I'm not going to lie, I did not expect the food to be soooooo good. Listen they actually have jumbo wings. I feel like when places say jumbo wings they just mean regular wings. This place ACTUALLY has jumbo wings and yes they were delicious. I got the Buffalo and it's not spicy at all. So if you're the type that wants to enjoy Buffalo without the heat, this is it. I would prefer it to be spicier but they were so good. Ranch dressing was good because let's face it not all ranch dressing is good. Now on to the pizza. We loved coming to Ricardo's; a hidden gem in Greendale. The space was beautiful and nicely shaded in the patio area, with a fountain in the center of the patio. We sat outside and the fountain was loud and hard to hear conversation, but relaxing. The mozzarella sticks were so good, with fresh grated Parmesan on top, so cheesy and a delicious ranch dip. The red sangria was very juicy and delicious but the sour cherry mule was so strong and flavors were not dispersed well in the drink. Both pizzas were got were so delicious! The pepperonis were so tasty with hot honey drizzle over the pizza made it! The Genoa pizza was my favorite, I loved the Parmesan chunks, peppers and salami topping. Arrived on a Thursday shortly after they opened. We ordered a sausage pizza. Not sure why I keep eating here expecting their pizza to be super thin and delicious like we remember. We received a much thicker crust with sausage minimal & unevenly distributed. A bit of advice. Go to Sendiks and purchase a frozen "Nancy's" pizza. Prepare it as suggested and enjoy an incredibly cracker thin crust and a great amount of cheese & sausage. Also the young waitress gave us less money back then she should have. Great Italian restaurant with a good mix of options from pizzas to pasta and other entrees. The short rib alfredo was delicious, with creamy sauce and the meat was very tender. I tried the butter pecan old fashioned which was very sweet at times, but spot on for flavor profile. They have a generous dessert for birthdays as well. I do have to dock a point or two for slow service. We asked the host for a high chair and they never came back. We had to wait a few minutes for a server to come and then ask them for one. Ordered pizza for pickup on a saturday night and only had to wait 20 minutes before it was ready. Fast and easy to pick up and the pizza itself was hot and fresh. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was very good. The combination with the balsamic reduction was fantastic. The crust is thin and crisp- almost cracker like. There were a few squares around the edges that didnt have any toppings on them and the crust itself is a bit flavorless without anything on it. We really enjoy the atmosphere at this place, but what our family loves most are the wings and pizza. It's our go-to spot on Tuesdays when they used to have 50-cent wings. Even though the price has gone up, it hasn't stopped us from coming back. The variety of pizzas--with their crispy, thin crusts--is solid, and I don't think I've ever ordered anything here that I didn't like. If you're craving pizza and wings, I'd definitely recommend giving this spot a try! We rarely go home without leftovers. It can get pretty packed during the dinner rush, so we usually come right when they open. This pizza comes out after Hay Days and has the perfect amount of deliciousness. But what does it contain? Why is it a big deal? * applewood smoked bacon * caramelized onions * apples * gouda, mozzarella, cheddar cheese blend * topped with a balsamic reduction They're only doing 13" for 2023, which means they'll get me back here multiple times to have more of this. I normally get a huge 17", but not this year, unfortunately. Regardless, Ricardo's remains a favorite of mine and probably always will be. Service is great and friendly, and they have more than pizza if you're interested. Ricardo's is a bit cozy and gets a nice buzz going with the audience they pull in. Came here with 12 other locals to have dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Ella took drink orders and off she went to accommodate our large group in addition to handy to or three other tables. After serving drinks she gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu and the reported to our tables to the orders and try to put together couples spread across three tables with females on one end and males on the other. It was busy all get out and wait times were a bit long with three couples ordering pizza with others ordering entrees. Pizza took a lot longer and those people waited long after others had almost completed their meals. Patience was there and all of the parties smiles were gleaming after consuming their food. Buzzy local Italian joint in the heart of downtown Greendale. Don't let the Pizza in the name fool you: While Ricardo's serves up some amazing thin crust pies, they have a long menu of incredible dishes (wings, burgers, pasta, etc) and I've yet to find anything that hasn't been superb over the many visits I've made to this longtime Greendale gem. Always, and I mean always start your meal off with the cheese bread. You'll thank me later. They have some of the best wings - jumbo size and lightly breaded and they come with different sauce options. If you are there on Friday you can't go wrong with their fish fry: flavorful and big cod fillets accompanied by some of the best potato pancakes this side of the Mississippi. The pizza speaks for itself: tons of options and an obvious choice when dining here. Highly recommend the Proscuitto and Arugula or the Carnivore. Honestly though you can't go wrong with any of their pies. When the weather cooperates, take advantage of the nice patio out front surrounded by a cute fountain. I always use Yelp when I'm unfamiliar with the area and it never fails!! A wonderful little gem of a restaurant! Traditional Italian ambiance, with outdoor seating by a fountain on a quaint street. They were very busy but staff was attentive and we were seated quickly. We were searching for pizza that our grandson requested while we were up babysitting. