I've had this pizza before. It was good. Not great, good. Always cooked like I like "well done". This time was terrible. Barely cooked, greasy, and bad. Not trying again.

Klasiana Pizza: Located in Greendale, which is just south of Milwaukee, Klasiana Pizza offers up a variety of pizza and Mediterranean food. Their pizza ranges in size from a small 10 inch all the way to a party sized 18x27". They also offer five different types of pizza crust (thin, original, stuffed cheese crust, Chicago, and pan) and a number of specialty themed pizzas. The restaurant itself is compact, but does have a couple small tables for those choosing to dine in. I really liked the Mediterranean village theme they had going as it made for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Although I already have a go to pizza joint in MKE for my Chicago style pies, I had to give Klasiana's a shot as they offer the option of swapping out traditional pizza sauce with a creamy Alfredo sauce. I've had Alfredo sauce on pizza before and it's a game changer, but I've never had it on a Chicago style pizza. My stuffed pizza was slathered with a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce on top of a thin layer of crust (so for you other pizza aficionados out there, yes I realize it's not technically Chicago style). Below this first layer of crust is a plethora of gooey cheese (along with any other desired toppings) and then the base layer of crust. I'm a huge fan of cheese and usually order extra cheese, but their pizza had a generous portion as is. What stood out the most to me about the crust was that it had a bread-like texture. It was in no way bad, but personally I tend to prefer more of a doughy texture. This was a delicious creation and although I'll likely order it again, I first want to try either their pan style or stuffed cheese crust style pizzas with Alfredo sauce. Doughboy approved *One suggestion I have for Klasiana's is to please include pictures of the different crust styles on their website! As a lover of pizza I'm very familiar with the different types of crust, but I've noticed different pizza parlors do not always consistently use the correct terminology when referring to their creations. For example, the Chicago style pizza here is actually a stuffed pizza (not complaining as I think it's actually superior to a traditional Chicago style), which is confusing since their menu also has a stuffed cheese crust pizza. My favorite stuffed pizza parlors: 1. Pizzeria Scotty 2. Gino's East 3. Klasiana Pizza (Alfredo sauce!) 4.Giordano's Doughboy_Food_Reviews

I'm just another ex-Illinoisan (Chicagoland) who was looking for my go-to pizza joint and found it in Klasiana's. My then 2nd Grader wrote his paper on how much he loves Klasiana's and the cook took a picture with him. We get the two pizzas for $21 deal quite often. Thin crust is our favorite.

two slices of pizza on a black plate - Two slices of pizza with toppings including ham, green peppers, and melted cheese are served on a black plate. The pizza crust appears to be thin, and the slices are placed on a wooden surface. The image captures a close-up view of the pizza slices, highlighting the toppings and melted cheese.

We came in to order take out & the chefs son took our order & hw kept us updated when it would be done. We got the Klasiana pizza & mozzarella sticks and everything was sooo flavorful & good. Definitely would try again!!

I was in this strip mall in the 5 pm hour so I saw this place and I thought that I would check it out and grab some dinner take out. I jumped on Yelp and saw 4 stars so I went in. As you can see by my walk up picture the time stamp is 5:10 pm and I left the parking lot at 5:50 to head home. When I walked in I asked for a minute to look at the menu and at 5:21 the young woman finally came out and only to answer the phone and took my order, 11 minutes after I walked in. At 5:47 my sandwich finally came out WTF, 37 minutes for a fuc#%ig sandwich. Call me unreasonable but 37 minutes for a carry out sandwich is totally going to drag down the stars here, I'm very objective and understanding with my reviews but today I have to honestly take stars away. In all honestly the place smelled amazing and I felt like even with the long wait that I was going to like the food. Ok after all my bitching about the service lets get on with the review. The place is in a strip mall and is very small with four tables, light wood and grape vines over the register. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich which I almost never order but it sounded good, 37 minutes mind you. Visually it looked big and good but I had it on garlic bread which I felt would take it to the next level. This was a tasty sandwich and I can't really say anything bad about it. The bread was very fresh and held up nicely to the chick parm with the red sauce and melty cheese. The sauce was not bad at all and played well with the all white meat breaded chicken breast and real melty mozzarella cheese on the fresh garlic bread. For what a chicken Parmesan sandwich is I found it to be a nice example and enjoyed it, I might go back for a pizza just to check out. Overall my service and wait time for a freaking sandwich sucked but I did enjoy what I ordered and I would order it again, it was a really good sandwich but you just have to call ahead and not walk into expecting fast food, therefor just three stars when they could be more but I'm not going to totally gut stars over it.

