Really cute ambiance upon coming in, but the food... THE FOOD. We got the limones burger & the short rib enchiladas and I think it's near impossible to pick which was better. The enchiladas held so much flavor and complexity -- my only qualm was that they only gave me two! I could've eaten at least 3 more. The burger -- I know what you're thinking.. why come to a place like this and get the burger, but I can guarantee you this burger supersedes most places that specialize in just burgers. To finish it off, we got the bread pudding and it was delectable. The bread pudding came with an insatiable caramel as well as a pumpkin spice ice cream. My only issue here was that the exterior was a little tough compared to the center. Would definitely look into getting the churros next time! Overall, great and kind service and I can't wait to come back and try more of this delicious menu.

Amazing service provided by Kacie, amazing recommendations provided by here for the restaurant and as well for tourists like us. She helped with everything. Provided amazing service and was truly polite. She is a professional at what she does. The food was great. It lacked to me what felt like some seasoning but I tore the food up still. The ambiance was great. Well lit but still dim at the same time. Quiet but busy.

Beef enchiladas drowning in a less than spectacular sauce. It was tasteless.

The food was very bland. Had the beef tip enchiladas , they were a huge disappointment. The lobster nachos were very average. No salsa on the nachos. The rice on the enchilada plate was hard and crunchy. Not a $25 dinner. No chips and salsa were offered. All around a less than satisfying meal.

Limones is one of our Top 5 restaurants in Asheville. It's tucked away on a small street off Broadway so many tourists don't know about it. We always sit at the bar and the margaritas and food are super good! The lobster nachos are a must and we usually start with a cucumber jalapeño margarita. The interior is contemporary industrial, but the food is 100% comfort.

As we often do when hitting a higher end restaurant, we wanted to sample as much of the menu as we could. So we order a bunch of small plates, and split an entree. I am pescatarian, so I can't speak to any of the carnivorous dishes, but if what we had was any indication, I think you'll be pretty happy. That said, here's how we found things: The space is incredibly welcoming, warmly lit, not too crowded. That said, it is usually very busy. And it is very loud in there. So loud that you can barely hear your tablemates speak, especially if there is a boisterous party next to you, which happened to us. So, a mixed bag on ambience. The space could do with some acoustic treatment on the walls and ceilings. Lots of hard surfaces there. Cocktails are very good to excellent. Many of them are served up, which is my preference. Sometimes there's an excess of ice not properly strained out of the cocktails, which kind of negate having them up. Ceviche is lovely. Masa tostadas as well. Had fish of the day on two occasions, and it was excellent both times. Overall, the food is very, very good, and the service is fairly quick. Staff is friendly and very competent. Sometimes when they get a little rushed, there might be a little delay, but they'll find you without excessive delays. Reservations are required if you want a table. But they usually seat you almost immediately. All in all,, a very, very good restaurant. I just wish it were a little less loud.

Sat at the bar, luckily there were 2 bartenders there as we were overlooked by one till the other stepped up. Not sure if they had split the bar in half but ill just think of it like that. Our first time here, ordered street corn and Avacado Tartare. The presentation of all the food was on point as was the taste. I do wish the street corn would have been off the cob as it is quite messy eating that in a restaurant. The tartare was good, but we also thought it would have been nice to be blended in with the Avacado. Next we ordered the Black Angus dish, that night it was a rib eye. Everything on the plate was delicious. Very much recommend. Also ordered the Pork Chop. That wasn't bad, not a lot of meat but the taste was good. I definitely think the Black Angus dish over-shadowed everything else we tried. It's a nice place and I would come here again for just that dish and to try a few other menu items.

Limones offers dishes inspired by Latin cuisine, but falls short on authenticity. The moody modern atmosphere and friendly service are inviting, yet the food lacks the traditional touch of genuine Mexican fare. For those seeking true Latin flavors, look elsewhere. However, if you enjoy Latin-inspired dishes with a creative twist, Limones may be up your alley. What would make this restaurant better is having the menu and information clearly state its Latin inspired vs stating its authentic Mexican food.

