My recent visit to this restaurant was a complete disaster. The food was abysmal; I suspect the lobster came from CVS. They have hiding fees and The level of bad service at this restaurant was truly astounding. !!!! When we are having our dinner, the thunderstorm rolled in, instead of calmly managing the situation, our server seemed utterly flustered. She rushed to tell us we had to move inside, which we understood. However, the shock came when she claimed there was no space indoors, not evening extra seatings (with no table) for 3 people! As we reluctantly took matters into our own hands and opened the door get in ourselves, our server left my elderly parents stranded Onb the back of the door. Her priority? Mopping the floor. It's mind-boggling that she would prioritize cleaning over the comfort and safety of customers, especially elderly ones. When I finally confronted the waiter about this absurdity, pointing out that they should have prepared a spot for my parents before starting their cleaning frenzy, I was met with indifference. There was no acknowledgment of their mistake, no apology, just a blank stare. But the cherry on top of this terrible service sundae was when I checked the bill. Lo and behold, they had added a 20% tip without our consent. It felt like a final insult after the whole ordeal. The bad service wasn't just a one-time slip-up; it was a consistent theme throughout our meal. In summary, the bad service at this restaurant was not just an inconvenience; it was an art form. They managed to turn a thunderstorm into an opportunity to neglect and inconvenience their customers. It's an experience I won't soon forget, and I strongly advise against subjecting yourself to it.love lol read more

Both times we tried to get in there and there were no reservations so we squeezed into the bar. The wine selection is really good. The food choices were really good. We were in a sampling mood both times so we ordered different plates and shared. Pork tacos:really awesome with a twist. 2 to an order. Jenni is not a pork eater. But I think she was going to fight me for my taco. The meat had a rich very flAvorful taste. My mouth is now watering thinking back on it. Not sure how they did it. Awesome. The scallops: equalling awesome. Big meaty. The little crunchy on top ( don't remember what it was. Check menu) gave a great contrast. The sides on plate worked very well. To be point that I noticed how nice the flavors were - very complementary. Their twist of the key like pie. Equally great. The second visit we took advantage of the upstairs bar which allowed us a quicker sitting - but they offered the option to order off the 915 menu. The do lighter meals. The pizza was thin crust. As a thin crust fan I thought they nailed it. On the success of the pork tacos on the first visit - i ventured with the Asian ribs. It looked like a whole slab of baby backs. I was surprised at the portion. The ribs were good. They were a little bitey tangy. As was the slaw that was paired. The first thing we had that did not get the holy cow this is good look. The Asian tangy did not work for us. For the pork or slaw. Not sure why. They are great with the flavors. Bottom line - with a lot of good choices around key west we will be back. It was so good we might break our rule and order something a second time. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! One would think that this restaurant is SUPPOSED to have horrible service. From our waitor rolling his eyes at us-to over 90 minutes for our food to arrive. It's a small place and he had maybe 2 or 3 tables? We had to ask for our drinks to be ordered-we had to ASK for our food and never once did the waitor check in on us. It gets better.. when we asked for a manager seeking multiple tables served after we sat. We were told "No manager is on staff" yet the lady standing outside by the hostess stand was stating she was the manager. When we explained our frustration and horrible service; clearly the service learned his manners from her. She listened and then started to argue with us... Ummm am I asking too much to have proper or general customer service/ manners? Last I checked-McDonalds greets and much more friendly then this place. If you want horrible over priced food with service-THIS IS THE SPOT TO BE. Oh and if you want to pay with more than 1 method of payment (IE- Credit card and cash to split a bill-they won't do it and refuse to accomdinate). Be sure to have the exact amount of cash as the server won't break a $20 and wants to claim the "left over money for his 20% tip" that he didn't deserve. read more

I stopped by Nine One Five for a pasta dinner during my trip to Key West, and while the food was excellent, the overall experience fell a bit short, solid 3 stars from me. The highlight was definitely the fresh, in-house made pasta. I ordered the Tortelloni de Casa, and the black truffle flavor was rich, savory, and absolutely delicious, definitely the standout of the night. That said, a few things took away from the experience. We had three different servers throughout our one-hour meal, which made the service feel a bit disorganized. The portion sizes were also on the smaller side, especially for the price. We had made a reservation two days in advance but were seated out in the front yard. It was fine, but I think the ambiance would have been much better indoors or upstairs, something to keep in mind if you book ahead. All in all, the food alone makes it worth considering, but between the inconsistent service, small portions, and less-than-ideal seating, there's room for improvement. I'd return for the pasta, but with tempered expectations. read more

