I can't believe the 3 star average this place gets! I had Pizza Shuttle twice in two days while in Milwaukee, and I do eat a LOT of pizza. So when I say that Pizza Shuttle is pretty damn good, it must be true. This review is only for dine-in and carry-out. The menu is very deep, they have specials that you can look up online for every day of the week. Had the thin crust Works, wife had thin crust spinach artichoke and tomato, both were personal sized. I couldn't believe the amount of topping a pizza this thin could hold...perfectly cooked to a crisp, good cheese, it was so good we had to have it twice l over the weekend. For now, I'll consider Pizza Shuttle my king of pizza in MKE, until another pizza prince seizes the throne. Bonus, they deliver until 4am on the weekends. I've ordered for delivery from Pizza Shuttle many times and their pizza is good, not great but good. The second to the last time I ordered for delivery from them my pizza arrived tipped so that all the toppings were on one side of the pizza. I checked it before I signed for my order and tip as this was the second time my pizza was tipped. The delivery guy was very nice about it and called Pizza Shuttle with his phone on speaker. After he gave the woman my info she said "That guy's an asshole" he promptly told her she was on speaker. When I ordered my pizza that night I asked if they had Canadian bacon to which she replied "do you mean bacon or ham." I told her no and I meant Canadian bacon. She said people called it one or the other. I asked her if she could find out but she just kept telling me that it was called bacon or ham by people. I finally asked if I could speak with someone who could give me a yes or no answer. Apparently she took exception to this as I found out on the delivery man's phone. He couldn't have been nicer. He apologized profusely gave me the owners phone number and told me to call next day during business hours to speak with the owner. My replacement pizza took longer than normal to receive and was delivered by another delivery man. I called Pizza Shuttle the next day but didn't get to speak with the owner or a manager. The person on the phone apologized and said someone would get back to me. That was June 30th it is September 1st and no one has called back. I gave them another chance and ordered a gyro plate, spicy chicken with 2 side orders. I couldn't eat the gyro sandwich it tasted so bad. The fries were soggy, the chicken was dry and tasteless not very spicy. I have worked with the public at several jobs as well as owning my own business and would never have handled a situation this poorly or provided such a poor quality product or service. I gave Pizza Shuttle a fair chance but was not impressed or satisfied with them or their non-pizza items. read more

I love Pizza Shuttle. The few times I have gone (dined in) I have had fun and the food is delicious. The pizza is amazing! Have a late night craving for ice cream? Go to Pizza Shuttle! I have ordered from this MKE institution more than a couple of times and always after at least a few drinks...yep, it's definitely one of those places for me! For all of those stats folk, there is a strong correlation between drinks consumed and ordering from this spot - simply no denying it! Okay, so do drunk eats always mean crummy food? Hold the phone. Let's not get too hasty now...let's roll with this... Pizza: pizza here is hit or miss. The regular crust has WAY too much dough for me; lesson learned I order thin only from now on. The thin is okay to good and crispy (mostly even through the middle). However, sauce is a little sweet without much flavor but hey, it's ok. The major problem with their pizza is they advertise 40 ingredients or what not and they do not ever have them all in stock. I have ordered pizza only to find peppadews replaced (with no phone call or anything) with banana peppers and so on...if you run out of an ingredient Call! I may not like your replacement....just a simple customer service thing... Fried food (somehow) almost always retains a lot of heat and crisp despite being delivered! Well done drivers, well done. Ordered a delivery from here based on my friend's high praise saying this is her favorite pizza place in milwaukee, only came out to be kind of disappointed. I ordered a small 3 topping pizza with bbq sauce, chicken, red onions, and mushroom, 1/2lb boneless wings with honey mustard, cheese curds, and a free order of bread sticks. The delivery was quite fast with only 35mins compare to their website stating minimum of 60mins. I think their dough was pretty good. It's chewy which I like but I personally think their sauce was a little bland. The bbq pizza didn't have much flavor to me but the presentation was good. The bread sticks had good texture but way too oily. Cheese curds and wings were pretty average. Maybe I came in with high expectation but I feel like there is other option in town with same price points but better pizza. read more