Aside from the appetizer selection, I didn't particularly enjoy the meal. My family loves pasta, but the dishes we ordered were mediocre and felt like something I could easily make at home. I was also confused by the "specialty" pasta section on the menu, as most of the dishes didn't include protein. Only one pasta listed it clearly, and we had to ask our waiter for clarification on the others, which was a bit frustrating. That said, the wait staff was kind and friendly, and helpful. The pasta was edible, just not memorable, and the overall selection didn't impress us. I may not return, but it's worth noting that the restaurant was very busy while we were there, so it's clearly a favorite for many just not the right fit for me.

We had a few bottle of wine as part of the rewards program so that was pretty neat. The back room we were in was a little cramped but we appreciated getting our breadsticks and salad pretty quick. By the time our entrees were delivered, we were almost too full to have any. You won't leave here hungry! Great stop yet again and we will definitely keep this one in the rotation.

Plenty of tables when we got there, and were seated right away. It's a converted home (remodeled long ago), and there are multiple rooms for dining, which give it a more relaxed feel. The design/decor does look a bit dated. Our server got right to us. Got menu and ordered a couple of Sangrias. The Sangrias were red, refreshing, and a good amount. Given the lateness of the evening, we didn't get any appetizers, but I would have liked to try the Calamari (next time). We ended up with a small "special" pizza and the Lobster Ravioli. There were several choice for sauce of the ravioli and I chose butter garlic. While waiting for our entrees, we were served a basket of garlic bread. The bread was fresh, warm, and plenty of butter and garlic. A nice treat. The ravioli also came with a small house salad. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It didn't take too long for the entrees (we were the only customers), and they were hot, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Both were good, but if I had to be honest, not great. The pizza crust was thicker than we like. And the ravioli pasta was very good, but the filling was more like a paste with small pieces of lobster. Definitely could have benefitted by having more lobster. The service was very good, up to the point that we got our meals. After that, we never saw our waitress, until we were finished with our meal, and even then we had to ask someone to find them. Maybe they were busy cleaning up? Not sure. Overall, okay, but with some attention to some finer details could be so much better. Didn't end up on our "gotta get back to that place" list :(

I thought it looked charming, a hold-over from an era not that far in the past, but generally gone. I looked forward to dining there, but it took a recent invitation from new friends to get me through the door. The only reservation we could get was for 4:30. Hmmmmm...OK, I figured we'd be the sole patrons at that time of day, but I was wrong. And that tells you one thing you need to know: Tenuta's is popular, and rightly so. Despite being generally more adventurous in my choices, I ordered the pesto. I judge every Italian place by its bruschetta (on the menu but not ordered) and its pesto, and Tenuta's passed my personal test with flying colors. The most pleasing things about the dish were the very generous amounts of tasty sauce on the pasta, chicken, and zucchini. The least pleasing was the pale orange of the very underripe cherry tomatoes included. Companions had the nightly special (gnocci with bacon and a gorgonzola sauce) and the Calabrese, a tantalizingly spicy dish. Everything was perfect. Desserts ordered were the tiramisu (a large portion) and butterscotch boudino, a dreamy cup of butterscotch pudding, homemade butterscotch sauce, whipped cream, and a bit of sea salt. Service was quick, professional, and friendly. The restaurant is small, but cozy and welcoming.

Most people people not from Chicago have this misconception that it's a thick crust and they are turned off and say it's pan pizza that has too much crust and I'm tired of correcting them. Yes it's cooked in a pan with a thin crust and high walls like a pie cooked upside down with the cheese and toppings on the bottom and topped with a thin crust or not but the pizza sauce/tomato purée on top. I ordered takeout with a friendly young woman and the restaurant was very nice as I walked around and probably the nicest in the area. My pizza was ready in about 30 minutes and it smelled amazing. I ordered a 12 in stuffed Chicago style pizza with sausage which could feed 4 regular people because it's packed with cheese and toppings/sauce like a pie vs a flat pizza. Halfway into two slices I was full with the meat sweats. The cheese pull was absolutely perfect just out of the oven. The sauce was tasty with a garlic flavor and not sweet which I prefer as an Italian American. The sausage was top quality with some zing. Overall as a chicogan who likes thin over stuffed pizza it was fuc%ing delicious. This is a really tasty pizza with quality ingredients so they hit this pizza out of the park today.
