We loved this place! On our way back to the twin cities from Milwaukee this was a great stop. Our server was great and was quick to refill coffee and anything else we needed. The ambiance was very cozy, warm, and friendly. The food was great and I hope to stop again once we make it out for another Bucks game!

Stopped in to the lumber Inn in Delafield Wisconsin this morning while running errands. As usual was seated promptly and the service was quick and efficient. I decided to change up my typical morning fare for their short ribs hash special. I'm glad I did. It was absolutely delicious. Perfectly poached eggs over incredibly tender short ribs. Crispy kale and sweet potato's rounded out the hash covered by their great Hollandaise sauce. Lumber and is still one of my favorite breakfast spots in Lake country Wisconsin.

It was a lovely diner with awesome service. Not a foodie kinda place though. Just an ordinary diner with ordinary food. I had the lumber inn skillet with the potatoes on the side and eggs over easy on top. The sirloin steak wasn't properly cleaned or cut. Some pieces were too big and some too little. It was like I got all the odds and ends of leftover meat. A lot of the pieces also had big chunks of fat or long pieces of ligament that I couldn't chew through. It was one of their pricier dishes so I expected better. Eggs were cooked perfectly. My older friend had the Patty Melt. She said you can't go wrong with this. And liked it. Also a random "surcharge fee" at the end of the meal (just a dollar and four cents) but I have no idea what that's for. Surcharges should be disclosed.

My FAVORITE breakfast spot! The service, food, and atmosphere simply never disappoint! It gets busy, so go early to avoid a wait however, I have never waited more then 10 minutes for a table. The inside of the restaurant is riddled with antiques and historic items about the restaurant and downtown Delafield. It is a warm inviting atmosphere and the server's are always in a great mood. I have never had an empty coffee mug or water glass. They also have a handful of tables outside, but they get snatched up pretty quickly - if you want outdoor I would say a 7:00am arrival is best for no wait. The food though...so, so good. I ordered the seafood benedict and that hollandaise sauce tops all others I have ever tried. If you love eggs benedict Lumber Inn will ruin you ability to eat it anywhere else! My son ordered the sunrise wrap and it was also very good. He had to take half home it was stuffed so full. When they ask fruit or potatoes, do yourself a favor and be unhealthy. The potatoes are perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch and soft potato.

Yum! Such a fun find to hop in for a quick breakfast. This place was hopping on a Saturday morning but we were sat really quickly and the service was excellent. The food was really good. Enjoyed it!

Lumber Inn is the GOAT of all breakfast spots. They are consistently excellent every time you go. Service is fast so if you have to wait to get a table, you won't be waiting for long. Everyone working there is so nice and friendly. They have your typical breakfast foods, and also serve lunch options. For all the times I've been, I've never gotten their lunch options but I bet they are fantastic as well. Can't recommend lumber inn enough!!

The food was amazing and the service was friendly and fast. We aren't from the area but have plans to come back when we pass through town again. Highly recommended!

Good morning! Today my Wife and I tried the Lumber Inn for breakfast for the first time. First I have to say the food was phenomenal and the amount of food that I had was well worth it. The inside had plenty of room to sit and enjoy yourself. Our Server Jakob was phenomenal and I have to say his knowledge of the food was amazing too! Jakob was very patient and helpful when it came to the menu. Two thumbs up for Jakob! I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends and family! I will also be sharing my experience with other people's.

Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Inside the decor was festive with a number of Frida pictures and great wallpaper in the restroom. We ordered guacamole and tacos. The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I was excited to try here but there were a few misses during our visit so we'll head to other local restaurants when we're in the area for a more satisfying meal next time.

Busy restaurant, great things are in store. We were greeted by friendly bartenders but after dropping off water, took them a long time to come back around to take our order. When they did came back, it was to ask us to accommodate another couple at the bar by sliding over, rather than take our order. Eventually we ordered, guac of course and a few tacos each. The guac came out super quick, which was a good thing because the tacos took forever, like 30 minutes or more. Which for tacos, should never take that long. We also had to ask for napkins and utensils at this time. The food showed up, quesa-birria and the brisket. The brisket taco was excellent. If I come back, I'll order those. The birria was soggy and lacked the crispiness expected from something called birria. Even tho there was consomme called out in the description, non was provided. What made it worse is when the food was delivered to a couple near by, they were offered salsa and all the things. Felt like we missed out on things. It should have been better. Not sure I'll give it another try.

Completely redone by the experienced folks with the Bartolotta Group, the space is a knock-out! My spouse and I arrived early and grabbed some drinks at the expansive bar overlooking the lake. The staff was warm and engaging, and I'm difficult, asking tons of questions and making irreverent comments. They rolled along, laughing and adding to our good time. I'm always wary in Lake Country, because my politics and affect differ from the majority, but the Commodore makes no distinctions. When our friends arrived, we grabbed a table and had a fantastic meal. Our Wiener Schnitzel was great, and our friends raved about the Beef Wellington. Service at the table was professional and well-trained. Maybe because I travel and have lived in several metropolitan areas, I found the prices more than reasonable for the gestalt experience. In fact, I think the Commodore is one of the best restaurants in the Milwaukee Metro. Bravo!

We took our time and enjoyed each course, and also the ability to have easy conversations in a nicely quiet room. The Old Fashioned drinks were done well, and the entire evening was very nice. The fish buffet was held upstairs with a beautiful view of Nagawicka Lake. The tables are spaced apart nicely and the service was attentive. Large variety of food. Table service was fast and consistent and all of the servers had a positive attitude. Reasonable price per person and all-you-can-eat. Only complaint is that there is no changing table in the small 2-stall restroom. It seems like a small thing but it makes for needing to either lay our small child on a floor mat or going out to the car. Street parking only, but definitely manageble. There was also a poor smell outside where we sat at the patio (from the nearby wastewater plant). We were very surprised how long it's been open. I decided to get a flight. In the past, I've noticed when ordering a flight usually there's a dollar or two price difference (discount) when you order a flight, but at voodoo they charge you per beer on your flight. So there's no savings compared to other breweries that I've been to. We ordered three additional different beers at the table and all of them were amazing. We ordered two different cocktails at the table, and both of them were extremely strong and hard to drink. However, the presentation was great. As for the food between the four of us, we shared the pub pretzel, chicken, schnitzel, the meatball sub special, and the truffle quesadilla. All of us enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back. Two suggestions would be: 1. We sat at a four top table. When ordering the pub pretzel the pizza pan that they used to put the pretzel on took a lot of the table up. Very limited space. I would suggest getting a half sized plate and possibly hang the pretzel? Other breweries do this. If not the same thing with pizza, you can have a stand for it. You lose so much table space that we really had nowhere to put anything. 2. As far as the paper towels on the table. Those as well take up a lot of space. It's one thing when it's a larger table, but as for a four top, I would definitely try to think of a different option. We found ourselves constantly trying to re-organize and move water glasses, etc.
