Went there tonight for pizza and drinks- will return. The pizza we had was a Supreme Dream. Most supreme pizzas have both sausage AND pepperoni- this one only has sausage . For the money paid, pepperoni should be part of the equation. Can't complain about the flavor or the cook of the pizza. Everything was done right. If I had one critique of the pizza flavor, it would be that it's slightly lacking sauce. Drinks were good. Wife got a nicely sized Wisconsin old fashioned (whiskey sweet) and I got a 3 Sheeps pilsner. One last critique- my wife and I are not "little" people. We really had to squeeze into the booth. First visit to this eclectic pizza/bar restaurant. I'm a pizza aficionado so must report they has the best thin crust pizza I've ever had in my 86 years! We walked from the Pfister hotel but they have valet parking if you wish. To top off our adventure-some travels, just before I left I found the cleanest bathroom in the back, on a par with our hotel. We ordered Flourchild pizza to go so I can only speak on that currently. We tried two pepperoni pizza's (one Tavern style crust and one regular). I enjoyed the tavern style the best (not pictured sadly) although it didn't come sliced/cut for some reason. The flavor was solid overall and I love the smaller pepperonis- so tasty! I would definitely recommend trying out a pizza with the ranch flight (for any ranch lovers)- it comes with 3 different samples. The truffle was my favorite but all were delicious! A group of friends and I met here for dinner and it was the perfect spot! The staff were super friendly and attentive - they were also kind enough to let us hang out there after dinner to chat because they weren't super busy the night we were there (thank you!!) Flourchild has been on my list for a long time, and when a friend and I were taking a yoga class literally around the block, I thought it was a great opportunity to try it out. The menu is pretty straightforward....build your own and specialty pizzas with a hand tossed crust or a tavern crust. (Although side note: they graciously accommodated my friends request for the kiddie cheese only pizza as she wasn't that hungry.) Salads, wings and apps round out the menu, and they have a decent cocktail (and mocktail!) List and beers on tap. The inside of the place was kind of like a shotgun apartment, with a huge colorful mural on the back wall. It was pretty modern and a lot of people seemed to be eating there before the evenings Bucks game. When you walk in there's also a freezer case full of take and bake frozen pizzas to the right. Our server was a great touch...friendly and fun and checked in on us just the right amount of times. What I got...The "club banger" with hand tossed crust...pepperoni, 2 types of mozzarella and "cheese curd dust" with a drizzle of Calabrian chili honey. Wow. It was so good. You can get different sauces on the side for about 1.5 - 2 dollars. The ranch tasted homemade and they give you a little bowl full. I had a lot of pizza to take with for a couple extranmeals. Speaking of "club bangers"... it was upon exiting i realized that 20+ years ago this restaurant was the house music club "Three." Absolutely amazing experience!!! It's very nice on the inside and there was an eclectic mural showcasing some fun stuff. The service was so great our waitress was so sweet, and the server was really cool too, he even offered a ranch flight (additional cost) with three different ranches, all 3 tasted amazing and paired well with the pizza, wish I got a picture. Now down to the food, I was very surprised with how much I liked the pizza, down to the crust. I'm not much of a thin pizza person but the crust had a great texture and wasn't too thin either. I had the chicken parm royale pizza, the chicken was well flavored and the pizza was nice and cheesy. My friend ordered daddy's pizza which she said tasted well and had lots of spice. Staff was nice, salad was fine, the pizza tasted okay. I acknowledge that the pizza style/taste is also just a reflection of my food preferences--just not my preferred style. We were waited on in an appropriate amount of time, the drinks and food came within an appropriate amount of time. Everything was just fine--nothing amazing stands out and I'll probably go to other pizza places in Milwaukee before returning. Visited Flourchild Pizza yesterday with the family to celebrate my son's birthday! He was craving good pizza and the folks at Flourchild did not disappoint. We started with drinks and the mozzarella stuffed garlic sticks. They were delicious with a side of vodka sauce. Then on to pizza! I first had Flourchild Pizza at my gym down the street. It was weird to have pizza at gym. Unsure if it's weirder that it was good. Promotional pizza, huh!? We love the happy hour. There's pizzas by the slice and good deals on other snacky foods. The cocktails and beer selection are good. They also have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed shots for IDK who. Me specifically? We've taken bigger groups for the 2 for 1 special. And we get some frozen pies for parties at our apartment. All of it is a really good. Took some visiting family to dinner the night they arrived, we wanted somewhere close and something easy. I had never been to flourchild before but I've heard great things. We went on a Thursday evening and it was nearly empty, though I did make a reservation just in case. The service was excellent. By far our favorite thing was the crispy sushi rice