Wow Taco Billy is one of my favorite breakfast spot in West Asheville. The quaint spot hits all the markers for perfection. The breakfast tacos are amazing. The Migas is my FAV! So yummy! I prefer to order online. I walk right in and pick up the deliciousness. I would suggest doing this unless you prefer waiting, it seems as if there is always a line. Be sure to check out Taco Billy! read more

Taco Billy - Menu - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Asheville, North Carolina

Taco Billy was a delicious breakfast/lunch spot to hit. I got two tacos: the Migas and the Support Group. The Migas was delicious and filling, plenty of protein and veggies inside. I opted for a corn tortilla, but it quickly fell apart, so I'd recommend a flour tortilla for that one. The Support Group was good too - it was on the sweeter side because of the plantain tortilla, which was unique and fun to try, but I definitely have more a a savory tooth, so I would, again, opt for a flour tortilla in the future. All breakfast tacos come with a salsa, which I chose when I ordered, but they forgot to give it to me, and I didn't realize until I finished my meal so I didn't get to try it. The portions are pretty big - I could have gotten away with eating one taco rather than two since they were so filling and I wasn't too hungry. The service was quick and freshly-made. There were plenty of seats available on a Sunday morning. There is limited parking right in front of the building. They had some coffee, which I opted not to purchase, but good to know if you need a morning pick-me-up. My favorite part about the restaurant was all of the beautiful paintings on the wall with a hidden orange goat painted somewhere into them. I spent some time before I left looking for them in each picture, like Where's Waldo! read more

We dined here for breakfast tacos and I was not that impressed. I ordered the Migas taco and my husband ordered the Mama's Favorite and Billy Joel. We also tried the watermelon and pineapple agua frescas. My taco was difficult to eat and the fried cheese topping made it a tad dry. My husband liked both of his tacos. I'd definitely return to try their lunch/dinner tacos. read more

Service and ambiance worked out well. Due to having an extra empty stomach, I got three Mama's Favorites (eggs, sausage, spinach, sweet potatoes and goat cheese on a plantain tortilla). All three were phenomenal in flavor. Mama's Favorite? More like Luca's Favorite. read more

Thanks to local recommendation from Clayton at Asheville Jeep Tours. He told us to check out this place and we did for breakfast. Yes I said breakfast! We enjoyed a delicious plantain taco. The mama special had spinach and sweet potatoes in it and it was absolutely delicious very filling very flavorful highly recommend they have fresh greased orange juice. Coffee was good. Service was great. You can sit outside on the back deck in the sun. We'd love to come back and visit maybe for the night time and grab a margarita that's on our list next check this place out thanks Clayton for the recommendation. read more

Quick weekend visit to Asheville found us at Taco Billy for a late breakfast. We came here on recommendation of a local who we met at a brewery the day before. Nothing super special as far as curb appeal but definitely worth the trip to the outskirts of town. There were 4 or five breakfast tacos on the menu. My wife and I order two each and weren't disappointed. Tasty, overstuffed and unique. Order two! You may not be able to finish both but you have to taste a few options. Good beer selection for those who want a cocktail with breakfast. Nice casual dining and staff didn't rush us out the door. Check out the wall art for hidden goats. Kid friendly Off street parking Priced reasonably read more

Delicious breakfast tacos! We were looking for a quick, local breakfast spot and came across taco billy. We got lucky and came before the rush. We ordered the migas, billy ocean and bright and early. The migas was my favorite of the three. So flavorful and really delicious! We also got the pineapple agua Fresca as a drink which was so sweet and refreshing. Overall it was a great meal and a good start to our day! read more

we ordered this to go for lunch and i think that was our mistake. i believe this should be eaten as a dine in option bc the tortillas got pretty soggy and the tacos were falling apart. i really liked their typical ground beef taco and while i was excited to try some of their unique flavors, none really hit the spot for me! they were a decent size taco though with a good portion of meat! the inside was very busy but they got me my order really quickly! read more

Pricy. Cost me $30+ to get two tacos for me and 2 for my brother. No drinks. No extras. I went because of the hype. I'll prolly never go back because of the price. The staff was super kind. The taco selections were varied and novel. It's a counter service so it can get a bit crowded and busy. You have to find your own table etc. It's a standard restaurant ambiance. read more

Food is always delicious and employees are consistently polite and attentive. Premises are pretty clean as well.

