Penn and his team, not only arrived on time, but were early, organized, and efficient. They were pleasant and followed directions. I had so much stuff to pack and move. I definitely recommend Penn and his team to handle from the least difficult to the most complex. Thank you, Penn and team! read more

I've been a returning customer. Julia is super responsive and it's very easy to coordinate and schedule appointment through texts with her. In my most recent moving, there are a couple of requirements that need some extra paperwork and contracts. Julia helped coordinate and made it happen within a tight timeline. Although in my most recent move, the movers are a bit late due to previous shift delaying but movers have been generally on time and carefully wraps my furnitures in my past two moves. In general, it has been reliable service with good value for me read more

I was fortunate to have Noah's move me yesterday. Great experience. The guys, apologies on not remembering their names, super polite and professional. Arrived spot on time. I have a lot of artwork, so super reluctant on having 'movers' transfer, these guys were very careful with all. The furniture that was broken down & rebuilt was great. Took care with everything. Plus into a second floor with front entry stairs with 3 @ 90 degree turns. Back door stairs more direct, but tight access. I was impressed! Great price at the completion too. read more

I've contacted Julia @ Noah's Moving several times and haven't received a confirmation if her company would take my move. I've texted her several times and sent a few message via Yelp and no response. It's really too bad; my mom really liked Noah Moving when they helped her move from her condo to her home in Vallejo. read more

We worked with Noah Moving Company to move from our apartment in San Francisco to a new single family home in Oakland. We had a few very large/heavy items and multiple flights of stairs, making it a challenging job. The movers did an excellent job from start to finish, including bed disassembly and assembly, and took care to protect all of our fragile items throughout the process. We had a great experience overall and wouldn't hesitate to work with Noah Moving Company again! read more

We texted them on a Saturday for availability to move the next day. Julia was very responsive and answered all of my questions. I like that she told me all the relevant fees up front and I didn't feel like there was anything hidden. The confirmation text also indicated the rate and what is expected. The two movers showed up right on time and called me to check exactly where my apartment was. We had packed most of our belongings into boxes beforehand and they still got to work right away wrapping them to further protect them. They were strong and we had to use them for more than the minimum 3 hours, but they really were working nonstop! We had more crap than we thought we did! At our destination, they rolled out a red carpet/mat to protect our stairs, and another mat to protect our doorway. They were careful, courteous, and hard-working young men and I would definitely recommend them. read more

First time using this company. Very disappointed. The movers are careless and caused some damage to my walls and furnitures (see pics). They tried to recover and whitewash the wall and it looks even worse after their unprofessional techniques. We didn't ask for discount on the price because moving is not an easy work. Won't use this company anymore and will recommend not to use to all my friends. read more

I've used Noah Movers twice now. Julia was responsive and easy to communicate with. She scheduled my moving date quickly. During both moves, I mostly communicated with Penn. He and team were very nice and accommodating to my requests and handled my belongings with care. For the 2nd move, they impressively moved everything up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. They are well priced. Assembly and disassembly is included. I would hire them again. read more

I was so happy with them until they asked me for a tip. Also Julia said they were a different moving company called Monsters Movers. Just as the other reviewers noted they asked for a $50 dollar tip each! I gave them 30 and they kept saying no. I'm all about rewards but that was crazy. They did do a good job but it was difficult to talk to them as they didn't speak English. I don't mind that but I wish someone called me ahead of time to translate what I was looking to do. I would recommend a different company. read more