kale salad. Unique and very delicious, could easily be a meal in itself. We also got the truffle pizza which was definitely good but I've had better truffle pizzas elsewhere. After a long day of work, I really didn't want to make dinner for myself, so I got a pizza takeout from Flourchild. Now in all honesty, this wasn't my first time having a pizza from here, but I had only had a slice previously, so I was excited to try it again! Oh my god. Oh. My. God! The Curd Your Enthusiasm is without doubt one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life and definitively the best non-tomato based pizza I've ever had. I got the pizza extra crispy, which it certainly was (and maybe a bit much for my liking so I would just get it normal next time). The pizza is savory, salty, and sweet. The sauce is garlicky, the peppers are zingy, the cheese curds are creamy, and the caramelized onions are the perfect sweetness. It's DELIGHTFUL. The interior of the restaurant is a very cool space also! The mural is beautiful and there's a table next to the window by the entrance and the window opens up on a nice day. The staff was also very pleasant to interact with! The only downside is that the pizza is more expensive than I would ordinarily spend, but for one of the the best pizzas, I'll definitely be getting it again! read more

Date of visit: September 9, 2023 I get together with a few old co-workers on occasion and we try and find a fun new place to eat when we do. This time around we tried Flourchild, which was a decidedly mixed experience. I really like the decor and location, it's amongst a bunch of other restaurants and as it was nice out, they had the garage door open to the outside. There was no one else in the restaurant and we were seated right near the garage door, which was nice. While there were a few carryout orders, the lack of other diners made the long wait times confusing to me. It took a few minutes for our party to come together, but we weren't waited on until everyone had been assembled for a while and even after that, everything was a significant wait. Thankfully the food was quite good. None of the pre-built pizzas were appealing to me as they all had at least one thing on it that I would not like so I opted for a Build Your Own Mushroom and Sausage. I went for the Creamy Garlic dipping sauce, which I hoped was more like what they have at Papa John's, but instead this had more of a mayo consistency. I didn't love it, but it did make the crust more palatable as it was pretty dry and crispy. Also disappointing was that it's on the menu for $1 but I was charged $2 for it. Not a huge deal, but when you're also adding a Wellness Surcharge to an already pricy pie, I don't appreciate the sneaky charge. read more

My guess is this is not a dedicated GF workspace. If you have specific gluten-needs you should definitely call ahead. Our two 14" pizzas arrived fairly quickly and we dug in! We did a spicy sausage, cream cheese pizza and also a pizza with white sauce and bacon. Our take on the pizzas is that they were fine. I feel like there are a lot of pizza options in Milwaukee and we both agreed that we've had better but we've also had worse. Our bill was pretty close to $120 which feels steep for what we got. They were just okay, as they came out a little cold and didn't stand out to us. We then got 2 pizzas. The Club Banger was our favorite and we would go back just for that pizza! The chili honey tasted just like mikes hot honey which is my favorite on pepperoni pizza! I loved the thick crust and flavor was great. The second pizza we got, the goldeneye, was definitely interesting. It's one of those pizzas I couldn't have more than 1 slice in a sitting of. I wouldn't get it again but was glad we tried it. The inside of this restaurant is super cute! Plants, murals, and an open garage door with seating near it. I dined here during restaurant week with my husband and we got the table closest to the open door, which was perfect. I ordered off the restaurant week menu, and my husband ordered from the regular menu. What was offered to me was an app, pizza, and dessert. I got the house salad, club banger (pepperoni) pizza, and banana parfait. I love the house salad! The peppers were too spicy for me, but the house vinaigrette is delicious. I also loved my pizza. It was a little on the crispy end, but those pepperonis are scrumptious! I could leave the banana parfait but whatever. My husband ordered cheesy garlic breadsticks and the daddy's pizza (sans onion and peppers). The breadsticks are huge and come with vodka sauce for dipping which we both thoroughly enjoyed. As I grow older it seems like 'good pizza' gets harder to find. I've been on a quest for the past 5 years (of living in Milwaukee) to find just that: really good pizza! After my visit to Flourchild, I can safely say that I have hit the pizza jackpot! I don't want to oversell it but this is the best pizza I have had in 11 years! We had the Daddy's Pizza; a bonafide explosion of flavor and textures. You can literally feel and taste the home made freshness. The crust was like a focaccia but with crunch. Instead of the typically tasty mozzarella, they added dollops of stracciatella to take it over the top! It is so rich, so outstanding that one or two slices go a long way. One word of caution: the peppers make it very spicy. Next time I will have a similar pie minus the peppers or maybe ask for less. The zucchini cakes are a must try! Absolutely delightful!
