In a new town looking for a place at the mall to est on a chill saturday i comeacross this food that not only catches my eyes, looks amazing, and smells good... we looked at everything else but i knew thats what i wanted to eat. The boy that took our order looked so sweet was very polite and gave us an idea of some of the best things there which i knew i had to try. before i ordered the chickern curry over my beans and rice, the man in the back offered to bring some fresh out because they had just made more .. again good customer service he was very polite as well, other than a great look and great service the food .. the food was amazing my favorites were the jerk chicken and the cury chicken as well as the cabbage and the yams, basically everything was amazing i would definately come back next time we visit asheville.

Some of the best food I have had in Asheville. If you're looking for comfort food that is made with love this is the place to go- amazing Jamaican cuisine. LOVED the jerk chicken, yellow rice, and plantains. Highly highly recommend this place! SO GOOD!!!!

Island Pan is the reason I go to the mall. The other day I finally got the oxtail meal and it was delicious. Lots of meat and flavors were fantastic. I got it with the coconut rice and jerk chicken meal for the fam to share. They ran out of plantains so I got some frozen ones at Publix and I made them at home. IP continues to impress and the prices are great.

First time staying at this hotel and they have a voucher for food and since I wasn't hungry, I got…read moresome desserts to try. I'm OBSESSED with chocolate so I had to try the chocolate cake. I very much love the filling on the inside which was a chocolate frosting and loved the chocolate layer on the outside of the cake. The cake part itself was definitely a bit dry. It was flakey when I put my spoon into it. Still good but the filling helped a lot. It did come with some kind of fruit sauce on the side (maybe strawberry?) but I didn't wanna make it a fruity chocolate cake so I dipped a few bites. I also saw they had Bavarian cream churros and since I've never had churros before, I wanted to try those as well. I'm not sure how churros are supposed to be but I was thinking they would be a little soft since they had filling but they weren't. They were on the crunchy side and I that kinda made it hard to taste the cream in the middle. They were good but like I said, not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. They came with a chocolate sauce and it was delicious but that definitely masked the flavor of the churro. Both were $7 each so not too bad. I think I'd get both again if I'm here in the future. Side note, no, I don't finish either dessert. I took them home. Lmao!

The hostess found our reservation right away and seated us inside--originally I asked for patio seating, but Mother Nature said "absolutely not," so indoors it was. Our waitress was fantastic. I'm about 87% sure her name was Sylvia (according to my girlfriend), but what I do know is that she was a fun, blondish woman from New Orleans with a personality that made the experience even better. We kept it light--just drinks and appetizers to share. I ordered a Coquito, my girlfriend ordered something sweet (the name escapes me, but the smile didn't). Food-wise, we shared the chicken empanadas, yuca fritas, and crispy Caribbean wings. Every bite was a win. We had to make a dramatic exit because we were heading to a walking ghost tour (priorities), so we grabbed dessert to go: pastelitos de guayaba. Even eaten on the move, they were absolutely delicious. Great food, great service, great vibes--10/10 would celebrate another month-versary here.
