Came here with my boyfriend for a hot drink since it was very cold outside. I got a hot matcha latte and he got the tochucha americano. I love tea, especially matcha and I usually don't mind the earthiness of matcha but somehow the matcha here was too earthy and grassy for me. The tochucha americano was supposed to be tea and coffee together but the coffee flavor was so overwhelming that we could only taste the coffee. Overall, not a big fan of this place. It seems like their desserts are pretty good according to other reviews but we were too full from our brunch to try any of them. I love love love green tea, and this place definitely does green tea right! In fact, I love this place so much I buy their matcha powder to go so I can make my green tea in the morning. They have a wide selection of various types (you can get ice cream / regular tea, latte) and they also serve it with espresso, lemonade, etc. There is something for everyone! It is located on colorful Bedford Street, so feel free to grab this drink to go and go for a wonderful walk along the thrift shops or take it down to Domino Park for a nice stroll. Great matcha latte, one of the best matchas I've had. The wait wasn't too long and you can order through the kiosk or the register. I also got a matcha yuzu lemonade. I ordered less ice but I don't think they really care about that cause I saw them put the same amount of ice in both drinks. The matcha flavor in the yuzu lemonade was not that strong, probably overpowered by the lemonade- so I would probably stick to getting a matcha latte next time I come. I ordered an iced matcha latte with whole milk, and I could barely taste the matcha. The milk itself was also not as creamy as I usually expect with whole milk, though I did appreciate that the matcha was whisked to order and there was no additional sweetness added to the drink. I was introduced to this place as part of a Yelp elite event and wanted to come back and try more items. Inside is really small and there isn't much seating room, but there is an outdoor seating area (they also don't have a restroom). The girl working didn't seem to be in the best of mood and wasn't too helpful when I'd ask questions. I ended up trying the matcha tiramisu, which was sooo yummy! I wish the slices were bigger! I also tried the octopus balls, which I hated and DO NOT recommend. The texture was extremely chewy/mushy with maybe 3 little firm pieces of octopus inside each ball. Then they were drenched in a couple different sauces and mayos. To me, it was weird and I couldn't get past the first few bites. I ended up tossing it, so that was an unfortunate waste. But I don't think you can go wrong with any of their other menu items from the lattes and lemonades, to the ice cream flavors and cheesecake. read more

I love Nippon Cha. My favorite location is the one in Queens. So I was excited when I heard about the Williamsburg location. The location is kind of small. I could fit like 3/4 small table (2 ppl in each table). So not good for big groups. Unfortunately it doesn't have the same menu as the queens location (in terms of food and desserts. If your expecting to sit down and have ramen, they don't have that. They do have a small fridge section with onigiri and takoyaki. They do have amazing drinks. I got a hot matcha latte with soy milk and it was perfect consistency. My friend went there for a yelp event and she tried the Hojicha ice cream.
