything was amazing. Especially the Caprese salad with shrimp! I was literally using the pizza crust to scrape the bottom of the salad plate. Because it was a beautiful day sitting outside I wanted a glass of Chardonnay, but didn't know if I would like it. The waitress offered to bring me a sample. It was perfect. The manager came out and chatted with us for a while and shared some of his favorite dishes. We will definitely be back to try some of those!! read more

We had a large party (14) for a birthday brunch, which they were really accommodating of. But we quickly realized it was because it was dead on a Sunday morning and why. Server was nice enough throughout but we definitely caught her rolling her eyes at us? She did bring out a slice of cake for the birthday guest though, which we did appreciate. They advertise that this is a Mediterranean restaurant and we had a hard time deciphering what was Mediterranean about it. Highlights were probably just the drinks and getting to spend time together as a family. Overall, most of the proteins were pretty dry ( blackened salmon, chicken, branzino). Spaghetti and meatballs for the kids were watery and bland. You could probably get a better tasting/ more authentic Mediterranean salad from Crisp and Green if that says anything. The prawns tasted like they were frozen. The calamari, eggplant chips, hummus platter, mushroom pizza and pork app were all decent. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn't eat here again. The food is just mediocre (I've had factor meals better than this lol). Just wish we read more of the reviews before coming here because some of them are pretty on par. Wanted to love this place esp for an event and it's cute location on the water, but definitely a let down. read more

Pushed it up to a 4 because I really do want this place to be great. The wood burning oven is fire - so glad to see them using it! Pizzas and pastas are pretty good, garlic bread has been hit or miss the couple of times we had it, and the servers were good. Drinks were about $4 more expensive than they should have been. Much of the prior restaurant's decor was kept but there are some beautiful new pictures. Looks like one of the owners is quite a bit more involved in the cooking, checking in on all the guests, etc, than the other one is - it's noticeable. Just a bit of fine tuning :) read more

Really solid place -- great ambiance, location, service, menu and really tasty food. Our group of 20 came here on short notice and they were able to accommodate us and spoil us completely. Turkish salad was a salt bomb, uneatable, sent back. Pizza was mediocre, definitely not as good as riverfront's. Not just our table having issues, others around us shared similar experiences. The menu looked good and they have outdoor seating. We were seated outside but the table was rusty and scratched and the patio looked worn. Riverside, though. My friend had a foreign object in his water, so that was not co. The garlic bread was good. My friend is allergic to sesame seeds and asked if buns had them on burgers. (Strangely. The menu doesn't say.) She had to ask, because she didn't know. (How would you not, as a server, know this?) It came on a sesame seed bun. I got the Turkish chickpea salad with chicken. For $25 (yes, $25), I got greens so weighed down by the lemon dressing, it was flat. There were a small handful of chickpeas, no parsley or mint, or tomatoes. I had four tiny diced pieces of cucumber. And the driest, smallest portion of chicken. It wasn't warm so must've been sitting in a fridge somewhere. For $25. $25. Our bill for an average burger (bun couldn't be eaten), pathetic salad and iced tea was $60. If you are going to charge that much, at least make it be the best one you serve. I felt ripped off completely. I went out to dinner that night and had 2 burgers and cocktails and it was cheaper. Do better if your prices are so high. read more

The wood-fired pizza is great and the service is friendly. We ordered margherita pizza and Da Brisa, and they forgot to put soppressata on the Da Brisa, but it was still good and they took $4 off the bill and apologized. We came on the boat and it was easy to dock and go in. read more

Tried this new place. Nothing was done to change or improve the decor from when it was Riverfront Pizzeria. Upon entering there was an overwhelming burnt smell that wasn't pleasant. The menu is incredibly limited. The server couldn't answer a simple question about the Pizza Sauce. The Soft Drinks that we were served were totally flat, even the second round. The Di Parma Pizza I ordered was ok. Just ok. The Spaghetti that my companion ordered was watery and bland. . The place wasn't busy on a weekend which was both surprising and telling. It would take some major changes and improvements to get me to want to give it another try. Based on my first impression I predict it will be out of business by end of Summer or Fall. read more

Since we are not from Milwaukee, the restaurant owner himself called a cab for us. When the cab never came, this same owner called for and paid in advance for an Uber ride. This is a great addition to the 3rd Ward! I've had the pleasure of dining here twice, and both times the pizza was of excellent quality. The Salsiccia pizza has an amazing cheese to sauce ratio and the sausage is fantastic, and both the Pesto and Margherita Neapolitan pizzas are delicious! The food was outstanding and we would highly recommend the pizzas made from a wood burning oven, which is visible to the dinning area. Not good is not low enough! One of the absolute worst restaurants I have eaten at. Not only was it price wise a rip-off the food was awful. Had a pasta dish with grilled chicken. My question is where is the chicken.? Flat livers of tough meat- not a filet as I am accustomed to at other restaurants. My husband's steak panini sandwich was equally bad. The cheapest products are used and as I said ...so pricey. Two entrees and two glasses of wine was 80 dollars! OUTRAGEOUS. Avoid like the plague. The waitress was very sweet. read more

Lunch here was great. Their homemade sangria is fortified and delicious! Each component of everything we ordered was top quality. They're caprice salad had Heirloom tomatoes, really good olive oil with yummy reduced balsamic, finished with imported creamy Barada and super fresh arugula. We both loved it! This place is pretty bad. I took my family and there wasn't anyone who liked their food. The margarita we ordered had to be sent back because it was so bad. I've had better wings out of the frozen box. The chicken Alfredo was tasteless and bland and the pizzas were average at best. Our server was very kind and attentive but our food came out all together meaning we got apps with salads with mains. This place won't be open in 6 months. Save your money!! read more
