Sooooo friggin good. I'm not a heavy consumer of matcha and didn't have much expectations, but this was really good. The ambiance is really nice and they prepare the matcha right in front of you so it's pretty cool to see. Overall, very nice and 100% recommend. read more

This was a few blocks down from our hotel, and so glad it was because I had the most divine bite of the Matcha Tiramisu Cake. Whatever you do, must get the cake. The creamiest, matacha-y bite. Their tea was also amazing. Highly highly recommend! read more

Wow the matcha quality here is just top notch! Never had such a good rich matcha like this before. Honestly the best matcha I ever tried. The location itself is very small so definitely take your things to go. But they have a good am variety of things to choose from even matcha tiramisu which I'm curious to try. The matcha strawberry itself was very yummy. Super rich and that perfect dark green color you like to see in matcha. The strawberry puree was also very nice perfect balance not sweet at all or at least not to me which I enjoyed. read more

I got only their famous yazu tasting tea many many months ago so I forget additional details of this tea other than it's strong taste was so unique and the passion with which the owner (he had the aire of the owner despite being both barista and cashier, and turned out indeed to be he) spoke of how he came to choose the goods and their sourcing made a deep impression on me. Expensive but so very worthwhile cause of supremely quality Japanese teas and citrus drinks to support. read more

We stopped by here for some drinks on a Saturday. I got the Matcha Latte Float which actually comes with ice cream! It was yummy but the taste came through a lot more after the ice cream was melted. I like the concept but feel that it could actually be executed a little better. Overall - the shop is cute and I'll have to come back to try the tiramisu! read more

I had the matcha tiramisu sheet cake for my birthday a few months ago and loved it so much I got it for my mom's birthday this past weekend. The staff here was nice, one of them, was very generous and offered me a horjicha tiramisu slice to sample and informed me they could do custom flavors as well. The cake was a hit with my whole family. Space wise, the place is small, there's two small tables that maybe seats 4-5 so it's not a place to congregate. They offer snacks, loose tea and made to order to drinks. While I was here, I also got their matcha latte which was good. I'll be coming back to try the other flavors and menu items. read more

Best matcha latte!! I got the iced matcha latte with oat milk. I could actually taste the matcha flavor unlike a lot of the matcha lattes I've had. The staff was really helpful in explaining what the different teas were and even gave me a sample. There is only one table indoors, but they have an outdoor seating area. read more

A cute little spot for matcha tucked into the heart of Williamsburg -- it's conveniently located right off the Bedford Ave stop! It's a small shop with a few seats and a nice outdoor patio. I'm pretty obsessed with their Iced Hojicha -- such a unique, toasted flavor. This is one of my go-to's when I'm in the area! read more

Consistently delish matcha latte place! I have been here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. They make a very authentic matcha latte and don't charge extra for substitute milk. I must have gone on an off day but the drinks were okay. I tried the usucha, matcha latte, and matcha yuzu lemonade. The color of our drinks looked promising, but I couldn't taste the matcha in any of our drinks. Either their matcha is not fragrant or it was watered down that day. I also tried the matcha tiramisu which also lacked any matcha flavor, just tasted sweet. read more

Disappointed by their customer service. Tried to ask questions but was basically ignored. I wanted to pay up front because I saw someone else pay upfront because I had questions. They said no and then the machine wasn't working. They answered other customers answers quickly. read more

Came here with my boyfriend for a hot drink since it was very cold outside. I got a hot matcha latte and he got the tochucha americano. I love tea, especially matcha and I usually don't mind the earthiness of matcha but somehow the matcha here was too earthy and grassy for me. The tochucha americano was supposed to be tea and coffee together but the coffee flavor was so overwhelming that we could only taste the coffee. Overall, not a big fan of this place. It seems like their desserts are pretty good according to other reviews but we were too full from our brunch to try any of them. Maybe will try dessert next time but will not recommend their drinks. read more

This cute little shop has some of the best matcha I've ever tried. You can tell everything is quality here! Their matcha tiramisu is to die for. It's such a perfect treat and not overly sweet. 10/10 Yuzu matcha lemonade was so refreshing and earthy, but in one or two sips I got a hint of grass(?) that my friends also picked up on. It went away quickly though and the drink itself was really nice. 8/10 Kuro Mitsu (Matcha): the syrup is hard to mix but the drink itself is yummy. A little less on the sweet side. Good balance of milk and matcha- very smooth! I DONT know if it's bc my drink watered down or if I didn't do a good job mixing it, but it's a bit more milky than matcha than I'd like. I'd like to try their regular latte next time. 7.5/10 Matcha ice cream: pretty standard ice cream done well. Sweet, creamy, and very matcha-y! There's nothing to complain about here. 9/10 Service: the workers are so sweet and handled my to-go order of 5-6 drinks and 3 desserts so well. While i felt apologetic for making such a larger order to lack, they even threw in two brownies! Literally the sweetest. Highly recommend. read more

