Friday night reggae is night; seems okay, but I'm here for an oxtail plate. Plus, it is only 1620.

I got a to go order of egusi soup and fufu. It's my first time trying it and OMG it is so good! It had so much flavor and I can't wait to try other dishes from their menu. Definitely a 10/10

With a name like Wakanda how could you not be drawn into this place?! I was looking for a fun cultural experience, and this place has it in spades. On top of it all, the food is fantastic. There were so many things I wanted to try and will have to wait in that with my next visit with my friend. I asked for a suggestion from the waiter and ordered the small Egusi soup plate with fufu. The soup was bursting with flavor and so eating it with the fufu that was more on the plain side balanced it out well. I also tried my friend's jerk chicken, cabbage, and plantains which were also really delicious. Now for the entertainment part happened to be that there is a tv, mirror and stage. The night we happened to be here was when some group of Clemson college students came and were eating and dancing to some African music videos. Great to listen to and watch. The people working here were so hospitable. I understand that is also a lounge and the place serves alcohol and we were there with my friend's family inclusive of kids but the videos were fine nothing sexual but it is loud which is to be expected.

The tilapia and jollof *chefs kiss*. The rice was perfectly seasoned and tender. The FISH was marinated for 3 days by your grandma then cooked by your aunty and served with that sweet sweet smile. They had a DJ who tried to get the party started but here just wasn't enough people. I'd recommend this place and I'm probably going back myself this weekend.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Great service. The waitress helped multiple times and was really kind. Even had the owner check up on me and my mom. The food was perfectly spicy and tasted great! Really great impressions on African food for me started here! We came a bit late but they ended seating us in the vip area to help my mom have a bigger seat. My whole family enjoyed the food. Will 100% come back here! Might even bring my friends here!

This is my third time eating from this restaurant and the food is so worth eating. It's totally delicious. This has the right amount of heat to it. I will be back again. Thank you, WAKANDA.

    Fufu and chicken curry

My son wanted to try to fufu so we found the only authentic African cuisine in our area and decided to try this on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was all very friendly. They let my son sample the fufu as well and they were very accommodating. I ordered the peanut butter soup but they were out so I got the jerk chicken plate instead. Delicious flavor and authentic and fresh tasting spices. I loved the flavor of the cabbage. Everything was really good. My son loved his chicken curry. My favorite were the meat pies. We just had chicken and a veggie one. I will definitely be back to try that peanut butter soup with the fufu. I heard their dishes are really good so I look forward to going back to try a little bit of everything!

Jerk chicken dish! Full of flavor!

I love trying local restaurants out! This one didn't disappoint! I went in on a Friday night because I was craving an authentic jerk chicken dish. I read the reviews first and decided to try this place out. Food was full of flavor and it was exactly what I wanted. On a Friday evening I was expecting a wait, but this place hardly had anybody there which had me a little skeptical. I was greeted by a lady that was super nice and told me I could sit anywhere. They had music going which was a little loud for me. That really is the only thing I can say that I didn't like, but I still give them 5 stars because of the food! If you're near the area or wanting something different then I would highly recommend! Mind you it is authentic. With that being said, the jerk chicken dish is made with the chicken and bones all chopped up and you have to make sure you don't swallow a bone.. just a heads up for that dish.

After driving from ATL to Asheville, NC from my winter road trip, my friend and I were hungry. So before we headed out to our secluded Airbnb in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we stopped here. The restaurant wasn't packed but was fairly empty when we arrived, but the service was nonetheless amazing. The male server was very nice and gave good recommendations on the vegan tibs which are tempeh. I've never been to an Ethiopian restaurant that offers a vegan option to tibs. So that was a plus and a first. We ordered the vegan/vegetarian platter for two people. It was extremely delicious and the food melted in my mouth. It was so flavorful and did not lack any seasonings whatsoever. I loved the atmosphere because they played nice music that met well with the Ethiopian theme and the photos on the wall made me feel like I was in Africa enjoying my yummy meal. I love that they offer Reed's Ginger beer, it is spicy but tasty. On our week-long trip to Asheville, we ate here twice. Also, another thing that I loved was the fact that they give you an abundance of injera. I can't wait to return the next time I visit Asheville!

They took time to engage in casual conversation and created an atmosphere that felt personal and welcoming. A particular highlight was the owner's involvement throughout the meal; visiting the table on several occasions to personally describe each dish, which proved invaluable given our limited familiarity with South African cuisine. Ambiance: The setting strikes an ideal balance between relaxed and charming. We dined al fresco alongside the garden and farm animals, lending the experience a distinctive, unhurried quality that felt refreshingly unpretentious. The environment is well-suited to those seeking a genuine farm-to-table atmosphere without affectation. Food: The quality of the cuisine was genuinely impressive. The lamb chops were a standout -- cooked to a precise medium to medium-rare and seasoned with a confident, well-balanced hand. The dishes reflected the skill and experience of a kitchen operating at a high level, with clear attention to both technique and ingredient quality. Overall: Bush Farmhouse delivered on every front. The combination of superior food, engaged and joyful staff, and a relaxed, authentic setting makes for a dining experience that is as memorable as it is satisfying. This is a restaurant clearly operating at its best, and one we would recommend without reservation to anyone seeking a distinctive and well-crafted culinary experience.
