This is my favorite tapioca shops if I cannot go to Chinatown. I've been coming to this location for about 5 years or so and my tapioca has always been really good. I watched them make my mango with tapioca and they used actual mangoes, not the artificial crap many popular shops use nowadays. I've never actually waited a long time to go tapioca, probably because it's better to go at noon as it's not busy. The tapioca was also not hard - rather it was chewy and soft which I liked. I really wanted to like this place because I feel small boba shops like these get overlooked by the better known competitors like Teahouse. My group came in and ordered three different drinks to try it out (milk tea, Jasmine milk tea, and the Thai green milk tea). Two of the drinks were fine but the Jasmine milk tea tasted horrible with an even nastier aftertaste. After the first sip, we asked the cashier if we could swap it out for a different flavor because of how bad it tasted. She said no and started to give us attitude. Lady no one was trying to pull a fast one. It's not as if we drank all of it then started complaining. The cup was still full. We just wanted a decent drink that didn't taste like toilet water. I ordered their black coffee with no sugar. It was strong and was kind of acidic. I was not blown away. It made me kind of grouchy. On the following day I ordered milk tea with no sugar. It was very thick and had an average strength. It needed sugar. I then ordered green milk tea. It was more watery and less thick. I did not add sugar. It had a slight coconut taste which I thought was odd. I did not eat or drank anything for two hours. I was driving my car when suddenly I started to salivate and felt like throwing up. I pulled over and got out to vomit twice. All that tea came out. It smelled and tasted bad. I felt so much better after vomitting. I think milk teas were spoiled or had ingredients that made me sick. This has never happened to me before. I had breakfast at 10 and nothing else including water until I drank their two teas around 6pm. I did not feel sick before drinking the teas and had an empty stomach. I don't know if combining the two teas had made me ill. I will go to their store and address my concerns. The milk tea was premade, whereas the green milk was given some kind milk or creamer. Food poisoning isn't fun. read more

I get my tapioca here often. I know this place has been open for about 12 years at least. So it is one the original spots in West Houston. I also learn many Vietnamese phrases coming here which is a experience. I usually get drinks (đ ung) with no milk (không sa) Cm n. I haven't been to Njoi's in a while, but the one thing I would always get is their Vietnamese coffee (I totally recommend!). They also serve the usual milk teas and smoothies. I have tried their milk teas before, but it's nothing special. But they have this really unique topping that I haven't seen in any other tapioca stores around Chinatown, taro pudding. Tbh, the most underrated tapioca shop in the Bellaire area! Hands-down, they make the freshest fruit smoothies utilizing real fruit unlike some other boba joints that I've seen use solely powder & their prices are reasonable. My go to drinks here are the avocado smoothie, taro smoothie, Thai tea, milk tea and vanilla frappe. Honestly cannot go wrong getting any of the above. Of all the tapioca places I've tried in Houston, this is one of the few places that serve fresh and soft tapioca. Their milk tea has an excellent tea/sweet flavor compared to other places I've tried (where it tastes like cereal milk). Overall, their menu is not extremely different from other establishments. Looooveee loooveee the green milk tea with egg pudding and tapioca! 1) The egg pudding is to die for, best i ever had (seriously). 2)After having the green milk tea here, I find other tapioca places either too bland or too milky. They fill the tea all the way to the top of the cup leaving just a bit of space for milk, so it's like 98% tea and 2% milk just how I like it!