I remember coming here as a kid of about 9, then still eating here when I was in my late teens. The food was great back then and for the price at the time you couldn't beat it. Sadly that's changed, the food has gone down hill and the price has went up (the rating has nothing to do with the price due to inflation). The last time I went the pizza was no better than a frozen pizza. It's sad to see it go down hill like that. Not to mention I no longer feel safe eating here. It's gotten to dangerous for me, one time eating here there was a fight, another time as I was leaving another fight broke out next to my car and one of the guys pulled a gun out. I've even had people try to start fights with me in there solely for looking at them and nodding my head. I really wish there was something that could be done about the safety, but I doubt that will be feasible since they can't control who walks through the doors. Not only do they have the coolest, most humongous colorful menu that can double as a poster, Pizza Shuttle actually does have some very tasty late night food. I love their original hand tossed crust pizza with Italian sausage and pepperoni, and the fresh chopped garlic is a nice touch. Rib tips and broasted chicken are a must as well. If I could give a lower score, I would. This is the message I emailed to the owner, and I am also posting here to make sure it's seen. I placed an order at 6:15PM, and received the confirmation email stating it would be delivered between 7:15PM-7:25PM. At 7:43PM, I decided to call and find out the status of my order. I spoke to Amelia, who informed me that there had been a glitch in the system, where it had frozen. She proceeded to explain that when this happens, the orders usually still go through, meaning once the system was running, nobody verified to make sure this was the case. I asked to speak to a manager, and was placed on a brief hold. After a minute or so, Amelia came back to the phone and informed me there was actually a "twist in the story." The manager, John, had informed her that they had attempted to make the delivery, but when they called my cell phone nobody had responded, so they left. I let Amelia know that this was not true, as I have had my phone next to me the entire time. I also expressed my frustration that I had asked for the manager, who dismissed my request and sent her to speak to me once again. At this point, Amelia became very rude/hostile towards me, and told me that in her opinion, I was taking this way too far. I responded that at the moment, I was not asking for her opinion. I had asked for a manager, and to find out what was really going on with my order since I had been told very different things at this point. She proceeded to call me annoying. I asked her to repeat what she said, and she said "you heard what I said." I asked for my food to be redelivered, and to add a secondary phone number in the eventide staff attempted to lie and insult me again. After about ten minutes of this phone call, Amelia called me back and told me she had found out that they had put in the order with the wrong phone number, hence why I never got a call. Although she apologized for this now THIRD scenario, she never apologized for insulting me. Not even at this point did the manager come to the phone to speak to me! Amelia does not know how to speak to customers, and was unable to verify was truly happened before giving me three different explanations. I have never experience such unprofessionalism, and poor customer service. I contacted grub hub, who attempted to help me with a refund after being verbally abused, which the establishment denied because they gave me a gift certificate...why would I EVER want to order from here again after this experience? read more

Ok I'm a pizza snob hands down, I'm from Chicago so I know my pizza inside and out.... Pizza Shuttle is ok. Think of it as a higher quality papa johns pizza. I had their original crust pizza so I couldn't comment on what their thin crust is but it's really nothing special. I will say the toppings are very fresh and I would prefer this to pizza hut, dominos, etc and would order from there if they were in the chicagoland area but this is just typical fastfood style pizza. It seemed like a Milwaukee favorite because the place was jumping but I figured the pizza would be phenominal but it really wasnt, if this is the better pizzas in Milwaukee I kinda feel bad but it is what it is. Honestly, it's my favorite pizza in Milwaukee. That's not really saying much, but at the same time it is. Milwaukee has an affinity for thin crust and I do not. Pizza Shuttle's hand tossed crust is good. Their sauce is a little on the plain side but they aren't afraid to pile it on when you ask for extra sauce. Toppings are often very generous and the specialty pizzas get pretty crazy. Cheap beer, ice cream, complete menu besides pizza... My biggest beef is the smoking. It's ridiculous to have smoking in a pizza place filled with kids. That will be taken care of soon enough. Then they might be bumped up to four starts. One thing to remember with Pizza Shuttle is that fresher is definitely better. I highly recommend eating it there or picking it up your self. Not the I've have problems with delivery or anything, but fresher is better. read more