My husband and I had a delightful anniversary meal at Limones tonight. The staff, especially our server, KC, were welcoming and attentive. The drinks (margaritas and an old fashioned) were tasty and strong (in a good way). We had a tomato and feta appetizer, as well as, flautas that were delicious and generously portioned for two people. The short rib enchiladas was perhaps the favorite dish we had. Chile rellenos were just fine, but not as tasty as the other offerings. A decadent flourless chocolate torte rounded out the meal. It was just perfect with coffee. KC brought us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine which was a nice touch. She was a delight. Limones is and will continue to be a "go to" for special occasions!

Went in for a late dinner and sat at the bar. Blood orange Margarita was very tasty. Ordered the taquitas appetizer a the carne asada dinner. The Taquitas were crisp and the sauce was delicious. I could almost cut the steak with a fork.

Top end food and service. Great vibe for a Friday night dinner. We will be back soon.

Shoutout to Cassie for making a solo-dining experience at the bar welcoming. Excellent watermelon margarita and tuna special. Everything was fresh and the staff rocked. Great vibes.

I was grateful to be able to get a seat at the bar, with a less than 10 minute wait. It is honestly worth it! The staff was warm and welcoming, even with tending to loads of customers (this is a true skill and art). The ambiance is upbeat and lively! Imagine a roadside breakfast parlor. I sat at the bar and it was good vibes! The hostess used to live in my hometown (who woulda thunk it) & I met the coolest guy from Boston, who has a golden doodle named Nugget back home. Good vibes all the way, which added to a special experience. He was flying back home after his meal. Now, onto the food (the part you all have been patiently waiting for). I ordered a hibiscus tea as my beverage (warm and refreshing). I also ordered the carrot cake hotcakes, a side of bacon, and a side of home fries. The carrot hotcakes were luscious! They came with hazelnut butter, and amazing syrup!!! These hotcakes were savory and filling! The bacon had an essence of hickory! A perfect medley between crispy and tender! The home fries were seasoned nicely and I doused them with ketchup and hot sauce! This was an iconic and memorable restaurant experience for me! This is coming from someone who has dined in restaurants around the world! Cheers!

Coffee and water was brought quickly and our order was taken. I ordered pancakes, sausage, hash browns, and a biscuit. My wife ordered a kitchen sink type omelette minus the mushrooms. Service was fast and spot on with our order. The pancakes were hot and fluffy. Matter of fact, everything was hot and fresh and arrived in less than 7 minutes. Okay, so, this is not a knock or me saying the food wasn't good. It was average. To me, everything was pretty bland. First bite of hash browns I took, I tasted butter but by the end, just greasy. Again, that isn't a knock. I love breakfast diners like this for that reason. But, there really was very little flavor in any of my food. Pancakes were fluffy but nothing outstanding. Biscuit was good but again, nothing special. Sausage had the most flavor of anything I ate. My wife loved her omelette and commented on how packed it was with the ingredients. The service was very good and overall I enjoyed the food. Would I go back if I was going through Asheville again? Probably not. It was fine but nothing more than that.

It was elevated Southern cuisine, and we enjoyed it enough that we may go back before leaving the area. The restaurant has a comfortable feel -- upscale, but not stuffy. The service was excellent. The servers were personable and attentive without hovering. At one point, I accidentally dropped my napkin, and our server immediately brought me another one. Our water glasses were continually refilled, and our server checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner and I liked so many things on the menu that we knew ordering soup, salad, an appetizer, and entrées would be too much. We told our server we were sharing, and for most of the courses, they divided the portions and brought them out on separate plates. That was another small touch that showed they were paying attention to detail. There wasn't anything we had that we wouldn't order again. We started with the seasonal soup, which was a tomato bisque, followed by the strawberry and feta salad. The country ham board was excellent and actually had me looking for Lusty Monk mustard the next day. For our main entrée, we shared the shrimp and grits, which was also delicious.