A unique selection of tacos and drinks! We ate at Taco Billy and were excited to find out margaritas are only $5 on Thursday- that's a great deal. My tacos were generously portioned and two was plenty filling. I got the Support Group, which comes with sweet potatoes, spinach, black bean hummus and coconut crema. It's served on a plaintain shell, which was super delicious. I also got the Santi taco which had a kick too it and delicious flavor. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. We didn't have to wait long. Drinks are self service, as is cleaning off your table, but the staff was great at answering any questions we had. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Asheville. read more

Taco Billy came highly recommended but for us it didn't tac-to-me. We went for the breakfast tacos and was a bit underwhelmed with our choices. We tried 5 different types of tacos and as you can see in our pictures they seemed to be just an omelette thrown on top of a tortilla. Not much crafting or food artesian on display here. It was almost a haphazard idea of "let's throw ingredients together and place them on a tortilla and call it a taco". The best way to describe it was taco Tuesday made by white people. The flavor was decent, the sweet potato taco was an air ball but the sausage was pretty good. The salsa that came with it was the saving grace as we had landed on the Sahara desert or flavor, not a raindrop of spice in sight. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was kind. We enjoyed sitting there as people stormed the restaurant but were left very shocked and confused on why. read more

I love tacos. I love tacos so much. Taco Billy sells tacos and they sell delicious tacos. We came here because we wanted tacos and boy did we eat tacos when we arrived. They had a ton of seating and they had a lot of options. I wound up creating my own tacos. The 3 others with me all bought pre-designed tacos. All of us were very satisfied. The ingredients tasted fresh. The meat was sooooooo well seasoned. I'm so tired of bland meat. TB doesn't have that problem. It was a touch pricey, but right on the line of too pricey. It's easily going to be a place we visit the next time we're in Asheville. read more

Who doesn't love tacos? I know I love tacos and I loved these tacos! The meat in the Kirb Service was so so good, it melted in your mouth. A simple, but great taco. I wasn't too much of a fan of the Lunch Lady taco, but that one was mole flavored, so I will blame that one on me and not Taco Billy because the rest of the chicken tacos we tried were great! Now the drinks, I did deduct a star for because they were all liquor and a hint of flavor. I know some people appreciate that, but I am more of a flavor gal myself and the mostly tequila flavored margarita and ranch water was not me or my partner's jam. read more

This taco spot was spot on!! They serve breakfast and lunch tacos too. We came here from out of town and truly enjoyed the experience. You stand in a short line and order your meal at the front counter. When your meal is ready, they deliver your meal right to your table. There's plenty of free parking in front or on the street. We started with the Guacamole and chips ($8.95) which was a nice sized portion and had a perfect flavor and texture. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered "the Lunch Lady" which includes shredded chicken in Mole sauce topped with pickled onions and queso fresco on the tortilla of your choice. There's 3 types of tortillas: flour, corn or plantain (additional charge). The second taco I ordered was called "Bright and Early" which included eggs, spinach and queso fresco served with the salsa of your choice. Both tacos were delicious and more filling than expected. We look forward to coming back and definitely recommend it!! There's plenty of seating inside and outside. Beware of the horseflies outside though! read more

Legit Texas Tacos! I had the Grandberry on Flour; just cause I personally like a flour tortilla a little better than a corn tortilla, meat was tasty, guacamole and fresh veggies; a really great taco! We also had the queso; amazing! Margaritas awesome! They are not sweet; which I personally prefer, reminds me of Guerros margaritas on SoCo back in Austin. I have also had their breakfast tacos before and they are most delicious! Please treat yourself if you are visiting Asheville or are lucky enough to live here! read more

