Poor visit here recently. We tried stopping in on valentine's day to get the heart shaped pizza since we haven't tried it yet. The line was slow moving with at least 7 people waiting and we heard orders were taking over 45 minutes after ordering. That being said, we waited for the day after to try again. Stopped in at 4:30pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. Awesome! But, the staff seemed more interested in chatting and entertaining the children running around in the lobby. We placed our order (1 pizza and 1 order of breadsticks) but didn't hear how long it would take. As 5pm rolled around (along with another 5 -8 people ordering in the meantime), we tried checking in on our order. We were told it's "being worked on". This was after we saw another employee come from the kitchen and chat for about 5 minutes with the front staff. Many people came in from the drive thru asking for the order saying they've been waiting at least 20 minutes. Every time someone got close to wrapping up our order (literally just grabbing an order of breadsticks), they would get distracted and walk away to do something else. It was excruciating that a pizza and sticks took over 40 minutes when it was empty there. If we come back, we plan on ordering well in advance and show up late to ensure the food is actually ready. Otherwise, the price isn't worth the hassle given the poor customer service here. There isn't much in the way of ambiance here - you could dine in but probably would prefer grab and go. The pizza was good but small for the price. The breadsticks were gummy and may not have been baked all the way through. read more

Tonight I got the Extra Cheesy Superoni and it came with the nicest crust - so soft like fresh out the oven. Ok I admit I have loved this deep dish pizza for more years than I will admit and it never disappoints. The sausage has the best flavor of any I've had and although I miss the whole wheat crust (yes this dates me) I still love the pizza . This visit was a takeout visit and the staff was busy but acknowledged us immediately. It was later in a Friday night and we had a good choice is slices and staff was helpful. Never again. The drive through is actually a waiting area because it took 12 minutes to get the pizza. My boss eats here at least once a week if not more so after all these years I thought I would see what he likes so much about this place. First off the drive through takes a long time to get through when there was only one car in front of me. I would sample the super slice 3/4 pound of sausage and pepperoni pan pizza. The whole pizza had a sweet taste to it and it comes out fresh and hot with melty cheese, I didn't care for the sweetness at all. The pepperoni was sliced so thin that it was a whiff of flavor at best, I thought they forgot the pepperoni until I saw it under the cheese. The sausage was that bulk cooked crap that you would expect from fast food pizza places, the frozen pizza kind. The crust was thick/soft with a golden brown color and crisp on the sides. The cheese was a thin layer and even being hot there was no good stringy pull from the cheese because of the thinness. This is not a pizza that I totally liked but it was ok if you wanted a slice and you had no where else to go. I can see its appeal if you don't want a whole pizza and just want a slice but it is not great pizza just like the quarter pounder with cheese is not a great cheese burger. read more

Update overdue. Im still a fan of Rocky Rococo pizza. This locations pizza has become average perhaps a new pizza baker? The crust came out lightly browned not as crisp as I remember. My slice was plenty hot after a short wait 2 minutes. The sausages were very thin and placed too close to the edge. The pepperoni was thin and really didn't have much flavor. Contrasted to the cheese. See picture. My guess the regular cook is gone attention to detail took a step back. Too bad. I ordered a super slice and a soda it was a little over $6.00. Usually I go through the drive-thru but decided to pop inside this time. At first impression, this location is cleaner than others I've been to. The food itself was very average - perhaps just a slow day. The pizza had virtually no sauce (as pictured) and was soggy from condensation. When I ordered the veggie pizza instead of just saying we don't have that the team provided me options. They let me know how long each option would take. I ended up deciding on a ready made slice which was thoughtfully packed up. And I was wished a nice night and a safe drive. This is easily the worst location in the entire Milwaukee area. The workers don't care about providing good service to the customer at all. Out of the last 3 times we have visited this location, all 3 times w heave been missing food and had to circle back around into the drive thru. We spent $50 last time and when we got the bag it felt light but my partner was antsy so we pulled off to the side and in the bag was only 2 regular slices and one breadstick. Missing 4 super slices and 3 other breadsticks. The quality of food and also gone way down. The pizzas are never fully baked leaving the dough, well, doughy and they overdo it with the sauce, drowning the pizza in it. Avoid this location at all costs and drive out of your way to the one on Miller Parkway, light years better. read more

Rocky's pizza is really good, but I ordered one on Brown Deer Road and whoever made the pizza, did not do a good job. My complaint is the dough was not cooked all the way. and I bought the family meal for $30.00. If teenagers are making the pizza, they need to be trained how to make it right. Rocky's is not cheap, but working people would like a treat every once in a while, and to be able to enjoy it. I will not go back to this location. The service was fine, the employees were very nice. Rocky Ricoco's, like the Statue of Liberty in New York City, is the one place you have to experience in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their pizza's are big, rectangular, and loaded with zesty sauce, delicious cheese, and loads of awesome meats. Try "The Motherlode" for a 5-cheese, massive sausage fest of biblical proportions. The sausage is unbelieveably good, and obscenely plentiful. Each piece of sausage is a patty almost the size of your palm. Let me repeat: ALMOST THE SIZE OF YOUR PALM!" I also loved "The Works:" sausage and pepperoni loaded with veggies. "The Perfect" is also a nice option: onions, peppers, and mushrooms along with the giant sausage (see uploaded picture #2). I love this place and wish I didn't have to travel 1500 miles to experience the Holy Grail of sausage pizzas. I hear they have one in Spokane, Washington of all places, so I'll have to check that one out soon. They have many locations in Milwaukee, but this one is outstanding. read more

One car in front of me and I waited 3 minutes after their order was taken and they pulled ahead. While not the healthiest food, the breadsticks are worth breaking your diet for. The staff is friendly, store is clean, and I've never had bad service or a bad experience here. We stopped in with a group of 4 boys after a Scout outing and it was a really nice experience. I'm not really a fan of Rocky pizza, too much dough for my liking but it did taste good. We ordered a meal deal that came with a large pizza, 4 sodas, 2 orders of bread sticks and a bag of M&Ms - all for $20. Looking over the menu it seems to be pretty reasonable with the exception of the salad bar, that was a bit pricey which is kind of sad because it wasn't touched and therefore I would think it would be a lot of food waste. Don't know what it's like the rest of the time but we were there on a weekday at dinner time. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was clean and comfy. Food was hot and timely. We live in Illinois and there aren't any Rocky's in Illinois anymore so we usually pick up pizza to take home whenever we are in Wisconsin. This was our first visit to this location. I called ahead to place our order, staff was very friendly and efficient on the phone. We picked up our order and the woman at the counter was very personable! The manager was also very nice. She asked if we needed any plates or anything, which I probably should've said yes because the pizza smelled so good we started eating it on the way home. The pizza was delicious!!! I'm a Rocky's fan and despite this location being close to my house, I never go because it's just not easy to get to with the constant construction and need to do U-turns and deal with traffic. Went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. My food was fine, though my sausage slice had a whole three sausages on it. Ladies were friendly and food came up fast. I'm a long time Rocky's pizza fan - I enjoy the variety and taste of the doughy single portion options. But as I'm getting older and my metabolism has slowed, I'm happily ordering the salad bar more and more. I regularly visit all of the Milwaukee area Rocky's and find the salad bars clean, fresh and with a nice variety. I like that they always have hard boiled eggs, broccoli, and pickle slices - just a few items that many salad bars don't have. And for under $5, the single trip plate is all I need.