This is such a charming spot, perfect for a date night or a meal with friends. What really sold me was the deep-fried whole fish--it was absolutely delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection--crispy, flavorful, and not fishy at all. The sauce on the side complemented it beautifully, cutting through the richness of the fried fish, while the rice was a great addition to balance the slightly salty flavor of the fish. The pasta was also excellent--cooked perfectly al dente, with a sauce that was rich and flavorful. The drinks were fantastic, rounding out the meal nicely. As for the service, it was a bit of a mixed experience. We had three different servers approach us to take our orders, which was a little confusing since we'd already ordered. However, once the food arrived, everything ran smoothly, and we had a great time. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for its amazing food and lovely atmosphere. read more

By far and away one of the best restaurants in Key West. The food is incredibly well done and very tasty. The location is good, although a bit off the touristy track (good). The house that the restaurant is in is beautiful, old Key West style, fun and funky. To all those who have given less than wonderful reviews. The restaurant itself is relatively small and very popular, you either need a reservation or you need to go early, simple as that, off days (not weekend) are better. The portions are "small" relative to the all you can eat quantity style of other restaurants, personally I like the smaller plates, it means I never leave stuffed, I'm always satisfied and happy. The smaller plates means you can share, if you want more order more. The staff is usually very nice, but like any restaurant when it gets crowded, they get busy. Price-wise, everything in the Key is expensive. read more

Title: Disappointing Service Overshadows a Good Meal I recently dined at Restaurant 9.5 in Key West, and while the food was quite good, my experience was marred by the poor service I received. Our server, Jewels, was unhelpful and dismissive when I brought up an issue with her assistant's rudeness. Instead of addressing my concern, she simply smiled and did not address my issue. This lack of professionalism was shocking and completely unacceptable. It's a shame because the restaurant itself has potential with its delicious menu, but the service left a sour taste in my mouth. If you decide to go, be prepared for the possibility of encountering a staff member who may not prioritize your dining experience. I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Nine One Five was an absolute gem! We snagged a spot on the upper balcony, first come, first serve and separate from the main outdoor seating, which made for a charming, tucked-away dining experience. I tried the mango drink, which was beautiful and heavy on the champagne, not quite my style, but still enjoyable. What really stood out was the food. The fries were perfectly crispy and served piping hot, the Asian ribs were absolutely epic, and the mussels were hands-down the best I've had in Key West. The octopus portion was small, but every bite was packed with incredible flavor. I'll definitely be back, this place nails the details where it matters most. read more

The online waitlist initially estimated a 60-75 minute wait, not an issue, had a cocktail upstairs and really wnjoyed ourselves. When we checked in, we were told we were next eventhough thebonline portal told us to come. After waiting another 15 minutes, we were told our table was just being cleaned and to wait where we were. A few minutes later, another employee told us we had to move because a different party was holding the door open, so we ended up standing behind the bar with our backs against the wall. It just felt awkward and disorganized. When we were finally seated in the back room, we thought it would be nice since it was quieter, but it was extremely hot. I'm usually the person who is always cold, yet I was sweating through dinner. Service also left a lot to be desired. The food runner handed our hot dinner plates directly to us instead of placing them on the table. I was sitting at the opposite end of the table from him, so I had to reach out and take a hot plate. I even asked if it was hot, and he still practically dropped it into my hands. I had burned my fingers earlier that day, so it hurt!!.. but it was that or drop my pasta!? Our server also repeatedly reached across guests' faces to clear plates instead of walking around the table. At one point my sister didn't even realize she was there until an arm reached in front of her, which was awkward. To make matters worse, two of our dinners arrived about seven minutes before the remaining meals, so part of our table was left waiting while the others' food got cold. We asked for grated Parmesan for our two PASTA dishes. No one mentioned there would be a charge. It took another six minutes to arrive, and when the bill came we discovered we had been charged $2 per serving. We asked for two servings, but three were brought to the table--and we were charged for all three. Six minutes may not sound like much, but after already waiting for the rest of the meals, another delay while watching our server take new tables' orders instead of bringing the cheese felt frustrating. To end on a positive note, three of the meals were good. My mother-in-law really enjoyed the grilled wahoo, my husband liked the BBQ mac and cheese, and my sister liked the fried artichoke. Overall, it wasn't one major issue--it was a series of small service problems that added up and made for a disappointing experience. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.

