I called to get a quote and told them exactly what needed to be moved. I explained the apartment was large with lots of furniture. I told them some of it was coming with me and some needed to be put out on the sidewalk for a large items pickup by waste management. He told me he and one other mover would be able handle the job in 3 hours. I understood it is a quote and some things may take longer but or less time so I was prepared to pay extra and took out another $100 on top of the quote for this reason. They arrived an hour and a half late and said it was because their truck broke down so they had to get a uhaul. Once they arrived I showed them what needed to go in the truck and what needed to go on the sidewalk and then I let them get to work. They moved sooooo slow!!!! I was convinced they took a long time to get extra money to pay for their truck rental. Eventually I had to tell them to stop because I couldn't afford any more time. They didn't even finish the job that I had thoroughly explained prior to hiring them. I told them how big the space was and how much furniture there was. I eventually had to start packing my own car to speed up the process and the other guy kept asking me if I wanted help. I had to be stern and say no I need you to finish. They were so extremely unprofessional they didn't even bring tape. At one point one of the guys asked me where the tape was like. What???? They were grabbing one thing at a time and ended up taking over 6 hours. Mind you I was moving a two bed room to a one bedroom. When they finally finished we argued about the price and he tried to say "you have a lot of stuff" & "you made us put stuff on the sidewalk" . Is that not what I hired you for ????? My experience with this company was terrible, just awful, completely unprofessional. Not reliable at all. 1. They showed up 50 minutes late. 2. They took 11 hours and 30 mins to move my one bedroom apartment, small dining room and living room, one small kitchen and small bathroom that's all. They showed up with a small truck. (Keep in mind that they didn't pack my stuff just wrapped one sectional couch and 1 tv. We didn't have a refrigerator, microwave, washer and dryer to move because it belonged to the previous building) basically tons of boxes and a few items I mentioned above. We end up hiring three guys to make it easier and quicker but that was not the experience at all. Totally the opposite. The owner blame us because to much stuff and instead of just talking to us from the beginning he decided to wait until the end and showed us a price list that we've never seen before or have informed about it. 3. The guy (owner) showed up with two very young guys with very little or none experience. 4. He tried to charged us for an old piece of box to cover my tv as profesional a tv cover. Same thing with an old plastic to cover my mattress etc. 5. The owner treated me with charging me for the time of chatting with him about his itemized billed because we had questions for the list that we have never seen. 6. His estimate was for $750. He tried to charged us $1725 but We end up paying $1483. Because I refused to pay the old box and random stuff that didn't make sense. He offered a Discount because he wanted cash. 7. I bought them lunch but he wanted to charge me for the time that they were eating and taking a break. 8. He was getting a little agitated and I end up paying more than what we agreed because I didn't want any problems. I felt a little intimidated. 9. Don't work with this company, not trustworthy, not transparent with itemized charges and he wants you to pay for his mileage and gas because he is located out of SF (which we were not aware of) and to top it off, the owner lost the key of my new place. These guys were fantastic. Jairon and his team showed up right on time at our Haight Ashbury apartment. We had two UPACK cubes delivered just in case and wanted to try and get everything to fit in one cube. Jairon was receptive to listening to me and my wife's plan and was willing to pack and unpack items until we found the right solution to get everything in one cube. They were mindful of our things, took time to evaluate everything in the apartment and put together a solid plan. That meant a lot to us and saved us literally thousands of dollars in transport and storage of 1 cube instead of 2. They wore masks and were very diligent with keeping them on. A lot of workers will slide the mask down to expose their noses but these guys were fit and in shape and had no problem moving quickly through the house without having to adjust their masks. We were very grateful and would recommend these guys to move anyone. They also knocked it out in half the time we expected. But they were the cheapest estimate I got when I originally was planning he move a few weeks ahead and able to bump up the move date within short notice. I was not expecting much, since you tend to get what you pay for. I was happily surprised with how prepared they were and careful they were with my items. This is my first time hiring professional movers, so I was surprised with the amount of wrapping and taping they did. I had most items already packed in boxes, but they really helped protect the odd items I couldn't put in boxes, which was a relief. When we got to my new place, they let me coordinate where I wanted all items. They even helped put my bed together, which would have been hard by myself once they left. We moved over Memorial Day weekend, and there was no extra "holiday charge" or anything like that. J called the week prior to confirm our move, which made me already feel like we were in good hands. The day of the move, they were ready to go early, and really hustled to make the move go as fast as possible. They provided extra padding, boxes and wraps as needed, and somehow managed to make a move which included 4 flights of stairs on both ends fly by (these guys are magic!) Our move was also a 2-hour drive away, and the fee was super reasonable, much better than other quotes I received. At the end, J showed me exactly how the total cost was added up, and even provided a 5% discount for paying cash!