They post fake reviews!! Look at the profiles of the reviewers.. They asked me to take down my review in exchange for reduced price!! BEWARE!!!! From the beginning, they arrived with 3 people, although I asked for 2. I promptly texted the phone number I was communicating with, because the workers and I did not understand each other due to language barriers. Because they tried to use 3 people without telling me, I immediately became weary. My friend and I watched them, as they would give us weird looks and laughed, as we thought it may possible be due to our genders.. The move took 3.5 hours, and my friend caught them walking slowly to the trash can, and slowly unpacking one box all together while I watched the truck downstairs. At the end, they tried to charge me for 4 hours, even though it was only 3.5. They then tried to haggle us for 30% tip then 25%, which I had to decline, as they were not friendly, moved slow, and used my bathroom and did not wipe the seat! Although I appreciated all the plastic wrapping they did, i later found they were wrapping things unnecessarily. My friend also speaks mandarin, and understood everything they were saying. They were shocked when she responded to them asking for a high tip. Overall I did not have a good experience at all, and will not be using them again. Because they took a while, they were about the same price as other more expensive companies. I wanted to give a family company a shot, but they did not treat us well and I will not be recommending them. I hope they learned a valuable lesson not to assume we don't understand what they're saying!! read more

I rarely leave reviews, esp bad ones but have to share my experience. First, I'm only giving the company one star because of Julia's understanding and the movers' average packing abilities. I would've given them NONE for the horrific behavior by the movers. I was extremely disappointed by their deliberate slow speed (apparent they were milking the time for more $$), moving only one item at a time (not optimizing space, speed, or manpower), and giving us excuses for their inability to carry, load, and move fast (eg elevator closes too fast to put more items). Not only that, they were late by an hr to the appointment and rattled us by giving us dismissive and boorish attitude after we suggested an efficient workaround to their slow ways. In fact, my fiancé and I stepped in to show them that they were being noticeably inefficient by moving the items (that we paid them to do) OURSELVES. In fact, I was running circles around them... carrying big ticket items by myself while they were moving them together. Sorry, but what the literal f-bomb... I'm a women who wears a small just for some comparison!! When it came time to pay them, I talked to Julia to notify her that they did not deserve the full hours they supposedly worked bc they were milking it, late, and unreasonably mean. She understood and when I told them that I negotiated with their boss for a discount, they went ape-like crazy yelling and seemingly wanting to get physical. I had to stop my fiancé from yelling back bc they were in our faces. Unbelievable!! I then tried to close the door on them and realized they TIED the front door open. That's harassment and I let them know. I even said if they don't get off the property, I would call the COPS!! They finally left, but man was it crazy. These movers are crazy. They're crooks. They play dirty. Proceed with all of the caution in the world. read more

Almost done with our move and I could not wait to give these movers the review they deserve: 1. Arrived on time (early) 2. They handled every item with such care 3. They were so fast loading 4. Everything was placed in the truck carefully 5. Even faster unloading This is my 8th move in 5 years! Everything about our move this time was less stressful, luckily, and it's clear Noah's professionalism and moving skills played a big role in that! Noah's offered great pricing, communication, and service! Looking forward to working with them again for our next move (1yr from now actually). Thank you! read more

I had to look for movers within a week and noah movers were quick to respond. Their rates were much better than the majority of the movers I requested a quote from and their response time was great. Pros: 1. They were very quick to respond 2. Easy communication via texts 3. The movers arrived exactly the time they said they will 4. They were very meticulous in packing furniture and made sure to wrap up everything so that they don't get scratched. 5. They got a huge moving truck and all the essentials required. Somethings I felt they could improve on: 1. I was moving my 1bhk only a short distance (around 1.5 miles away) but the entire move took about 4.5 hours. At times I felt that they were slow and I had to help out a little. Overall, I'd still recommend them as they did do a great job.Julia is a good customer service. read more

Noah movers were great! Julia quickly scheduled my appointment, I had two stops before my final destination and they did a great job keeping everything in order. Also love that they disassemble and reassemble furniture included in the price! Thanks Noah Moving!! read more

They'll move your stuff fine. However, they will ask for more tips ( bc they were not satisfied with what I gave them) and not leave until you give it to them. It really puts you in an awkward position. Also, they wrote on the paper I agreed to tip 30% but I never did. The girl on the phone did not mention anything about too. And although I am Chinese, it was still hard to communicate with the movers. Luckily I had just enough cash and wasn't a Venmo user to not get ripped off. My suggestion is to stay away. They are dishonest and not worth your time. read more