Got a slice with my friend and some cheese curds for around 10$. The pizza was just okay, and had little to no sauce on it. The cheese curds, which were 8 dollars, came out in a little basket...they were listed as a half pound of curds. Don't get me wrong, they were the best cheese curds I've ever had; and that says a lot for me being a Wisconsinite. However 8 bucks is a little steep for 15 small curds. Ample amounts of sausage and black olive, but literally four pieces of broccoli visible. When I called, the kitchen said the broccoli was underneath the cheese... If it's under the cheese, you'd think it would be visible and not the smallest florets in the history of broccoli. So yeah, being a frequent buyer of your za, this is really disappointing and probably my last experience with y'all. We love Pizza Shuttle's food, but we're very disappointed tonight. We ordered Nashville Hot Chicken online for pick-up. When my husband got home, he had broasted chicken. In his receipt it said broasted chicken, but on the online order, it said Nashville hot chicken. He spent over 20 minutes on the phone waiting, and then discussing the matter when he was told that the manager had to approve his replacement meal. So far, it's all understandable even though he had just watched me eat my dinner. Now comes the appalling part.... He was completely willing to go and pick up the corrected order, but they asked him to bring back the first order and cited "their policy"! The most underrated wings in the city...by far my favorite BBQ wings in Milwaukee, they use sweet baby Ray's sauce, very flavorful juicy breading. Not your traditional bar wings, but that's what makes them great. Best to order them extra crispy. I just wish I could get delivery where I live. Not sure if those who complain about customer service are just grumpy or if Pizza Shuttle is actively trying to step their game up after a couple bad experiences. Either way I'd wholly recommend giving them another go. I ordered from them a few days ago after I'd gotten an email about a $10 off coupon (Whoo!) I thought it would be a good chance to try out Mac'N'Cheese since it wouldn't be too much wasted cash if it was a little odd. Apparently they'd just added a new special Mac pizza with chicken and bacon. When the order came, it was pretty tasty. Not an everyday pizza but a cheesy, carby punch when you're in the mood. We gobbled that bad boy up. Then today I get an email from the manager. While going through orders he said he realized that I had ordered the special mac, but the order had been entered, and made, as just the normal mac. My reaction was, "Oh. Right. I totally forgot it was supposed to have bacon..." But the rest of the email seriously impressed me. He did basically everything you can ask for. 1) Personally apologized. 2) Explained the changes they're making to ensure it wouldn't happen again (Changing the site order system) 3) Made it up to me with A $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE! Much like Kyle K, I can't recall the last time I actually stepped foot into Shuttle, however, they've saved my life on more than one occasion in the 9 years I've lived in MKE. It's true. Also: While it's not world-class cuisine by any means, they get it done and have some serious depth to their menu. You want a burger? Cool. 'za? Of course. A gyro? That too. Fried Chicken? Done. A chocolate malt? Yessir. Combo sampler with cheesy tots and fried mushrooms and ravioli and mozz sticks? 9.99. It doesn't matter how drunk you are, you won't eat it all, I promise. It's for sharing. Pizza Shuttle has a reputation for being a greasy pizza place for drunken college students. They probably use the least expensive ingredients to make their pizza and ample amounts of animal fat to prepare their food. AND IT'S AWESOME. I got a huge slice of pizza on lunch for 99 cents. With all the negative reviews, I'm a little embarrassed/nervous to say that I kind of love Pizza Shuttle. I've never experienced any of the under-cooked/soggy/chewy pizzas that folks have complained about. If I had, clearly my review would be different. I will admit that the price is a large appeal point for us. If you sign up for their email list, you get a weekly email with a pizza special in it - for example, this week's is a large 3 topping for 9.99. You can't pass that up. The two of us are always full and we always have leftovers - an important part of the pizza ordering experience. We haven't really tried anything else from Pizza Shuttle - I stick with what I figure they know and have been doing for many years. I love the large list of toppings and that I can get garlic and basil for free - I've never experienced them forgetting to put these things on as other mentioned. My biggest complaint is that the folks doing the order-taking/check out are also the people who dole out the food as it comes out of the kitchen. Since I live so close, I always do carry out and I've waited up to 10 minutes for them to call my name while I sit there watching my order sit on the counter. Its really frustrating. I've contemplated nabbing it and running, but I assume the skinny hipsters behind the counters could easily catch me.
