The Owner Nina, a well established woman who knows what she's doing, serves up a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. One of my favorites is the Avocado Toast (not plain ol'e avocado toast either) this is scrumptious!! A pecan waffle that knocks your socks off and biscuits that melt in your mouth.... Add great attentive service in a cute, well kept and clean establishment makes this place an A+ for my family! When we're in the area, we're stopping by!

The day I come for my first visit, it is jammed packed. That shows this place is worth eating at. We signed up for reservation. We waited 7 minutes then had to wait 10 more minutes. We were finally seated and could order. Our hostess was fantastic. I ordered the 2 buttermilk pancakes, with scramble eggs and bacon. It was labeled as Cowgirl on the menu. The atmosphere here is casual ambiance. It has a family friendly vibe that goes well with the food.

This place is always packed so I figured I'll give them a second try as I was pregnant the first time and couldn't stand the smell. The service is great here when it's not packed. The latte was sub-par, nothing fancy. But the food was just tasteless, a little bit of salt and pepper goes a long way when you add it to food and from the first bite of my hash brown, I just knew the rest was going to be mad and it was. It was as if the cooks in back just took it the bag and put it on the griddle. The pancakes were a little bit undercooked. Giving that I will not be back but everyone has different taste buds, so definitely give it a try and judge for yourself.

The waffles are impressively large, but unfortunately they lack flavor. Because of their size, they soak up all the syrup, which isn't very good on its own, leaving the waffle soggy and bland overall. The bacon, however, was solid - it's hard to go wrong there.

The experience here was remarkable, starting with the option to waitlist before arrival because who likes to wait? We arrived after receiving a 5 min warning (the time moved really fast which speaks to how well they run the operation) Sat, ordered and everything was simply amazing Will definitely be back. Sam was amazing she was very attentive. I will Definitely be back. The biscuit and preserve that was recommended was a hit!

Very crowded spot, told the wait was 1hr 10min, we stayed because we'd made the trip from Gran Prairie due to recommendation from friends in Heartland. The wait ended up being 1hr 45min, we were told by Nina(the owner) it was due to a Chef out with a medical emergency? I ordered *Breakfast Chorizo burrito w/fruit instead of hash browns. Beware, It's smaller than most restaurant burritos and unfortunately the Chorizo was tasteless, no spices, no flavor, although had the delicious orange grease chorizo should, don't know what happened. Eggs in it were cooked nicely. Was the Chef that was out the one who knows how to make Chorizo delicious? Don't know. *Waffle w/ fruit looked and tasted delicious. *Scramble bowl w/ country gravy and biscuits looked and tasted delicious. *Loaded hash browns were delicious.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch experience at this establishment. The stuffed French toast was 10/10. I'm so upset that I could not finish it all in one sitting. The service here is great! Nina greeted us at the door with a very warm introduction and made us feel so close and welcomed. Our server, Star, was awesome! She is such a sweet person. We visited the first Saturday of their opening! We've been waiting for a mimosa brunch spot here in Forney!! This place was sooo amazing! We waited about an hour but our food came out soo fast, I mean within 10 minutes fast! My husband had the Cowboy Burger. When I seen his come out, I wanted that too ..lol. I had the Belgian waffle with sides. When I say the best waffle I had , it was!! The sunset mimosa was so good! The owner, Nina checked in and made sure we enjoyed it! First time:: Nice inside area. Staff and service was good. Great "Lite Bites" selection. Food was delicious. However, limited veggie/non-meat options. If I could give less than 1 star I would.....it's average at best and the wait to be seated is ridiculous even after you do call ahead or online waitlist. Definitely not worth the time I waited. Don't go hungry or you will starve waiting!!!! read more

Painfully Average, there is nothing on this menu you can't buy or eat everywhere else. They rave about how fresh and never frozen their food is, but I know for a facts most of my meal was once frozen, I can tasted canned corn beef hash anywhere. Over priced for eggs and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. There seems to be zero management here, and yet random workers check on your table every 30 seconds. I couldn't even enjoy my meal because someone was asking me how my boxes apple juice was every sip. Please so cool in his dirty "chef" coat was patrolling the restaurant, very unappetizing. Not sure if maybe he's a kitchen manager or what, but nobody in the dinner room wants to see that. Plus he was yelling at worker as he was walking around the kitchen, I highly suggest staying clear from this place. Go to whataburger rather. If I could leave it zero stars I would. read more

