Beautiful space with food to match! We started with guac. Then shared the ropas viejas entree & ropas viejas tacos. Everything was delicious.

Fantastic! Nice ambience with comfortable music. Service staff was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Food was absolutely fantastic. Ceviche was delicious, I got the old Indian. Wife got the paella. And we shared a chocolate torque pistachio thing that was amazing! Only thing disappointing honestly was the flan was a little too firm.

First time in this gorgeous spot in my hometown! It's right downtown in the grove arcade area. The food is smashing, mimosas yumtastic, and our waitress was so sweet and attentive! We have definitely found our new brunch spot and I'm looking forward to see what dinner is like!

    Crab benedict $12

Chorizo has recently updated its menu. We just ate their for brunch. They open at 9 a.m. They have an amazingly delicious $12 menu, which includes a fruit salad with those items. I had the crab benedict, which also included avocado on the side. Service was impeccable. The remodeling is colorful and sophisticated. Best brunch in town.

I had a really great meal here. Nice fish dishes. Margaritas are...ok. Not real strong mexico margs. Food is really good though and its and option for us. I like Limones better by far, but this is a bit cheaper and more kid friendly. The other yelpers are right. A very bright and nice space to dine in also. Very filling portions too.

Vibes were weird. Food was not good. The name of the restaurant was misleading, as I assumed it would be Mexican food.

Since we got there so early, we had ordered from their cafe and their lattes were nice to sip on while walking through their edible garden! I really liked our server, a ginger man, very kind and quirky and it felt personable which I enjoy, he told us about being a Michelin recommended and I'm glad to have experienced it! For starter, I got the smoked salmon hash, and that was filling enough and very fresh! I had ordered their Philly cheese steak with auju and it was sooooo filling, I love a hearty breakfast, but I could only finish one half. I ordered their local sausage patty and it was nice and Smokey and savory! The grits were chunky and cheesy which I really enjoyed, everything was great! Love it! My partner ordered a classic breakfast and their maple bacon is sooooooooo good, I told him he needed to learn to make it because I want more! Their fruits seemed home grown and I really appreciate their decor of sexy veggies on the way! Such a cool place to eat and hang out!

They also grow their own herbs and veggies in the adjacent garden to the restaurant. The flavor on the waffle sandwich was superb. Waffle crispy and chicken moist. The hash was also great but was a bit salty.

The best falafel (a daily Benedict special) and that's saying something given I've eaten falafels in Israel, Turkey and NYC. The bed of arugula and hollondaise sauce was chef's kiss. Then there's the side dish of the feta potato salad. OMG! The server called the chef "young, hungry, and polished..." and truly I agree. My honey is a meat and potatoe dude and the burger he had was sumptuous. A hint of horseradish (he thinks) with the smoky bacon and perfect seasoned fries. In summary... total gastronomic taste gasm. We will be back. Many times. This is what makes Asheville worth the trip.

The menu is Southern creative. We started with the biscuits and gravy appetizer which might have been a mistake because I was almost too full for my entree after sampling it. The signature gravy was heavenly! We scooped it up with our forks when we ran out of biscuit. The coffee is excellent and we all enjoyed the fresh squeezed juice. (Those are important touches for breakfast.) the service is super friendly. Maybe could use a more extensive child's menu. My older son eats like a little adult but my younger kid is a typical "kid" eater. Although he loved his waffles and the picture provided for coloring. If I lived in this neighborhood, I'd be walking down here all the time.

I found Chestnut on Yelp and decided to wander in. The space has this elevated modern rustic vibe with a southern twist and a little bit of sass. They even sell shirts that say neither hoity nor toity, which cracked me up. Honestly, the atmosphere was great, but our waitress was the real star. She was absolutely phenomenal and looked after us perfectly. My palate was pretty fried, so I started with a Bloody Mary to wake up. Truth be told, it was just okay. The house mix had an odd flavor that nobody at the table could quite identify, and it seriously lacked spice. It was just kinda bland. I noticed a bottle of Firewalker hot sauce on the table, and splashing that in helped a little bit. After that, I transitioned to a mimosa. You really cannot mess up a mimosa too much, and it was a solid, reliable second drink. For the main event, I ordered the southern chicken and waffles. This came with a fried chicken breast sitting on golden malted waffles, smothered in sausage gravy, and drizzled with chipotle honey. It was a really great dish. The kitchen did a solid job with the fry on the chicken, and the gravy had a nice flavor. It leaned a little on the sweet side because of the honey, but it was not totally overdone. The real sleeper hit of the morning, though, was the side of cheesy grits. Those grits were absolute heaven. They were incredibly creamy and perfectly seasoned. If you go, you have to order them. Chestnut is in a great location, and despite the weak Bloody Mary, it was a stellar visit.
