I was scheduled to move on February 26, 2025. I spoke with their representative Jeanne at 201-381-5961. She sent me an estimate of $456 (4hrs) not including taxes and fees. If I exceeding that time it would be an additional $85 per hour. I informed her that it was mostly boxes, bins, and everything was packed and bubble wrapped already. When the workers arrived, we did a complete walk through of the house. The guy in charge immediately start saying this job is way bigger than the job he just done. He went on to express, he had another job to do after he finished with me. After he took inventory of every room, we then signed the contract to move forward. PSA..The crew pulled up in a truck that had another company's name on it. Nothing in line with NJ Wide Movers LLC. The door of the truck displays, All Pro Moving, the side of the truck displays , Carton and Son Inc.. This makes it hard to tell who they really are but investigators will figure that out. Anywho, the guy in charge took about four weed & cigarette breaks. Three hours later we arrive to the storage unit, he then quotes me $780 balance. He went on to say, he will not unload the truck until I make the payment. All of the guys began to sit down. I showed him the price and time that I was quoted, I also remind him that we are only three hours in as of now, and we still have more stuff at the house. He then told me that he was not going back to the house to get the remainder of my belongings. I told him that is unfair, being that he did a complete walk through of my house taking inventory and if he couldn't transport everything, he should not have taken the job. Non the less I ended up calling Jeanne to aware her of the happenings. I asked her why is he quoting me this high amount? She told me that it's an estimate of the time it will take to empty the truck. She had nothing to say or any accommodations about her worker leaving behind my refrigerator and rest of my belongings at the house. Of course she is on his side. I ended up paying $600 minus the wrapping, tape, and made up miles that he couldn't produce. I continually asked the workers not to not to use wrapping or tape. Of course they wait until they get outside by their truck to do so, which I have on video. U-Haul office closes at 7pm, customer access ends at 10pm, and our finish unload time also ends at 10pm. At 8pm I notice the guys start moving really fast, loading 5 dollies at a time before going upstairs. They were throwing things in the storage unit any kind of way. Once the truck was empty, I go up stairs behind them to see the unit. To my surprise there were ten dollies in the hallway with no space left in the two units. The guy in charge asked me, what are you going to do? I asked him to charge me for the additional time it will take, to bring the stuff back to the house, being that the office is closed and I can't get another unit. He agreed and said that would be an additional $170. The three workers and the guy in charge, all took a dolly each and headed towards the elevator. I grabbed two dollies following behind. I waited upstairs for them to empty the elevator. By the time I got downstairs, the four dollies were blocking me to get off the elevator. I pushed them to the side, as I finally exited and proceeded towards the truck. Before I could get close enough, I heard screeching tires and witnessed the driver pulling away. I was in total disbelief that he pulled off and left me. U-HAUL is closed, no staff on site and there was no one to assist me. PLEASE AVOID THEM BY ALL COST. Worst experience ever, very unprofessional. They need to be out of business. What if someone did this to his mother, sister, or wife. Complete Jerk. I was initially quoted for a straightforward move, which included packing services. However, the final invoice was nearly double the original quote. While their website clearly states "no hidden fees", my experience was the opposite. Hidden charges were added at every stage, and the final bill bore no resemblance to the agreed-upon quote. In addition, they refused to begin the Unloading without receiving full payment upfront, which was never part of the agreement. This kind of pressure tactic was both unprofessional and unethical. To make matters worse, the movers did not complete the job properly. After taking full payment, they left several items behind and others damaged. I submitted a damage claim nearly two years ago, including: A notarized letter describing the damages and item weights Photographic evidence of the damaged items All supporting documentation, sent via certified mail. A follow-up request offering to provide everything via email as well Despite repeated phone calls, emails, and follow-ups--especially with Jeanne, who initially acknowledged my claim--I have received no response whatsoever. This company has shown a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability. I strongly advise others to be cautious and to get every detail in writing, including any potential hidden fees, payment requirements, and dispute resolution procedures. read more

if I could give less, I would. They quote you one price and then they triple it once they've done the work and THEN tell you that 20% gratuity is required because, as told by Cesar, the manager that day, the owners can't be bothered to pay them a livable wage. They wrap EVERYTHING, even already closed boxes and containers in tape so they can charge more. They also take items not in a box and, rather than speak with me about it, shove items in a $30 box and almost or do break items. Once they got to my new house, they basically tossed items wherever they felt like it, left items on the lawn, and put boxes wherever they wanted to, even when instructed as to where they go. The foreman who moved our items into our new house, Ricky, actually said to me "Oh Cesar got fired because he was a bum who couldn't do the job". what? this is how professional they are. they tried to charge me a fee for going up one flight of stairs with some items. after all was said and done, I called Stacey and explained what happened. she said she would ger back to me and has ghosted me ever since. please please please do not use the company because they should go out of business for how they operate. truly disgusted with this company and it's employees. read more

