It was our first visit to the Nine 0 Seven Grill and it was great! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos and was very happy while my daughter had the carnitas tacos and was equally pleased. I had the Angel Wings with garlic mashed potatoes (which were a bit on the thin side). I had never heard of these wings but they were recommended by our server and the entree was outstanding! I've only been here for breakfast, but if I'm going to have breakfast in Benicia this is probably where you'll find me. The servings are generous, and the food is fresh. On this last round I had the veggie scramble. While they don't offer an option for egg-whites only, the omelette was not greasy and all of the veggies were fresh and still had taste! Another plus, there was not an overloaded amount of cheese in the omelette. I had their home potatoes, and they were spiced nicely and cooked just the way I like them - a tad crispy. This is really the place that separates Nine 0 Seven from your average breakfast joint, in Benicia or elsewhere. There are maybe 6-8 mexican oriented breakfast dishes and I can't wait to try all of them. You can tell this is where Randy really pours some love into what could otherwise be boring breakfast fare. Stay away from this place. We had brunch and the utensils were very dirty, folks had visible residual food and the coffee mugs had lipstick marks and food. Table had left over harden egge yolk on the tops. Overall very dirty place Lots of flies, couldn't take more then 30 seconds without having to swat flies to prevent them from lading in your food My wife's salad was served and she enjoyed it, although my breakfast followed 20 minutes later and the French toast was not cooked, strawberries they placed on top had lots of liquid which made the French toast soggy. We had our hearts set on Nine 0 Seven as soon as we saw it the night before as we passed it on our way to another restaurant for dinner. In the morning we stopped in and immediately noticed the lovely decor and clean dining room. I ordered the Breakfast Special and my friends had Eggs Benedict with avocado (I think it was called the California Benedict? Not sure). Typical American food but tastier. It is definitely worth a try but don't expect a wonderful meal. Service is ok but they could be more profesional. The carnitas is excellent but I would substitute the wild rice with white rice. The kitchen and bathroom need to be cleaner...we found a couple of surprises in my buddy's food. Classy place to eat at in Benicia. I have only ordered their Carnitas tacos and their burgers. Both are solid choices and fill you up for a good price (9-10 bucks). The waitress we had was very friendly and she gave us free breadsticks with artichoke dip. They must have prepared it by accident, but thats an added star in my book. The Carnitas tacos come with 3 tacos, beans and rice. I would say the beans are the least tasty out of three, but if you mix it with your rice, they taste a lot better. read more

We have been here for breakfast countless times and Nine O Seven always keeps us coming back for more. We recently decided to try dinner here and it was phenomenal. The ribeye was juicy and perfectly cooked, the carnitas tacos are some of the best we've had and the angel wings are a must try. The outdoor covered and heated patio is great and the service is always 5 stars (thanks Vivian!). We've been coming here since they opened years ago. Rosanna has always been such a sweet person and has made our experience near familial every time. She remembers our little one and greets her with a hug each time we stop in. They've redone the interior and refined the menu. Traditionally, my wife gets the Mexican Sampler breakfast that includes huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and Chile verde and I get the chicken fried steak and eggs or the linguisa and eggs. My wife doesn't eat the Chile verde so I get them to put that in a separate little bowl on the side and I add it to the top of my chicken fried steak. It's awesome! They've changed the recipe and/or breading recently and it's not as crispy delicious as it's been in the past. Could have just been today but it's just more airy and almost tastes powdery. It's still pretty damn good though and worth a try. The patio is a great place to spend a morning with the fam and sip some mimosas. Haven't really tried dinner or lunch here so don't really have an opinion on that. The "Jalisco Mule" is a damn good sipper too! read more