I can't eat anything spicy anymore but I can usually d a spicy marg without issue. This was hard for even my husband to drink and he LOVES spicy. Just way way too much for a cocktail. Would skip in future Casa Blanca ($21) I actually regret not getting another one. This was unbelievably good. Not sweet. Burrata Flatbread ($25) More of a pizza than a flatbread but this was our favorite of the night. It was also quite large so we had leftovers to nibble on later Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna ($48) I'm not a fan of tuna but my husband really enjoyed it. It was deceptively small but very filling. Hw would order again Pinot Noir, Ponzi Tavola ($20 g / $30 g / $78 b)Willamette Valley, Oregon. Good but didn't look up the bottle to add to our collection. Nondescript ‍Key Lime Pie ($15) this was one of our least favorite key lime pies of the trip. To start, it was tiny. It then was also just all the things we tend to not like in a key lime pie. It was room temperature. We like it frozen. We also like it custardy and thick and this was very thin. Almost no lime flavor. Definitely a skip Also worth noting, prior to our trip I called 6 times to book the "roes on the beach" table. Basically a private table on the beach. It's $200 per person. This was an anniversary trip so we planned to do special dinners throughout. You can book this online but it would never go all the way through so I called. I called 6 times. No one picked up. There is not voice mail to leave a voicemail. And the automated messaging system send you to general Hilton customer service after a few minutes and they were rude at every opportunity. One blatantly lined to me over the phone like in a big blatant way. When someone is trying to book a Lucy experience with a price to match maybe a touch of general professionalism would be helpful if not expected. Needless to say we decide to skip that. Had to take away a start for that. If you don't deal with that this is a solid 3 stars

We visited during the summer and remained pleasantly cool beneath the roof of the Dorada, while the nearby ocean provided a steady, refreshing breeze. The drinks were excellent, and the prices were entirely in keeping with those expected in a tourist destination. We settled at the bar with a pair of piña coladas and watched the shark patrol move back and forth across the water and sky in their boats, planes, and helicopters. Between the ocean air, the lively staff, and the excellent drinks, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. A fine place to sit, sip, and observe the peculiar drama unfolding beyond the shore.

Anna, our chef and server, took such wonderful care of us, and the view of the sunset could not have been better. Tip: lounge by the dock to watch the boats and tarpon. We started w the Royal Flamingo cocktail w the smoke bubble show. That's a must. For dinner, it was the steak and lobster for two and the lobster was perfect. The steak was very good, too. We were so full that we didn't order dessert, but Anna gave us a complimentary key lime tart to take home. And that was excellent. Thank you, Anna, for an outstanding birthday evening.

The bar tender/server provided perfunctory service. He only offered my husband seats in the direct sun when there were seats not in the sun. I moved the umbrella to get dine relief from the sun, but it didn't help. Despite taking out order and bringing us our food and drink it was pretty much self serve. I had to leave my table to get a refill in my tea and again to get my cocktail to go and to ask for our ticket. At one point he was FaceTiming someone. The flavor of the lobster pizza was good, but the quantity of lobster and overall pizza just wasn't as memorable as in the past. Mind you, in 2022 we went back twice in a week to get this pizza and service. I made sure my sister and brother-in-law stopped to get the lobster pizza with their trip in the past year. Maybe because this is the slow season so things are a bit off, but with so many new laces to try it was a bit disappointing this evening.

The place was pretty busy, so we got lucky to find a few seats at the end of the bar. The bartenders are pretty attentive given the number of guests they were serving. Once I was seated, the bartender came to take my drink order pretty quickly, and upon realizing they had happy hour until 6:30pm, decided to indulge in that menu. For drinks, I enjoyed a few of their premade piña colada's. I usually try to stay away from the premade drinks (especially frozen), due to quality, but theirs were pretty good, and I could actually taste the rum. I also ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls and the chicken quesadillas which both were tasty. The egg rolls hands down were a 10 out of 10. The quesadilla could've used a bit more seasoning, but no complaints for the price, and the fact that they don't charge for sour cream or pico.
