The Nolan with shrimp & scallops.

Nine Mile has a big menu with selections for everyone including vegans and vegetarians. Spice was good though the server's description of the six spice levels was confusing. They should consider adding the descriptions as a note on the menu. Entrees include a nice green salad with several choices for dressing. Service was mediocre at best. Annika delivered our bottle of wine then opened the screw top and walked away. It wasn't until after we poured our wine that we realized she had delivered the wrong bottle! No reaction after we informed her of the mistake. We also had to flag her down for water refills. The dining room is very noisy. Food gets four stars and the server two stars.

Amani (sub salmon)

This place seems overhyped. Saw a lot of positive reviews and recommendations, but it did not live up to what I had expected. I ordered the nine mile chicken - as spicy as they could make it. I don't know if that's what sacrificed the flavor, but this was just a bland dish that is spicy. I do not recommend this. My wife ordered the Amani, but subbed salmon. This was actually very good. She enjoyed this a lot and I did as well. The chutney was very good! The service was good. Our server was very nice. The vibe of the restaurant was okay.

Meshac, Back A Yard, what's left of the smoked Gouda queso

We have been coming to this restaurant for years! Never disappoints and is always amazing! They have a few new dishes and drinks since we've been there last. We had the smoked Gouda queso, The Meshach, and the Back A Yard, both with chicken...A..mazing! We also had the rum punch and mojito for drinks, both were really good! Their salads are great with homemade dressings that I would buy! And they bring some garlic bread that anybody would love! Great place to eat and the service is always fast and friendly! Very chill vibe with Jamaican music in the background. Love this place! Great for vegans and vegetarians as well!

food, service and ambiance was really good. One of the best caribbean restaurants. We ordered three dishes and loved all of them. Beware of their spice levels: hot is reallyyy hot Their rosé sauce is a must try. Definitely going again

Deliciousness. Hearty and filling. Caribbean but with strong thai influences. They also make their own draft beers. Definitely go, but don't expect traditional Caribbean cuisine - this is much more a fusion situation, but still very worth it. Good service too!

Got here around 4:30ish on a Saturday and we were able to be seated right away but by the time we left an hour or so later it was pretty busy. Definitely plan on a wait if you come during a busy time. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking can be difficult. Their lot is small. Now for the food- AMAZING! I got the Cool Runnings and it was flavorful and fresh. I really liked their queso sauce. The bread and side salad that come with an entree were a nice plus. I don't even know what else to say but their food other than please go check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Cool running's with chicken

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. Came here around 4:30 on a Saturday and there were plenty tables open (unlike when we left around 6pm). Got the hummus, which ended up being black bean and SO full of flavor. Every entree comes with a small spring salad and a delicious Caribbean style garlic bread to soak up the extra salad dressing. The entree comes out with enough for at least 2 meals unless you're super hungry. I personally loved how many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options they have to cater to any dietary need! Will absolutely be back here on every trip to Asheville!!

They don't take reservations, so we ended up putting our names down and grabbing some drinks at a different bar while we waited. The food is so delicious. All our food had such different flavors. I got the salmon with sweet potatoes. The curry was excellent. It was hard to figure out what to get because everything looks so good. You can't really go wrong with whatever you pick.

Food is great and atmosphere is nice and laid back. The menu is perfect, because they don't try to do too many dishes. It's excellent.

First time staying at this hotel and they have a voucher for food and since I wasn't hungry, I got…read moresome desserts to try. I'm OBSESSED with chocolate so I had to try the chocolate cake. I very much love the filling on the inside which was a chocolate frosting and loved the chocolate layer on the outside of the cake. The cake part itself was definitely a bit dry. It was flakey when I put my spoon into it. Still good but the filling helped a lot. It did come with some kind of fruit sauce on the side (maybe strawberry?) but I didn't wanna make it a fruity chocolate cake so I dipped a few bites. I also saw they had Bavarian cream churros and since I've never had churros before, I wanted to try those as well. I'm not sure how churros are supposed to be but I was thinking they would be a little soft since they had filling but they weren't. They were on the crunchy side and I that kinda made it hard to taste the cream in the middle. They were good but like I said, not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. They came with a chocolate sauce and it was delicious but that definitely masked the flavor of the churro. Both were $7 each so not too bad. I think I'd get both again if I'm here in the future. Side note, no, I don't finish either dessert. I took them home. Lmao!

My girlfriend and I celebrated our 21-month-versary with a little Asheville date while we were…read morestaying in Marshall for a mini getaway. The hostess found our reservation right away and seated us inside--originally I asked for patio seating, but Mother Nature said "absolutely not," so indoors it was. Our waitress was fantastic. I'm about 87% sure her name was Sylvia (according to my girlfriend), but what I do know is that she was a fun, blondish woman from New Orleans with a personality that made the experience even better. We kept it light--just drinks and appetizers to share. I ordered a Coquito, my girlfriend ordered something sweet (the name escapes me, but the smile didn't). Food-wise, we shared the chicken empanadas, yuca fritas, and crispy Caribbean wings. Every bite was a win. We had to make a dramatic exit because we were heading to a walking ghost tour (priorities), so we grabbed dessert to go: pastelitos de guayaba. Even eaten on the move, they were absolutely delicious. Great food, great service, great vibes--10/10 would celebrate another month-versary here.