I would give NJ Wide a zero if I could! I used NJ Wide twice and it was like using two different companies. The first time the experience was good. The packers did a good job packing and the on-site manager Cesar was personable and professional. But, the estimate went way over by $500. I was satisfied with the job so I decided to use them once again. This time the packers did NOT do a good job packing and the one-site manager was NOT personable and was rude and very unprofessional. He overcharged me by one hour. And once again, the estimate went way over by $500. Which I believe was on purpose! BEWARE!! They will quote you a price, come to your home, put all your stuff in their truck, and then tell you that they have to pay $1000+ more. They won't even give you your stuff back unless you give them extra money. HUGE SCAM! This is a fly by night company and you do not want these folks in your home. Beware of fake reviews, they are not a legitimate company. They refused to wear masks despite advance assurances. Extensive damages to both my in-laws home that we moved out of and damage to our home that was a brand new renovation. No remorse, apology, or any offer for remediation. Just a "see you in court" response. Clearly this is a typical outcome for them. They have a D+ from BBB for a reason. read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. We reached out to NJ Wide Moving 5 weeks in advance of our move. We had received another moving quote for $445 from a different moving company. NJ Wide Moving quoted us $770. I sent the sales rep, Jeanne, my other quote for $445 and she said in order to match the other quote, she would lower our minimum hours from 4 to 3 and cut our packing materials from $360 to $175 to match the other quote. The day of the move, everything was going smoothly until we were handed the bill to pay. Please keep in mind we received a quote for $485 from NJ Wide Moving 5 weeks ago. The bill given to us during the move was for $800. The packing materials were not lowered to $175 and remained at $360. When I called to discuss this she said there is nothing she can do and our price is what it is. She said her manager would reach out, but now they are ignoring us and will not return emails or calls. Basically, we were lied to in order for NJ Wide to win our business. The other moving company was a GUARENTEED price of $445. We went with NJ Wide Moving because they were a recommended vendor for our new apartment. We will be letting our apartment know that they should be removed from this list for terrible customer service and basically scamming us. read more

I was looking for estimates and had found many that were very affordable. However I had had to push my move from Friday to Monday due to an injury but the movers I had picked first weren't available so I called NJ Wide Moving since they had called me multiple times and sent a couple of emails about their price and rate per hour. They gave an estimate of $510 and ended up charging me $706. They strong arm themselves by making you sign a bunch of papers that the estimate is going to change. The woman on the phone said they were going to charge 200 for materials (1 bedroom apt) and I got a friend who lent me around 20 blankets. They used the blankets and then used theirs and then charged me $260. I had specifically said that I wouldn't for it for $600 as I had other quotes they brought it down and then ended up charging me 706 and suggesting paying $835 with gratuity! The whole packing stuff from my apartment took 1 hour. 45 min trip and 1 hour to download everything. Do not trust this company. If only they were honest they would get customers that would be willing to pay and not cohersing others into paying what they can't afford. read more

We had a scheduled move on a Saturday with my floors being refinished Monday morning. They never called us to tell us they weren't showing up. They made an excuse that their truck broke down and provided no solution. They didn't need a truck they were moving furniture from a third-floor to a basement. I called these movers and explicitly explained that I only needed a few things moved, as I was moving from one apartment to another within the same apartment building. I made it clear that I was not looking to spend a lot of money and would look elsewhere if the cost was going to be too high. I was told and sent multiple moving estimates that the price would be $320. Furthermore, I was told that the price would likely be about $80 less than that ($240) as it didn't sound like they would need to use packing materials. The movers were originally supposed to arrive at 8am. I asked if they could be pushed to 8:30am, as I wouldn't have access to the new apartment until then. The movers showed up about an hour late and then told me the cost of the move would be $674- more than double what I was told the maximum price would be. I said I wouldn't pay it and called the moving company. They lowered the cost to $514. I asked them to honor the price they gave me and not only did they refuse but they said that they would charge my credit card $300 for their time if I chose not to use them. Because I needed to move that day and didn't want the aggravation of fighting the $300 charge, I decided to just use them. Then I was forced to sign a bunch of documents stating that the estimate is subject to change. Something they did not say to me beforehand. I was forced to sign false statements under duress. So they quoted me one price, completely disregarded that and then strong armed me into using their services anyway at a steeply inflated price. The entire move took about an hour, which is why I made it clear in the first place that I was looking for movers that could do a small job at a low cost. I was lied to, and then forced to use them. No apologies, no remorse. These people are thieves and should not be allowed to be in business. I am only giving one star, because 0 stars is not an option. read more
