I called and ordered a medium pepperoni and a large BBQ chicken pizza. I never asked for the speciality whatever they have as I've never even been to this place. I simply said I just want a BBQ chicken pizza. Apparently I should not have been so vague. Pizza showed up in the 45 mins they stated. Ran to my hotel room where my friends where waiting and opened the pizza and I was like whoa what is that. Note I do not do well with spicy food. So to my surprise the entire pizza was covered in jalapeños! Also note it was 3am. I immediately called the place and was told they could make another pizza but I seriously wasn't going to make it to 4am waiting. I asked if they could do a partial refund for the confusion and they said no. He so kindly (not really) let me know that obviously my normal BBQ chicken is different then their normal here in MKE and that it was also their most popular (like I'm an idiot). Well I have traveled to almost every state and I've never had a BBQ chicken pizza that looks like this. So just note that if you order a BBQ chicken pizza it will be covered in jalapeño and cheddar cheese and you can try to pick the jalapeño off but the entire pizza is still spicy and it ruined the pizza and made the whole thing taste funky. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. Went there for the BIER SPECIAL and got the slice, breadsticks, and beer. Got the pizza and beer right away. After waiting 30 minutes went up to counter really upset. They said it would be another 5 minutes. Dumped what was left of beer and left. So mad. Worst was that you would have thought the cashier would have known I was upset and tried to say something to calm me down. Felt like they just could care less. We were looking for something "different" than just a typical Pizza or Chinese place. The first issue I found really annoying was the website. The menu page is half covered by their banner. It makes it REALLY hard to see what you're scrolling through. I took a deep breath and continued anyway. The sandwiches sounded good so we ordered two. Being a little homesick I ordered the "Chicago Italian Beef." Actually, we both did. How do I begin? It was WHIMPY. Barely any beef and although the description says: "We buy from an Italian guy in Chicago" No restaurant serving Chicago style Italian beef would EVER be so SKIMPY in their portions. Plus...um, if you're going to claim it's a Chicago Italian Beef, then here are some lessons: 1) Chicago ALWAYS overloads the beef. 2) It's ALWAYS served on one of two rolls - either Turano Italian French Rolls or Rosen's French rolls. No exceptions! 3) If you're going to offer this sandwich and call it a "Chicago" Italian beef, know that there are ALWAYS three levels of wetness. Dry, wet and dipped! And we DO NOT call it "Au Jus" EVER! Not some dinky cup of dirty water! AND they were cold!? WTH? These were just sad, left us hungry AND broke! $11 for one - I can't even call it a "sandwich" unless you're talking school lunch sandwich. And add on the delivery fees, tip and taxes. This place is delicious! It is very family friendly... there were a few families like ours here on a recent Friday which was nice to see! We have been making quite the tour of pizza places recently and we LOVED this pizza. Their pizza is large, filling, and well-priced especially if you go M-W which is when the pizzas are a total steal. Anyway, the pizza was a hit with my husband, my kids, and myself. Here, you order at the counter and wait for them to call your number. It is super casual with paper plates and plastic forks/knives that you grab yourself. They don't give out cups for water, but they sell bottles of water for less than 50 cents! No too bad! They have a nice beer list. They told us the wait time would be long, so we we're prepared for the wait. It was also 1:30am which made us extremely happy that someone was still open. I ordered a gourmet pizza- sausage amore a few weeks ago- added mushrooms and a 2 litter soda before 6:30pm. My bill totaled over $40.00 for these two items for delivery. I was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour to receive my order. I called an hour later and my order was walking out the door. I did not receive it until thirty minutes after it left the restaurant. It took an hour and a half to get my order. My pizza was cold. I called to let them know. The guy taking the order gave me two choices- to get a new pizza or a credit. I paid $27 PLUS extra to add mushrooms. It would have been around 10:00pm to get a new pizza. I chose the credit. I called today to use my credit- he didn't tell me the credit was only $15. Crazy good pizza! This place was packed on a Friday night, but I ordered ahead for take out. The Detroit style was super yummy! We also tried the Mac and Cheese Pizza. I was skeptical that it would be tasty after having the famous Mac and Cheese Pizza in Madison but we ordered anyway, because our 6 yr old is obsessed with Mac and cheese. While not something I would order every week, this one was actually delicious and not greasy and gross. Definitely worth trying. read more