I called the company and booked an appointment for 2 pm for 2 movers. The movers arrived late at 4pm. I showed the movers what was going to be moved and where it would be moved to. I also informed them prior multiple times to bring 2 hand trucks and a dolly. They informed me that they were going to call their boss to get a hand truck. Shortly after that I received a call that said that it was too late for them to do the job and they said they were not aware of the amount of floors (3 floors) on each location and refused to do the job that day. They wanted to reschedule for monday at a higher price with more movers. I provided all of the details about the stairs from our initial and follow up conversations regarding the amount of stairs. read more

I hired Noah Moving to move stuff out of my studio to a storage unit, and the price that Julia quoted me is extremely reasonable compared to most other movers in the Bay Area. They are also responsive and easy to reach (reply to texts / phone calls lightning fast), and the movers are reliable. The movers were able to pack everything up so quickly and got everything sorted out well under three hours. Even my roommate was so impressed by how fast and efficient the movers are. I'm very happy with their service and will be hiring them again when I move back to SF. read more

Updating this review. Appreciate Julia (the manager) responsiveness and willingness to help. -- The two men did a great and efficient job, all for a good price. I had a glass desk that remained unscathed; they put my bed back together quickly and got the truck up to sf quite fast from Palo Al. If I have to move again, I would use them, and I recommend them to others who are looking to move and on a budget. They are professional, respectful, and fast. Thank you! read more

I have used Noah Moving company a couple of times. They are very professional and I am extremely happy with their service. They always arrive on time; move and pack the stuff very carefully. I am also impressed that they are very efficient and don't waste time. I offered the movers to take a break, but they always say No! It was really nice experience and definitely will use them again! read more

I picked them because I saw that the insurance was complete. Because the new home is in a condominium, the HOA has strict reimbursement requirements. 2 very professional masters helped me move all my things to my new home within 2 hours. I highly recommend this moving company. read more

I used this company for my recent move, last weekend. I really liked the fact that even though I called in last minute to reserve the movers, they had availability and the responses were really prompt and the price/hour was reasonable. However, my movers that came to help out were only 2 people and they were really skinny. I was worried if they will be able to move all my furniture. I scheduled my move from my storage unit to my 1 bedroom, the 2 guys were really really slow and I ended up helping out with moving the stuff. It took them a total of 5hours to move all my furniture. Both my storage and my apt was in San Jose and the distance between the two was 15mins but they took 40mins to arrive once the furniture was loaded. I have a feeling that they intentionally extended it to 5hrs. I have done the move before and usually it takes no more than 3hours for all my stuff to be moved. Also they didn't get any power tools to assemble the bed frame etc which I thought was not good. My bed creaks now it never moved or creaked before. I'm pretty scared it might fall apart. I was really disappointed with the service and wouldn't recommend using these movers. read more

I've used this company twice. I believe my first experience was significantly better than my second. I would give the former 5 stars and latter 3 stars so I averaged my review to 4. My first experience around 3 years ago was "above and beyond" for the price tag. I got two stellar movers, both were easy to communicate with and they were thorough and careful. One of them even cleaned some of my kitchen stuff before packing them!! They even did some junking service at a modest price. The second experience was like the B or C team showed up. They did well but were sloppier: there was communication issues, boxes were not packed/moved elegantly and they even shirked a bit of work that the A team did. Still the job got done and the price was lower than their competition. So my verdict is if you need something fast and cheap, this is your crew. If you're seeking quality that's affordable and also quick.....let me know who you find XD read more

I was able to call and schedule a move quickly, and everything was confirmed ahead of time. This was by far the cheapest moving company. Movers arrived on time and worked diligently through the day. My only small complaint was that they accidentally dropped a box of my things down the stairs, but they were nice about it and nothing broke. read more

5 stars! 2 guys moved our 2 BR house, with disassembly and reassembly of furniture, across 40 miles in 5 hours. Not a single scratch on anything. Very professional and friendly. The price quoted was the lowest across 10+ quotes from across Bay area. With tip, we paid less than the base price quoted by several well-reviewed movers! Save your time comparing quotes and just go with these guys. read more