Yum! I happened upon this place while driving into Asheville. I ordered the Santi and the Little Sister tacos - both on the recommendation of the girl taking my order. My wife and I came to Taco Billy off a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed. A pro move is to pair a visit here with Hole Donuts, but like a bunch of rookies we missed Hole's open hours. Taco Billy has a nice selection of Tacos from Beef, Chicken, Veggie, and Pork. I ordered the Yard Bird and Lunch Lady. Both of these tacos were really good, but I think the Yard Bird is special. My wife ordered a Mamas Favorite breakfast taco. I had a bite and would definitely order that myself. The chips and guacamole are really good here too. We sat down out back to eat and it was really nice. I think they should add some corn hole. This place is worth a visit for breakfast or lunch. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite before touring the Biltmore. The wait staff are all rock stars and the ambiance is particularly quirky and fun (I.e., the classic paintings with goat cameos). Skip the regular salsa: be bold. I tried the avocado salsa, chipotle, and the jalapeño ranch. Both worth to outfit the top of a delectable taco experience. Their taco game is spot on: full of flavor and generous portion sizes, you will leave happy and heartily-fed. The plantain tortillas are dense, sweet, and a nice change of flavor-profiles. In short: you goata go here. read more

These tacos were out of this world. Some of the freshest, flavor packed, and unique offerings I've come across. I'm a taco fiend and these satisfied my craving x100. There was a group of 6 of us and the service was friendly & quick. I tried the San Cris pork taco (YUM + spicy). The guacamole was cold, chunky perfection that helped to cool down the spice. Definitely would recommend this place to any Taco Lover out there! For those vegan friends, they have plenty of options for them too! read more

Not impressed with the tacos here after reading so many good reviews. Very bland and unflavored. The ground beef looked as if it had been through a blender. I usually don't give such high of a rating for any restaurant buttttt, this was an unexpected hidden gem . Located in West Asheville NC. It was BOMB DOT COM. Looks like a small location but has plenty of room indoors and out in the back patio. The food is very interesting, but in a good way. I like that they serve breakfast all day... So I ordered their most ordered taco from the breakfast menu Here are the tacos in order from what I got.... 1. Mamas Favorite Plantain tortilla with egg cheese(goat I think), sweet potato and spinach. BOMB!!!! Sweet, juicy and flavor bomb. 2. Granberry Seasoned Ground Beef, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Jack Cheese, & Guacamole on a Soft-Fried Corn Tortilla. Not bad. Wouldn't order it again. Because it wasn't unique. Not enough flavor to want to eat more. 3. Yard Bird Corn Flake-Almond Crusted Fried Chicken Tender, Topped with Tangy Mango Slaw, & Sriracha Aioli on a Flour Tortilla. Another BOMB DOT COM!!!! Juicy chicken tender that is well seasoned. Sauce is savory. The greens on it make it feel fresh. If I live here I would be a regular. But I'm visiting so I'll remember to visit when ever I come back to Asheville. read more

My family absolutely loves Taco Billy! My go-to combo is the Santi, Mama's Favorite, San Cris, and Grandberry--all on the smashed plantain tortillas (the stuff of my dreams). All of the staff are cool and friendly, and it never takes more than ten minutes to get your food. The atmosphere is exciting and joyful, with fun art and a regular customer base you'll start to recognize after a few visits. I love when I find out that a friend hasn't been because it gives me the opportunity to treat and introduce them to this gem we're so fortunate to have. read more

I'm sad it took me so long to get to taco Billy, and I was afraid the time would make the hype grow too much to a disappointing visit, but this couldn't be further than the opposite. I LOVED my Taco Billy experience. They have vegan options, allow substitutions, have flour, corn, and plantain tortillas, and my favorite part - all day breakfast tacos, including build your own! While the plantain tacos weren't my thing, they're definitely something to try. Parking is VERY limited so carpooling is a must. There's a small lot in front (maybe 8 spots), other than that it's street parking during the week, but that's not easy to come by. Both indoor and outdoor seating, and a super friendly and attentive staff. Cant wait to go back. read more
