Lovely to have this new addition to Mass Ave and even better to see it bustling during my recent visit. Welcome to downtown, Niyyah! I thoroughly enjoyed my lavender iced late and setting up to work for a bit in the inviting space. The coffee shop offers a variety of seating, small private space, clean bathrooms, a cozy fireplace and pretty decor. The staff were friendly and quick to turn around orders. They also have a few tables outside along Mass Ave and the Cultural Trail. Looking forward to future visits and trying more items on the menu.

I absolutely adore this location. I was already a huge fan of Niyyah, but I love it even more after my visit. They are the only deaf-owned coffee shop in Indy. I've always loved this little corner of Mass Ave (previously Peace Water Winery) for its great natural lighting and super cute private areas - perfect for co-working, events, or meetings. If you visited when it was Peace Water, the layout is the same, but Niyyah has transformed the space into a quiet, peaceful coffee shop that encourages you to slow down, or at least that's how I felt when I walked in. Considering most of their employees are deaf, you can order by pointing to the menu or using ASL. The staff member who helped me was so kind, writing any questions on a marker board. They currently have a summer menu with lots of creative drinks (I think I saw a strawberry shortcake option!). I honestly couldn't decide, so I ordered a matcha latte with lavender with a blueberry scone, and they were both amazing. I can't wait to come back!

Such a cute new coffee shop right on Mass Ave! Walking in you see the bright colors illuminating the space. It is quiet, calm, and cozy. There's lots of different seating options including couches, tables, and high tops. I got the shaken banana bread latte and it was delicious. It wasn't sweet and you could taste the espresso flavor which I loved. The barista was very nice! It is a deaf-owned coffee shop. I had a question about one of their seasonal drinks and the barista was able to communicate with me via pointing to their menu and a writing board. Service was fast as well! I didn't have any food, but they did have a variety of pastries and empanadas that looked yummy. I will definitely be back.

This is a new coffee shop on Mass Ave. I ordered a creme brûlée latte and a cheese danish. The latte was so delicious. The barista actually sprinkled it with sugar and torch it juts like creme brûlée. The danish was amazing. The barista heated it up, and that elevated it to the next level. The menu is expansive for coffee, so it was hard to decide. There is less on the menu for baked goods, but they've got everything they need. It's very clean and open inside. There's lots of bright natural light from the windows. There is a good amount of people chatting and a lot of people studying or working. This is a great new coffee shop. Check it out if you are on Mass Ave. I will be adding this to my coffee shop rotation.

This is a cute little coffee shop. My matcha was delicious. The space was nice, bright and open. There were a good amount of seating areas. They have some pastries and breakfast items. Service was friendly.

They had a pop up tent on the circle and it was extremely hot out so I decided to try one of their iced drinks. The staff was kind and pleasant. While there is a slight barrier with communicating, it's still a simple process to choose and order your drink(as long as you're not one of "those" types).. I chose the Masala Chai because I didn't want caffeine and I enjoy trying new things. He waited to see if I liked it with my first sip and I did and I made it a point to circle back after I was able to drink a bit more and let him know how good it was. Very good drink and service and will be trying them out again.

Was told about this place... local people, local environment, and local flavors... I am a huge believer in the support of local communities and the Deaf community. For first timer... place is a wide opening, friendly visually, and warmth cozy with the seats... including outside, easy view of the city center. I got myself a multiple items: crème brûlée latte (in the house), monkey matcha (couldn't resist this!, want come back for this one). For the foods... ohhh my! A chicken pot pie, beef enchilada calzone, and chocolate croissant. So good!

    Strawberry shortcake matcha

I had the strawberry shortcake matcha and it was AMAZING. I'm trying to learn ASL, and the baristas were so patient and kind as I struggled. Very chill atmosphere and plenty of seating. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything was fresh and flavorful and the crunchy shell gives it a really satisfying texture. It's not crumbly and won't fall apart after one bite. I also added a peachberry lemonade which was the perfect mix of sweetness and tart, very strong peach flavor I'm glad it wasn't subtle. They also sell croffles which I would've loved to try ( I made the mistake of planning on ordering it to go AFTER I ate but the line was long again ) but I will definitely be coming back soon and I'll be trying one lol!

There is space to work and many people were on laptops, but I grabbed my drink to go. You'll have to go up a set of stairs to get to the coffee shop, so be mindful of that. It's also kind of warm - they had a bunch of loud fans going. I don't know if that's just because it's summertime and the building is old and harder to cool or if they had water damage from all the rain and are drying out. It didn't bother me but noting that in case it does bother others.

Dear reader,…read more Bovaconti Coffee in Fountain Square remains one of my favourite coffee shops, and we stop there whenever we come to town. It is the sort of place that feels special the moment you walk in. A lot of people rave about the beautiful space, and quite right too. The shop has a gorgeous, old-world feel in a historic Fountain Square building, plenty of seating, and a lovely outdoor area that is very dog friendly. The staff always boast a delightful disposition that makes you want to smile and enjoy the rest of your day as well. As for the coffee, I love the iced Mayan Mocha. It is like a mocha with a kick and extra flavour depth, and it is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne give it a little warmth and complexity without losing the joy of a proper iced coffee treat. They also have some really high-end pastries to choose from. I love the lemon loaf, and some of the more complex, unique pastries make it feel a bit more elevated than the average coffee stop. Overall, it is clean, beautiful, welcoming, and always worth the return visit.