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was loaded! We had leftovers to take home to his parents and they even raved over the reheated pizza the next day!! Definitely will be back!! read more

Great fish fry! I've been going to Ricardo's for the last 26 years & always love the hospitality & great food. This review is for the breaded Perch ($18) & the breaded Cod ($15) dinners to go. When I got home I opened up the containers and was happy to see that there is plenty of fish and fries to go with each dinner. I read reviews of other restaurants and complaints to how the fish is usually small like fish sticks. That's not the case with Ricardo's. The fish is very well portioned & worth the money. We came here for a fish fry on a Friday because my grandma loves it here. My mom told me I had to finish work early so we could get there when it opened at 4 lre we would have to wait a long time. I laughed and said are we eating dinner or lunch. She wasn't wrong though...we got seated right away after.waiting outside to get in and by the time we finished there was a 75 minute wait. It would be worth it though. The service was amazing, drinks delicious. I had a fig martini which was a little sweet but a nice change of pace from My usual old fashioned. My perch fish fry was probably one of the best I have had in my entire life. There was a generous 5 pieces, of which I ate all of. We went there on Jan 27th to celebrate a birthday. There were 11 of us in our party, including 3 children and a baby. We arrived at 3:45 pm because we heard a line forms early. They weren't kidding. By the time the doors opened, there were about 30 people waiting to get in. We were seated immediately and within minutes the waitstaff took our orders for beverages, appetizers and 3 large pizzas. The appetizers were wonderfully flavorful, and not long after we finished the appetizers, the pizzas arrived. We had a veggie pizza, a pepperoni, and a taco pizza. All were fabulous. The bill for everything came to only $108, which was much less than what we thought it would be. The waitstaff remained attentive to us during the meal and the time from being seated to actually eating our pizza was 25-30 minutes, which I think was impressive. Ordered one kids pizza cheese, 9" by pizza with sausage, one kid tender , one blacken chicken Alfredo, and paid cash of 44.00 for these meals. Truth is it was the worst meals ever served! The pizza thick and seemed like a Borden premade version of a pizza, same with the cheese and sausage pizza! No option to have a thin crust or a freshly baked pizza it seems! The chicken finger dinner was awful because the fries were soggy and the little tiny serving of apple sauce was a joke! My kids can eat my homemade jars in one sitting. The Alfredo chicken was extremely dry and the pasta was dry and just nasty like it was sitting in the frig for four days then microwaved! They have proven we will never eat that food again. I will buy groceries and make it myself at a friends when traveling to Wisconsin! Very sad a restaurant is that poorly equipped to make easy foods! Waited 25 minutes only to be told after I paid that my order never printed in the back so I had to wait 30more minutes. Asked for Manager who didnt even make eye contact and talked to the employee. Had to stop her and ask her to speak to me. She just shrugged and said "okay" when I expressed frustration at poor service. Didn't even bother to acknowledge the terrible service or offer an apology. Staying at a nearby hotel, we ordered a takeout pizza. Order online? Pay in advance, thereby losing your customer leverage. Informed a 59 minute wait? Nope, wait an additional 15 minutes. Ask for plastic utensils to eat my salad, don't have any utensils nor napkins. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. Spend your tourist dollars somewhere else. read more

We are frequent visitors to this establishment and usually have more than good service when there, but tonight was not an enjoyable evening for us. We had to wait 45 minutes between ordering and receiving our food. We realize that sometimes staffing issues can cause delays, but tonight's delays were over the top. Also, I have meant to comment on another item before but have let it slide. Tonight I won't. The bucatini pasta they have been using in the spaghetti and other dishes is extremely difficult to eat in the normal "Italian" way. One can't spin it onto a fork or even suck it off the fork in the way one could with normal pasta. The marinara sauce does not work well with the thick pasta either. It does not get coated on the inside like an Amatriciana would. Please lose the bucatini. read more