Edit Edit: They've now changed their new yelp page name from Monster Movers to Bay Area Noah Moving Edit: A new yelp page has mysteriously popped up for Monster Movers the day after my poor review. The page was immediately fluffed up with many very fake looking 5 star reviews. The first review being from someone who also posted on this yelp page after me suspiciously bringing the rating back up to 4 stars after my review dropped it below. One review has even been taken verbatim from this page from a different fake reviewer. This page is full of fake glowing reviews from fresh accounts. Really ridiculous. read more

Bottom line: don't use this company unless you're desperate for support and only have a few big items to move the movers did their job, but will not wrap furniture unless you ask for it (even though you pay for the supplies). They texted us when they were supposed to be pulling up saying that they'll be 2 hours late, their "manager" Julia was not helpful at all and didn't understand why this was frustrating. I'd recommend walking with them while they move as this is definitely not a hands-off experience for the customer. read more

I hired Noah Moving a while ago and it was a horrible experience, and today seeing so many reviews that resonate with my experience, I thought I had to share mine. Their management and movers are just unprofessional. We were moving a 2b2b and it took us the whole day - like 10 hours. These movers have another moving job scheduled for the afternoon after us but had to cancel - imagine their poor customer waiting to move but the movers couldn't show up. The movers complained that I should've hired 3 movers for my job - but I called their coordinator and they suggested that 2 movers should be enough. Yes, it was a move between apartment buildings in the city, which requires quite some walking. But the coordinator never asked for that detail. So poor management. They could've also sent in another mover mid-way to remedy the situation but they didn't. It was an exhausting experience. At the end, they asked for tips before they want to leave. They also gave me some papers to sign before they left, I asked them what I was signing, they didn't answer my question but just rushed me to sign. I thought it was just a receipt and was too exhausted to read it through, so I signed it. Later I found out it was a liability agreement which put a dollar limit per pound for any damages. It was an unprofessional experience overall. read more

I was really impressed by my experience working with Noah Moving! I had many questions along the way and Julia at Noah Moving always answered the phone quickly and courteously. The movers texted me on the day-of in order to provide me with an accurate arrival time, which they arrived at to the minute. The two movers were extremely polite and professional, and I was shocked at how quickly they carted out all of our furniture and boxes. Everything was safely wrapped and carefully placed. What I thought would be a three hour job was done in two hours flat! Thanks again for the great experience! read more

Very easy to schedule and the communication was great! It helps if you speak Mandarin to communicate with the movers and the coordinator the day of, but I don't think it's necessary. Overall, the movers worked really hard to do a big move for 3 BR 2 BA apartment on the 3rd floor to a 3BR 3BA house with 3 floors. They were careful with packing up items, nothing got damaged in the process, and they wore masks the whole time while moving. I would use them again for my next move. read more

Adding to the other reviewers' 1-star reviews. We had 3 older guys showed up 30 mins late (not a big deal). It took them a total of 10 HOURS to move a 3 bed 2 bath in Petaluma to a 2 bed 2 bath in Alameda. The main 'leader' of the 3 complained that the Alameda apartment had 'too many stairs' or was 'too far from the van' ....what mover complains about stairs or distance?? Towards the end of their 10 dragging hours I noticed they were working slower and slower.... it almost seemed like they were milking it, so my buddy and I stepped in to help out with some of the lighter stuff. They also asked for me to BUY and PAY for their lunch.... that wasn't part of the agreement at all! They also had the audacity to COMPLAIN about their tip at the end of the job, saying "15% not enough". They don't seem to understand the concept of tips- its not a thing you bargain with the customer. Their overall rudeness and sluggish performance, topped by an outrageous final price ruined what could have been a smooth move and positive review. The only positive thing I can think of is that they were gentle with the packing, and didn't break anything, but these are all basic things we should all expect from any mover. I'm never hiring this company again. read more
