Jalapeño Cilantro Coleslaw

We love Picnic Basket! Whenever we're in Lake Country we make a stop. The service is excellent, and the sandwiches, sides and Scotcheroos are fantastic. The portion sizes are generous, and the ingredients are high quality. We most recently dined in - we had a quiet table in the corner and great service. In the past we've eaten outside on the little deck, and taken sandwiches to go. Our favorites are the turkey sub, the bada bing, and the blue moon. The jalapeño slaw is a must have, and we always finish with a scotcheroo (and one to take home!).

Razorback Honey Dijon Pepper BBQ Sandwhich & Cucumber Salad as a Side.

Had the Razorback Pulled Pork from Picnic Basket - Nashotah The bread, as ussual for them, was soft and chewey like it should be. I got without Tomatoe or Lettuce cuz not a big fan of them on Sandwhiches. The pulled pork is moist & yet the Honey Dijon Pepper sauce I think kind of masks the smoked flavor of the pulled pork with it's peppery spice. Which, in the end isn't a bad thing as I did get hints of the smoked pork flavor as the heat subsided. Paired it with their cucumber salad that adds a sweet yet vinegar like taste to add with the spice. Washed down with Sprecher Creme Soda. Based on the little mental A - F scale I use, the sandwhich gets an A. The restaurant has maintained from my time eating there a fairly solid B rating due to their use of Styrofoam. It's just a odd quirk for me to take off points now for Styrofoam products with so many health & eco friendly options out there for clamshell and all other packaging systems. would recommend. Go try it for a more spicy version of pulled pork.

Great first experience at Picnic Basket. I built my own veggie sub sandwich. The staff were so nice and helpful. We got a side with our sub and couldn't decide what to get so they offered to give us sample sizes of each to try so when we come back we know what we would like. I love restaurants like this that just want you to enjoy your order and have a great experience. We did carry out and only waited about 5-10 minutes. The sandwich was so good! It was big and filled with fresh veggies and very fresh bread. I didn't love any of the sides but I preferred the cucumber salad and chips. We also had to get the huge rice crispy which was a great decision. It was clearly homemade with a gooey crispy consistency. The space has great indoor seating and it looks like maybe outdoor seating in the summer. Super easy to pull up and park right out front, they even have pick up parking spots. We will be back!

It's been awhile since I've had the Picnic Basket and figured it was time to check them out again. Ordered online and curbside pickup was super easy. You text them when you get there with your name and car info and my order was out super fast (about a minute later). I got the Nashotah Sunset sandwich and a side of the Cucumber Salad. The cucumber salad is one of my favorites! Remember to add on dessert too, their Scotcharoo bars and cookies are fantastic!

Rotisserie Turkey Sub

Picnic Basket is a family favorite! The subs are not only delicious but humongous! Today my fiancé got a rotisserie turkey sub that came out warm. I got the seasonal soup - cheesy bacon potato which was quite good. I have also tried a pizza from here that was very tasty as well! Will be back as always.

Very good food, good service, but over priced for a sandwich shop. Otherwise, I would rate this a 10 star if I could.

We started with the Arugula Radicchio Salad (perfectly dressed!) and a cup of Potato Leek Soup, then shared the Duck Leg Confit (it was the best duck we've had in awhile, and braised cabbage! those duck fat roast potatoes!) and the Beef Filet with potato gratin (yum!!), watercress and red wine jus. Every dish had a nice wood-fired flavor. Excellent quality across the board, and the prices felt very reasonable for what you're getting. Our server was excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, friendly without hovering. The support staff kept our waters filled and dishes cleared seamlessly. We appreciated the NA beer, wine, and cocktail options. I had a modified French 75 and loved it - it's nice to have thoughtful non-alcoholic choices. Someday I'd love to grab seats at the counter in front of the kitchen to watch the action. We will be back!

It was my birthday, and our friends wanted to take us to one of their favorite restaurants. This is a place they've been to several times and were excited to show off. They're especially known for their artisan pizzas. Food: Since pizza is their specialty, and two people in our group get very excited about a good slice, they ordered a Cheese, Sausage & Onion pizza and a Margherita pizza. The nightly special was Lamb Chop, which is one of my favorites, so I went with that. The last person ordered the Salmon. Overall, the food was very good. The lamb chop was nicely presented, cooked to the right temperature, and pesto-encrusted, which was a delicious combination. While it was good, it could have been a bit more flavorful. The salmon was enjoyed, though it leaned slightly dry. Both pizzas came out piping hot, generously topped, and very flavorful. There was plenty to share around the table. We had a little room left for dessert and ordered the Chocolate Nemesis. It was a good size and just enough to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. They even added a candle to help celebrate my birthday, which was a nice touch. Service: Our server did a very good job throughout the evening. We were quickly settled in with drinks and menus, and the pacing of the meal was relaxed and well managed. We never felt like we were waiting on service. When they learned it was a birthday celebration, they went out of their way to present the dessert with a lit candle. It's a small gesture, but it really shows attention to detail. Atmosphere: The restaurant felt much larger inside than expected. We were seated in a separate room that we had entirely to ourselves. Each of us had an upholstered chair, which initially felt special, though it took some adjustment not to lean back too comfortably at the table. When we arrived, the room was quite chilly and drafty. We asked if the thermostat could be adjusted, which helped, though it remained a bit drafty. Overall, it was a very good experience and a place we would return to. Next time, I'd probably opt for one of the pizzas and request a table in the main dining room.

We opted for a high-top and were seated right by their fireplace, which made for a perfectly cozy evening. I love that they have complimentary popcorn. So, you can help yourself to a paper boat of popcorn while sipping on a beverage. We got some popcorn and immediately ordered some bourbon old fashioned cocktails. Their old fashioned cocktails are made the Wisconsin way, so we both ordered them press and they were spot on pitch perfect. We enjoyed our cocktails, popcorn, and a couple rounds of cribbage before ordering some dinner. For dinner, I opted for their side salad with bleu cheese to start things off. The salad was crisp and fresh! My dining companion started things of with their sour cream & chive fries, which come served with ranch. The ranch was bottled (so, meh) and their fries were basic (but even basic fries are basically good). From there, we took the guidance of the Yelpers who had gone before us and opted for their bbq chicken pizza. It's your basic Wisconsin style, thin crust, party cut pizza. We enjoyed it well enough and had some to bring home to enjoy later as well. The service was prompt and friendly and their prices are reasonable. Get to it!

We had an excellent server, but even though there seemed to be no staffing shortage among servers, we wondered if perhaps there was in the kitchen, as it took longer than we'd expected to get our meals. I had the Sloppy Joe sandwich ($14), and thought that the portion of meat was skimpy, and was surprised no side of any kind came with it; I do like zucchini fries, so ordered a side for $5, and received only 8 pieces. The food was ok, but I thought overpriced for the portion size. My friend got a burger made to order with her favorite toppings, and ordered a side of crispy tots. Her half pound burger was huge, and she got a mountain of tots! She took half of hers home; I ate mine but left half the bun as I don't care for brioche buns, but I was actually still rather hungry. We both agreed she got the far better deal! While the view and patio seating were enjoyable, not sure I'd go back again.
