Poor communication. Provided a quote but on the moving day claimed it was misquoted and significantly increased the price after he did 2 walk throughs at my house and I provided him an itemized spreadsheet. Criticized my packing even after having several discussions about how I had planned to pack. Left items behind, requiring a return trip, but they did not fit in our car so we had to leave them behind and pay a junk service to remove them. It was certainly quite a miracle when we met Art. My husband and I had been on vacation in Joshua Tree and received a call from our daughter stating that all the items in the freezer were thawed. UGGGG....need a new expensive refrigerator, or an old used one, as we did not have the finances due to COVID! We searched all the reviews on appliance shops and found 3 really great reviews in the East Bay....We headed over and were so disappointed in the first 2 places, however, the blessing was that we met Art. He was delivering an old refrigerator to this business in his very beautiful, professional rig. He informed us that he was on his way to pick up a high quality used refrigerator that he could sell us for $400. He was to text us some photos. We exchanged numbers and were on our way to the last place....Action Home Appliances in San Leandro. https://www.actionhomeappliance.com/san-leandro We were able to purchase a $2,600 Samsung 4 French Door Refrigerator for $800!!! A very large 28 Cubic Size! They sell brand new boxed items that have a few scratches or dents on them for a very discounted price. We also purchased a brand new full mattress for $250. It was a fabulous experience, but they did not deliver to Sausalito. I called Art and he picked up the phone!!!! Yeah!!!!! I asked him if he could possibly pick up our purchases, deliver to Sausalito and remove our old refrigerator. He let me know this would cost $130 x 2 for 2 men and also $50 for the cost for removing the old refrigerator. I was elated as my husband and I were trying to rent a u-haul and do it ourselves. I did not want to do that. Art was a godsend! I texted him our address and a copy of the proof of purchase, to give him permission to pick up our order. We made plans for him to do this in 2 days. I had a brief bout of trepidation as he could just take our purchases and we would never see him again. I read all his reviews and it made me trust him, as he seemed quite professional. On the day of delivery he contacted us to make sure he was picking up exactly what we bought. He gave us an exact ETA and arrived right on time with our beautiful new refrigerator and mattress. Art and his very tall, strong moving partner . . . VEA . We had tarps laid down so the old refrigerator wouldn't ruin our new rugs and the men could come in and remove this 22 year old refrigerator. Vea got in behind the fridge and drained the water and unhooked everything. Then the old fridge was taken out and they moved that relic out in a breeze. Then it was time to bring in our huge refrigerator that we measured would have only 1/8" to fit through the door. Those strong men handled that big heavy fridge with ease. Got to the front door and oh no!!!!! It would not go through the door as the front of the fridge is curved and we had measured from the straight part. Art and Vea were so patient as we removed the front door and the screen door. They barely squeezed it through with door without even scraping the shiny front doors. Then another roadblock. The handles in the hallway were far too much. Art and Vea went to work with the electric screwdriver to remove the handles and I removed all the hanging paintings. To my amazement it was rolled right in! They hooked up the water line and slid my beautiful shiny, black chrome refrigerator (that I call Darth Vader) into his new home in our kitchen, with not a glitch. They then replaced all the handles on the doors and took time to make sure the water was working. Their patient, professionalism and humor was so refreshing and I will be contacting Art in the future and I highly recommend him. Take a look at Darth Vader in my kitchen. He is just so beautiful!