I love love love green tea, and this place definitely does green tea right! In fact, I love this place so much I buy their matcha powder to go so I can make my green tea in the morning. They have a wide selection of various types (you can get ice cream / regular tea, latte) and they also serve it with espresso, lemonade, etc. There is something for everyone! It is located on colorful Bedford Street, so feel free to grab this drink to go and go for a wonderful walk along the thrift shops or take it down to Domino Park for a nice stroll. Great matcha latte, one of the best matchas I've had. The wait wasn't too long and you can order through the kiosk or the register. I also got a matcha yuzu lemonade. I ordered less ice but I don't think they really care about that cause I saw them put the same amount of ice in both drinks. The matcha flavor in the yuzu lemonade was not that strong, probably overpowered by the lemonade- so I would probably stick to getting a matcha latte next time I come. We also got a matcha tirimisu that was pretty good! read more

Was craving matcha and found Nippon Cha nearby on Yelp - I love trying new spots and Nippon looked pretty authentic. Unfortunately, my drink was pretty disappointing. I ordered an iced matcha latte with whole milk, and I could barely taste the matcha. The milk itself was also not as creamy as I usually expect with whole milk, though I did appreciate that the matcha was whisked to order and there was no additional sweetness added to the drink. Service was solid and the storefront itself is super pretty, so maybe it was an off day. I'd love to give Nippon Cha another try, but the prices are also quite steep so we'll see! read more

I love their matcha latte with oat milk! It's creamy and delicious. I've been here twice--they are slightly inconsistent with how they make it. I always ask for less sweet. So glad a Nippon Cha has finally arrived to Williamsburg. As a huge matcha aficionado, I love trying high quality and authentic brands and this may be my new go-to now that Ippodo closed near Grand Central. I ordered an iced matcha (straight) with a little bit of honey. It was super refreshing, and smooth. I will say the inside seating is a little small, so it feels like a better to-go place. However, the service was good and I received my order very quickly during Saturday peak time. read more

The spot for high-quality matcha beverages in Williamsburg. Self-ordering kiosk makes the service more efficient and is good to browse the specialty options in addition to traditional ones. I got the regular latte and Sofia got the seasonal konako matcha. Both were good. However, the konako flavor seemed to be weakened by the matcha. It didn't taste any different. On the pricey side, but worth it given the quality and if you're a matcha snob! Nippon Cha also offers tiramisu and ice cream that looks delicious. read more

some friends and i were exploring williamsburg and visited nippon cha! we tried some fun drinks & desserts - i was wowed by how rich the tea flavors were. you can really tell that the tea they use in their craft is authentic & high quality! and i learned that they pride themselves on only using premium, ceremonial-grade matcha... and yes, you can absolutely tell the difference. i've actually been to their restaurant in bayside before too, many years ago! it was a great time and i'm glad their desserts quality hasn't gone downhill. what we ordered (* = my faves): - drinks: brown sugar matcha latte, matcha yuzu lemonade* - matcha tiramisu - matcha cheesecake* - matcha ice cream - hojicha ice cream* i LOVE hojicha anything, so when i saw it on the menu obviously i had to get some ice cream. and it slapped. SHEESH. so creamy with a rich tea flavor, can't ask for more !! matcha yuzu lemonade is so refreshing and definitely gonna be one of my go-to drinks next time i'm in the area. also really enjoyed the strong matcha flavors in both the decadent cheesecake and beautifully layered tiramisu read more

I was introduced to this place as part of a Yelp elite event and wanted to come back and try more items. Inside is really small and there isn't much seating room, but there is an outdoor seating area (they also don't have a restroom). The girl working didn't seem to be in the best of mood and wasn't too helpful when I'd ask questions. I ended up trying the matcha tiramisu, which was sooo yummy! I wish the slices were bigger! I also tried the octopus balls, which I hated and DO NOT recommend. The texture was extremely chewy/mushy with maybe 3 little firm pieces of octopus inside each ball. Then they were drenched in a couple different sauces and mayos. To me, it was weird and I couldn't get past the first few bites. I ended up tossing it, so that was an unfortunate waste. But I don't think you can go wrong with any of their other menu items from the lattes and lemonades, to the ice cream flavors and cheesecake. read more
