Pizza Shuttle: This Milwaukee exclusive pizza joint is located on the Upper East Side a short distance from UW-Milwaukee. It was founded in 1985 by friends Mark & Lou, but it wasn't until 1995 that Pizza Shuttle moved to its current location. In 2021 it became an employee-owned business. I loved Pizza Shuttle from the time I was an undergrad 15 years ago until 2022 when I got some of the worst customer service in my life (if you dig through my reviews, I posted it in late August or early September of 2022). Just to show you how bad my order was messed up on that visit, I'll include a picture of that pizza compared to the one I picked up recently. Keep in mind, it's supposed to be the exact same order/pizza. Nobody from Pizza Shuttle ever reached out for service recovery (on Google, Yelp, or Instagram). I swore off Pizza Shuttle pizza after that, but I decided that I could give them another shot since I received a coupon that covered all but a couple dollars. What I missed the most about Pizza Shuttle was their thick and chewy garlic butter pizza crust. My custom creation uses that crust, paired with rich and creamy alfredo sauce and plenty of mozzarella cheese. I love the vibe of this place. They have a small covered parking area as well as street parking. An elevator to get upstairs for those of us that aren't exceptionally coordinated ‍ This is a place where you walk in and order so it's not a bad idea to look at the menu ahead of time. I just watched a guy eating chicken wings, licking the sauce off from his fingers. He then turned around and put on a pair of gloves without washing his hands. I walked over to ask him why he would do that. He was extremely rude to me and said he put on clean gloves. When I told him he touched the outside of the gloves with his spit covered hands, he replied with "are you a health inspector". I asked for the managers number and he said he was the manager. I'm so disgusted at this point with his behavior. I spoke with another worker in the area and said he would talk to someone about it. I would NOT recommend eating here. My stomach is still not right! The cheese pizza was so greasy that my daughter decided to not even eat it. We ordered Beef and Jalapeños, our favorite and 2 types of wings. I was shocked to find that I hadn't ever reviewed the Shuttle, given how long I have been stopping in or ordering delivery for work. How unfortunate for them that a less-than-stellar experience is what reminded me to give a review. When it came time to order food for my team's holiday luncheon, Pizza Shuttle came to mind almost instantly. Online ordering is a breeze, the food is always good, and they show up on time. This particular experience is one where only the first two attributes came through as the website was flawless and the food was as tasty as always. My order confirmation indicated that the four pizzas and breadsticks would be there at 12:06 p.m. Fifteen minutes after that time, I decided to call to check on my order. After several minutes of hold time (I got to listen to all of the PSAs twice, yay!), I was connected with someone who checked on my order and confirmed that the driver was already en route. No apology or acknowledgment that the order was pretty far past the delivery time. Given that another 10 minutes passed before the driver phoned me to say he was nearby, I call BS on the en route line. And the driver--while pleasant--did not speak to the large delay, either. I'm not angling for free food, I just want someone to take ownership of the breakdown, especially because this delay affected a dozen people. I'll probably go a different direction the next time we need food for a work meeting. There's someone else that will put forth a bit more effort for my business. read more

I come here every week with my mom for the past 3 years. Unfortunately they decided to make some changes to save money. The pizza slices are half the size, don't taste as good, and even the to go boxes they switched to using do not close (at all). The pizza slices are also always cold nowadays. The pizza was delivered within an hour of ordering. While he was happy with the chicken/bacon/alfredo pizza, I thought it was just okay. Maybe it was because it lost some luster via delivery. The cheese and sausage pizza was also just okay. All the pizzas looked like they stayed in the oven a minute too long - not burned, but browned and a bit dry. Was in town for a work charity event last weekend and ordered at 11 last Saturday night after my rubber chicken charity dinner (chicken wasn't quite rubber, but close enough). Pizza Shuttle has a burger spot within it called "Buddha's Burgers" that is only available for delivery. It's part of pizza shuttle, but has almost a secret menu that isn't listed on it's regular website and can only be found via third party delivery services. Pros: Went with Habanero Ranch Bacon Burger and subbed the cheddar cheese for ghost pepper cheese. Adding on the ghost pepper definitely made this burger one of the spicier that I've ever had, especially considering that the habanero ranch offered some legit kick in it's own right! Bacon was chopped up in bacon bits (I'm assuming the ones they use for the pizza), but was crisp and I think I actually preferred it as opposed to the strips. Cons: Delivery time was CRAZY long. The Uber Eats driver called me and was there for 30 mins waiting on the food, making my delivery over a half hour late. The chips were also awful, as they were the super generic no-name ones you can buy at Wal-Mart. If you're going to opt for things, definitely pay the few extra bucks and get fries/onion rings. All in all, solid bang for your buck ($10), super spicy burger, and very good as late night option. Just be prepared for a wait and some absolutely awful chips. read more

I received a survey email the other day which said I'd get a free medium 2-topping pizza if I did it. Sweet! Free pizza can't be a bad thing. I ordered online and showed up about 30 minutes later. The pizza wasn't ready yet but I only waited about 5 minutes (Kinda busy for a Sunday night). At 65 minutes we called to check on the status as we were still waiting. Employee was pleasant and told us they were just waiting on the driver.
