Jalapeño Cilantro Coleslaw

We love Picnic Basket! Whenever we're in Lake Country we make a stop. The service is excellent, and the sandwiches, sides and Scotcheroos are fantastic. The portion sizes are generous, and the ingredients are high quality. We most recently dined in - we had a quiet table in the corner and great service. In the past we've eaten outside on the little deck, and taken sandwiches to go. Our favorites are the turkey sub, the bada bing, and the blue moon. The jalapeño slaw is a must have, and we always finish with a scotcheroo (and one to take home!).

Razorback Honey Dijon Pepper BBQ Sandwhich & Cucumber Salad as a Side.

Had the Razorback Pulled Pork from Picnic Basket - Nashotah The bread, as ussual for them, was soft and chewey like it should be. I got without Tomatoe or Lettuce cuz not a big fan of them on Sandwhiches. The pulled pork is moist & yet the Honey Dijon Pepper sauce I think kind of masks the smoked flavor of the pulled pork with it's peppery spice. Which, in the end isn't a bad thing as I did get hints of the smoked pork flavor as the heat subsided. Paired it with their cucumber salad that adds a sweet yet vinegar like taste to add with the spice. Washed down with Sprecher Creme Soda. Based on the little mental A - F scale I use, the sandwhich gets an A. The restaurant has maintained from my time eating there a fairly solid B rating due to their use of Styrofoam. It's just a odd quirk for me to take off points now for Styrofoam products with so many health & eco friendly options out there for clamshell and all other packaging systems. would recommend. Go try it for a more spicy version of pulled pork.

Great first experience at Picnic Basket. I built my own veggie sub sandwich. The staff were so nice and helpful. We got a side with our sub and couldn't decide what to get so they offered to give us sample sizes of each to try so when we come back we know what we would like. I love restaurants like this that just want you to enjoy your order and have a great experience. We did carry out and only waited about 5-10 minutes. The sandwich was so good! It was big and filled with fresh veggies and very fresh bread. I didn't love any of the sides but I preferred the cucumber salad and chips. We also had to get the huge rice crispy which was a great decision. It was clearly homemade with a gooey crispy consistency. The space has great indoor seating and it looks like maybe outdoor seating in the summer. Super easy to pull up and park right out front, they even have pick up parking spots. We will be back!

It's been awhile since I've had the Picnic Basket and figured it was time to check them out again. Ordered online and curbside pickup was super easy. You text them when you get there with your name and car info and my order was out super fast (about a minute later). I got the Nashotah Sunset sandwich and a side of the Cucumber Salad. The cucumber salad is one of my favorites! Remember to add on dessert too, their Scotcharoo bars and cookies are fantastic!

Rotisserie Turkey Sub

Picnic Basket is a family favorite! The subs are not only delicious but humongous! Today my fiancé got a rotisserie turkey sub that came out warm. I got the seasonal soup - cheesy bacon potato which was quite good. I have also tried a pizza from here that was very tasty as well! Will be back as always.

Great sandwich, good size, a bit pricey but worth a stop. They gave us the new customer special on the sides, fun idea!

Very good food, good service, but over priced for a sandwich shop. Otherwise, I would rate this a 10 star if I could.

He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and great with his attention to us. Great recommendations for drinks and wine. He paced our meal very well. The Shrimp appetizer "Special" was very good along with their house made Sauce and the French Onion soup was great, with plenty of onions and a wonderful broth. For our meals I had the "Overnight" Prime rib and it was delicious as was my wife's Salmon. The kitchen was great in their presentation and flavors. They even "split" my Cesar salad w/o being asked to, as we had told Austin we were probably going to share it.. To top off our meal we had their Schaum torte and it was the best we ever had. The meringue was perfectly done and not too hard, just practically melt in your mouth... The whole staff paid attention to the tables and dirty dishes did not stay on the table very long. Cute place and good menu with plenty of options…read more We stopped in Delafield for Father's day and it was great weather to sit out at their patio. We all ordered a mix of things but started with apps. The cheese curds were amazing. Didn't care much for the onion strings. It was a surprisingly cold day so opted for some French onion to start out. They use rye bread inside which wasn't my favorite. Probably won't order again. However, the chicken tenders and fries were great. Heard the salmon BLT was very good too. The shepherds pie had a lot of potatoes so not as much filling. The beers were cold though! Similar to Leffs, they don't have beer prices on their menu. Kind of hate that. Otherwise, the service was great, the restaurant ambiance and patio were great and most of the food was good.

I can only speak for the Mother's Day brunch; we went with 6 adults and a child, and for such a large buffet it flowed seamlessly and the food was constantly being replaced to keep it fresh. Large variety of food. Table service was fast and consistent and all of the servers had a positive attitude. Reasonable price per person and all-you-can-eat. Only complaint is that there is no changing table in the small 2-stall restroom. It seems like a small thing but it makes for needing to either lay our small child on a floor mat or going out to the car. Street parking only, but definitely manageble. My parents and their friends really enjoy coming here. Really looking forward to stopping by for lunch or dinner with a drink at the bar next time we're seeing them!

I ordered the Wisconsin Skewer combo which included skewers of veggies (pepper, zucchini, onion) and meats of shrimp, steak, and chicken. Our table started with the dry rubbed wings (6 wings) which had a nice smoked flavor. Wish they would have come out a little hotter as well. Service was a bit mixed. Started off great then sort of disappeared at times. Overall it was a good experience. Loved the patio seating!

We had an excellent server, but even though there seemed to be no staffing shortage among servers, we wondered if perhaps there was in the kitchen, as it took longer than we'd expected to get our meals. I had the Sloppy Joe sandwich ($14), and thought that the portion of meat was skimpy, and was surprised no side of any kind came with it; I do like zucchini fries, so ordered a side for $5, and received only 8 pieces. The food was ok, but I thought overpriced for the portion size. My friend got a burger made to order with her favorite toppings, and ordered a side of crispy tots. Her half pound burger was huge, and she got a mountain of tots! She took half of hers home; I ate mine but left half the bun as I don't care for brioche buns, but I was actually still rather hungry. We both agreed she got the far better deal! While the view and patio seating were enjoyable, not sure I'd go back again.

We were thrilled with the familiarity but also with the newness of the menu. As it was far too hot to eat al fresco, we were given a table on the first floor near the window. We had 5:00 reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Mason, was fun and efficient, but he also had to cover the bar so he was running. A few more staff would have been helpful as the tables filled up, and by 6:15, people were waiting outside to get a table. The age group of diners is varied, and everyone seemed to be very satisfied. We ordered the Bruschetta and the Salmon with Lemon Risotto, both of them prepared very well. The food tasted very fresh, and the presentation was lovely. I also ordered the Bolognese because I love a good dish of it. This one did not disappoint. However, the meat pieces were small pea-sized bits of beef, which tasted good, but looked a bit odd. I would like to know why, but I was too busy enjoying the dish. It is my birthday and so I was offered either a free cocktail or a dessert. I love a good treat so the flourless cake was my choice. It was a very nice birthday present. I really look forward to our next visit. The menu has lots of options I want to try.
