We provided pictures of our home and items and he provided an estimate right away. He provided a flexible window of days and hours for our move about 40 miles away. On moving day, His team was ON TIME and very professional. They carefully took care of large furniture and helped us pack loose odds and ends that we didn't have time to pack. We finished packing up the truck just before lunch. When we arrived at our new place they made sure to return items to generally the same area. The large items and furniture they disassembled they reassembled and to original condition. I was very impressed that they ACTUALLY LISTENED to our needs and adjusted accordingly even when we kept changing our minds. My wife & I needed to move from San Leandro to Fremont on fairly short notice, so we looked for a moving company who could do both packing & moving. The name - "Virtuous" - caught my attention first (and they would certainly live up to it). Their website was clean and clear. No confusion about pricing. Their customer service - from soliciting a quote and scheduling with Anne, to moving day and post-move negotiations with Enrico - was very friendly, speedy, and accommodating. Anne was so prompt with emails and even text responses; it put my wife & I at ease leading up to the move. Enrico (both owner + lead mover) was great to work with. If either of us had clarifying questions about what needed to happen, he had his team jumped to action. We negotiated a major change in the process, but it seemed like it would help their team and I had no objections. The original plan & quote was to pack everything on Day 1 and move everything on Day 2. Enrico asked if I would be open to a partial pack & move on each day, which seemed reasonable to me. During the move-in process, three personal items got damaged (baby monitor camera clip, lamp shade, and crib) and the door jam of our new apartment was gouged pretty noticeably (they tried to fit a large round couch through a doorway, but alas, it wouldn't fit). I communicated this to Enrico, and even though we paid for the bare minimum insurance coverage, he agreed to pay us a gracious amount to make up for the damage. I was extremly satisfied by this arrangement. After we made payment, I noticed a discrepancy in the calculations and brought it to Enrico's attention. He re-crunched the numbers, agreed with my assessment, and made it right by refunding me the difference. Enrico, Anne, and the whole crew truly live up to their name: Virtuous! I had a strange moving need. A giant portable basketball hoop (Spalding "The Beast") with a 60" glass backboard that I needed to be moved from my deck up two terraced retaining walls. A job that required 4 people but a relatively quick job. I first called Jay's Small Moves and they said they don't handle this kind of thing but referred me to Virtuous. They happened to be in the area and offered to do the move the same day! We discussed price over the phone which was super reasonable (less than it would have cost me to book a Lugg for 4 people) and they were so friendly and nice and helpful that I decided to tip them a big tip because I was so happy with their service. I hired Virtuous Moving to help with a move from the East Bay to Napa. Before the move, Anne was very patient and helpful with all of my questions and schedule changes. During the move, Paul and his colleague showed up a few minutes early. I had already packed all of my boxes, but they wrapped all the furniture in plastic wrap so it would be safe and also had blankets for the nicer things. They had everything loaded into the truck in under an hour and were able to unload it just as fast, keeping it under the three hour minimum. I did not have any surprise charges and they even offered to put my bed frame back together and move around boxes as needed (for no additional charge). Excellent company for small moves. I hired them to clear out everything so we could get our floors refinished. They wrapped up the furniture in plastic and carried all my boxes of stuff down to our garage. 10 days later and they returned to move everything back upstairs. Overall, the young crew were very personable and careful. Thank you Enrico, Fred, Daniel and Santiago! When bidding out the job, they estimate the number of guys required and then charge a 3 hour minimum. In both moves, the crew was done in considerably less than 3 hours, so if I hired them again I would probably be firmer in how many people were really needed Otherwise, I was very happy with their service. read more

My husband and I hired Virtuous Moving for a long distance move from the East Bay to Southern CA. Paul, one of the owners, was the fist to respond and we did a video call to provide an accurate quote. The whole team was very supportive before and during the move. They arrived at 8:00am sharp to load the truck, they carefully protected all my vintage furniture, TVs, washer/dryer and fridge. They loaded the truck in record time, didn't smudge or scratched any of my stuff or walls, NOTHING BROKE! and we packed a ton of glassware. I hired Virtuous after a recommendation from my good friend. I needed to do a long distance move from NorCal to SoCal and wanted full packing services. Virtuous quoted me a really good price compared to other services (plus unmounting wall art/TVs are included in the packing price, no other service did that). They were responsive through email and gave me reassurance regarding protecting my valuable and fragile items. I really liked that they're a family owned and operated business as well - felt way more trustworthy to me personally. On the day of the move, they arrived on time and packed everything suuuper quickly and carefully. The boxes were all labelled and they were good to go within 3 hours. We used them to move a few months ago. I would highly recommend and use them again for a move. Their prices are competitive and they included all you need in the move so there aren't extra charges i.e. bed covering, Saran wrapping furniture, etc. I like that they suggested I use a piano loving company for my piano. Most people use a moving company for that but don't purchase the higher insurance to cover damages associated to cover if any issues happen. Anyways, priced out the extra insurance and it was cheaper in the end for me to just use a professional piano mover to move my piano that had enough insurance coverage. read more
