This restaurant is very small, but so cute! The food is incredible. The Ropa Vieja is a must try! The meat is super tender and flavorful. The Escabeche Salad is refreshing and the pickled cabbage and onions pair perfectly with the meal. Little Chango is perfect for a tasty lunch!

Little Chango is a must visit in Asheville. We tried both of the aqua frescas, split the escabeche and amarillos then it was the rope vieja areapa for my husband and the pernil arepa for me. It was all amazing. It is a smaller spot so you may need to order takeout or go at an off time.

Recently moved to Asheville from San Diego. I'm a Puerto Rican raised in Florida. I cried when I stumbled o to this little restaurant met the owner who is kind and hard working. The food was a taste of home to say the least! Mostly outdoor seating with a small bar for indoor seating

Little Chango is absolutely incredible. Tasty and fresh Puerto Rican food that hit all the right notes. It was so good we ended up going twice during our trip. We tried the pernil which is a delicious taste of the island and the yuca fries were perfectly crispy. The arroz con gandules and ropa vieja were both packed with flavor and the aguas frescas were super refreshing. This place is a must try if you're in Asheville.

Discovered a new little gem downtown! The food was great! It's small inside and there is some outside seating. The people working were very nice. We enjoyed it and will definitely go back!

The food is fresh, cooked slow with lots of love. My only complaint is that I don't have room to eat more.

Little Chango lived up to its 5 star ratings! It is an impressive little unassuming restaurant in South Slope. You order at the counter and food is brought out to you . There are only 4-5 picnic tables outside, and a few stools inside. We were fortunate to grab the last table. The main food is Arepas. We each ordered one , with side of rice and beans , amarillo and salad. We had the Rojo Vieja and Pernil Arepas. The Arepas were amazing. The meats were tender and flavorful . The toppings were full of flavor with the right about of spice. The plantations were so good , and so sweet! When we are back in Asheville, I would definately return,

Chorizo was just across the street from our hotel so we overlooked it at first. I now regret that. The ambience, the food, the experience. Everything was great. The four people in our party all ordered something different and tried to decide who ordered the best meal. The Indio plate had so many different flavor profiles, but came together for a savory meal. I very much love the filling on the inside which was a chocolate frosting and loved the chocolate layer on the outside of the cake. The cake part itself was definitely a bit dry. It was flakey when I put my spoon into it. Still good but the filling helped a lot. It did come with some kind of fruit sauce on the side (maybe strawberry?) but I didn't wanna make it a fruity chocolate cake so I dipped a few bites. I also saw they had Bavarian cream churros and since I've never had churros before, I wanted to try those as well. I'm not sure how churros are supposed to be but I was thinking they would be a little soft since they had filling but they weren't. They were on the crunchy side and I that kinda made it hard to taste the cream in the middle. They were good but like I said, not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. They came with a chocolate sauce and it was delicious but that definitely masked the flavor of the churro. Both were $7 each so not too bad. I think I'd get both again if I'm here in the future. Side note, no, I don't finish either dessert. I took them home. Lmao!