What a great place! Randy is BACK, and he's in prime form with this little place! The Angel Wings are perfect, they fall right off the bone! The Mahi fish tacos are spot on, with the black beans that aren't over spiced or salted and homemade salsa. And the breakfasts are really good too! Don't expect a fine dining experience, but if you like that small town, main street feel, this is for you. I had dinner the other night and my server was great. She was new, only two weeks in, and it showed only a little (nothing a couple more weeks can't cure). I walked in the restaurant around 7:45, it was so quiet I thought they might be closed. So I asked Bridget if they were open and if I could sit outside. I knew they were trying to get out early, but she very warmly greeted me and said to take a seat outside. Not once did I ever sense a feeling of "Hurry up so I can leave" from her, which happens often when it's slow and servers are wanting to go home. She came over right away and got my place settings and water. She explained a little about the menu and left me to decide. She returned with perfect timing, and took the order. While I was eating she checked on me unobtrusively and, without asking, brought refills for my water and soda. While that may not sound like much, it's exactly what customers expect, and not having to ask for little things like refills on water and drinks is a biggie (I've been the restaurant and hotel industry for 14 years, and I've seen some pretty horrible service over the years). My son brought me here to the 907 Grill for the Mother's Day buffet brunch. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. The brunch was wonderfully tasty and there were very many items to choose from including individually ordered and prepared omelets and eggs Benedict. As much as we might have wanted! I have passed by Nine 0 Seven a number of times and had not gone in. My wife and I decided to have breakfast there this past Sunday. We were seated immediately and chose to sit on the back patio. It was nice, private, and had a good vibe. We were given attention by the wait staff and coffee and water were brought to us immediately. The menu had great choices and I decided to "go for it" ordering the chicken fried steak, eggs, home fries and toast while my wife went for the veggie omelette. Without a long wait the food was brought to us all together and hot. My meal was absolutely delicious with a portion that sustained me for the day. The steak was tender, gravy was wonderful, the eggs done to perfection, and home fries were perfect. I watched the variety of dishes come out to other tables and it all looked amazing. I had the bacon and eggs, the hasbrowns were great, portions jsut right, the bacon was deep fried, which I don't necessarily like, but it was good here. The orange juice I had was ice cold, and I tried some of my dad's chorizo and eggs - also very good - the one complaint at the table were that the refried beans were a little dry. I wish we would have sat outside, the patio area looked very cool. One snarky recommendation I would make - get new menus - the words are hard to read becasue the ink is so light and has stuff crossed out - looks a smidge tacky - get a solid menu and laminate that B word! lol Most certainly will be back for another breakfast read more

We were in Benicia for the day and happened to spot this place while driving by. Our waitress was SO nice and friendly! I'd go back just to have her again. The food was pretty good. The monte Cristo sandwich was really good! My boyfriend had the taco salad and really liked it. The sweet potato fries were amazing with the special aoili they had. I wish I could have given this place 5 stars, because the service was excellent and the food was mostly fantastic. We were on our way to the Italian restaurant next door and this caught our eye. The veggie quesadilla was delish. The house salad and the blue cheese dressing were really good. My man enjoyed his Mahi Mahi plate and veggies with garlic mashed potatoes. I also liked the garlic mash and the veggies were cooked perfectly, but the Parmesan chicken was disappointing. I noticed it was pink almost red even all throughout, so I asked the server if it was cooked in wine and she found that the Alfredo sauce used a white wine, but the chicken itself, no. Then she said it didn't usually look like that. :/ I love chicken Parmesan- it's my favorite. Not my favorite here. New owners. I had not been here since before the pandemic. I decided I to go back. It was just my daughter and I that walked in at 4pm on a Tuesday. No other customers. The bar top was covered with dirty glasses on top of it. Two workers were sitting at a table. We sat outside. The back patio was more like half for storage and whatever was left over from the previous owners. Very poor service. The margarita tasted like straight mix, I could not even drink half of it. The chips were dry. We waited half an hour for our check. We were still the only customers in the time we were there. We eventually went inside so we could pay. There were no employees in site. We waited inside for another ten minutes so we could pay. Eventually we just walked out. I hate to leave such a terrible review for a local restaurant that I used to love but folks should know how bad it is before they spend their time and money. read more