What a awesome little pizza shop!! They had ice cream too for which I reluctantly did not indulge in. You order when you come in. You can see you pizza and order by the slice. They also have wings , like big wings that were tasty!! This was great for my kids they only needed their one big slice of cheese pizza!! Now the pizza is thick crust so for thin crust lovers this was not the spot for you. I personally love pizza thick and thin so I give it two thumbs up!! Oh they also had wild cherry Pepsi as a choice at the drink fountain!! Forget water I had to have some!! This is a great place to drag the family for an easy, quick, and affordable meal. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I definitely would. The employees were completely rude when I called about my messed up order. There was no marinara sauce on our pizza instead the marinara sauce was replaced with ranch when I had asked for ranch ON the side several times. Pizza was not cooked throughly which lead to stomach pains and could eventually lead to a food borne illness which are infectious/toxic. If your party, family, or friends would like to avoid potentially running into a similar situation and avoiding developing food borne illnesses due to the lack of care I highly recommend to not order from this restaurant. read more

Terrible customer service. I have been a customer since 2000. Getting deliveries to the same address. On many occasions I've had my order messed up so like anyone you call and ask for what you order for. Then on one random occasion they refuse to take a cash delivery even after 20 years of loyalty. WE HAVE ALWAYS PAID! I call today get put on hold for 19 minutes and yes do to us cutting back on ordering out we haven't ordered in a while. They tell us that I have "notes" in my account that I after 20 years can't get deliveries. Mind you they also told me that since I am a back house they didn't like that. Ridiculous for 20 years drivers have walked to the back. Ridiculous they also call when here and I always run out. IDK what changed but you just lost a long time customer. read more

For decades Pizza Shuttle has had some of the best hand tossed pizzas and best prices in the Milwaukee area. This year ownership changed, and more recently, all the prices. Given inflation it would be reasonable to expect items to go up by a few dollars. I was not impressed with the pizza, but I loved and highly recommend the broasted chicken! It was so juicy, even after I zapped it in the microwave the next day for leftovers. A phone call from around 1994: "Oh wow, when I come up there does pizza hut deliver to the dorms?" "We don't have pizza hut, its pizza shuttle up here." "Is it any good?" "No it's kind of gross but they deliver late." Many 20-something romantic dramas were solved with a girlfriend over an order of their breadsticks during a too long visit to their weird little dining room. Longtime friendships were made at 2:45 am by ordering wings and mozzarella sticks from "the shuttle". The place serves a little bit of everything (menu is the size of a small newspaper) from pizzas with cashews as toppings, to a lebanese chicken sandwich to funnel cakes. Luckily I've whittled my orders down over the years and have sampled way too much of the menu so you don't have to (unless you want to -- and i can't judge you based on what I've ingested from here over the years) The Good: Sicilian pizza (any pizza really, esp. if you like it doughy) Cheeseburgers Wings (really surprisingly good and many flavors) Chicken strips with mashed potatoes and gravy Ice cream Their brownie sundae Mozzarella sticks The Gross/"I can't believe I waited for delivery of that": Sub sandwiches (dry and gross) Fish fry Garlic bread Bosco sticks (dry and gross -- possibly a theme here) Veggie burger (dry) Any pasta dish (too salty) You're hungry, forget to order and its past 4 am on a Friday night? A small group of us headed in to Pizza Shuttle to assuage the pain of losing (and to soak up some of the beer). Slices for less than $2? Sounds good. Beer on tap? Okay! Cheese sticks? Don't mind if I do! Nothing was really great...but it certainly wasn't bad either. Dang, I have been here a lot, although less often in more recent years because I'm partial to Classic Slice and Transfer for my pizza needs. Pizza Shuttle gets the job done, though. We go way back - ordering delivery when I lived on my lonesome and even having a first date here long before the renovations. I remember they used to have those plastic, red and white checkered table cloths and the high schoolers kept playing Sublime songs on the jukebox over and over. Is that eccentric guy still there playing doorman and giving a friendly word or compliment to everyone who came in? Pizza Shuttle has a lot more than pizza and everything is decent. The staff are always super friendly. It seems like they always find some sort of deal to offer, too. And it's not just them trying to upsell, like a lot of places might. I remember coming here 10 years ago or more and being really impressed. A friend wanted to go recently. It brought back memories. They sell pan style pizza-- think pizza hut-- and many sides and other items you might associate with pizza. Menu is pretty extensive. Biggest advantage is they are open late. The staff is usually quite friendly and helpful. The pizza was not as good as I remembered. Honestly, it wasnt that much different from pizza hut's pan style pizza. Ingredients did not taste fresh. The pinwheels, on the other hand, were GREAT. I enjoyed those so much more than the pizza. I got them with pepperoni and cheese, so they were basically pepperoni rolls. I wouldnt mind going back given the limited options open late, but I'd probably pick something other than pizza. read more

I got the mac and cheese pizza and a few sides. It's a little pricey, but so is everything in the city, not to mention that it's a local business. It was worth the cost though!