Love this place. Went this morning for the 1st time after living in Forney for almost a year. I had the classic eggs Benedict and it was on point! Hollandaise sauce was really really thick, perfectly poached egg, good Canadian bacon and perfectly toasted English muffin. My wife had the Breakfast burrito with chorizo and she loved it. Good portion sizes, fresh coffee, friendly staff. What more could you want! read more

UPDATE: I got a response on Facebook in less than 20 minutes of my post. They looked into the problem, fixed it immediately and apologized. I appreciate their honesty and grace addressing the situation! We checked in at Nina's at 9:54 in person and we were told 45 minutes. We didn't mind, it was early and we were excited to try somewhere new. After about 30 minutes the app said there were 32 people ahead of us, so my husband went in to ask since we assumed it was a glitch. The young lady at the front then told him it was a 2 hour wait for us. I went in and the same lady told me she didn't know who told him that (she did) but it would be 15 minutes. So after 15 minutes we checked again and there were 20-30 people ahead of us. When I asked how that could happen they said people who called in or checked in on the app got put on the list ahead of us. We decided to leave and I will not be back. Unprofessional, frustrating and poorly organized. I would suggest the Denny's on 20 before going here, maybe not a fancy brunch location but WONDERFUL service. read more

I think the sauce was thicker than I expected and a bit overwhelming. The table seemed to have an enjoyed their meals and everything looked delicious. Because of that, it may be worth coming back.

And if you're worried about gluten free options, do note that many of the stuff put out as gluten free has either been labeled incorrectly or has cross contamination (I have seen them touching other baked goods that were not GF). The service is friendly, but has certainly gotten slower which I don't usually mind since I'm sitting there for a while anyway. It's a cool place to sit and chat with a patio, too!

Nina's Brunch used to be a family favorite--a place we could count on for quality food, generous portions, and great memories. Unfortunately, it feels like things have taken a turn over the years under the same management. Smaller portions and noticeable declines in food quality have made it hard to justify the same enthusiasm we once had for this spot. We have noticed a lack of cleanliness as well over the past few visits. Food: - Chicken Fried Chicken (4/10): This dish was a disappointment. The portion size was noticeably smaller than what we were used to, and the quality just wasn't there. The breading lacked the crunch and flavor that makes chicken fried chicken so satisfying, and the chicken itself was dry and underwhelming. It felt like a rushed effort, far from the hearty, comforting dish we remember. - Avocado Toast (4/10): Another letdown. While avocado toast is a simple dish, it still requires attention to detail to stand out, and this one didn't deliver. The bread was lackluster, and the avocado spread was bland and missing the freshness you'd expect. Overall: It's disheartening to see a place that once held so much promise and family tradition fall into mediocrity. While we understand that restaurants evolve and become oversaturated, it feels like Nina's Brunch has prioritized cutting costs over maintaining the quality and experience that made it special. I want to preface this by saying that I never go out of my way to write a review unless it's significant and even then the task gets washed way by more pertinent things to do in my day. I even set an alarm for me not to forget. I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed by the service at his hole-in-the-wall brunch place. It was very busy when we arrived and the venue itself is small, so naturally, I was skeptical when the hostess said it was a 30 minute wait. 30 minutes on the dot we got the text. Nice. We were greeted by our server, Michael, next who took our entire order. He had maybe about 4 or more other tables besides ourselves, and he worked all of them with conviction and intention. Our drinks came out in a flash, and I was a mere two sips in before our yummy food followed. I got a perfectly battered country fried steak, over medium eggs cooked to perfection and side of juicy, sweet fruit. The wait times were impressive enough but what really got me was the unobtrusive and mindful service. I never expect above average service at restaurants with average price marks, so when our silver was remarked for desert and my water, coffee and rose were placed to my right in the order of price I was quite impressed. 11/10. 6 stars out of 5. Golden buzzer. Can't wait to dine here again. read more

Where to start. Nina is absolutely amazing. She is always so sweet to my family and treats us as her own family. I enjoy the warm hug and smile when I walk in. The service is always quick even during busy times. I am very impressed how fast they are able to serve a great meal and keep the line moving. The hostess (I think) is always nice and constantly checking the iPad wait times. I appreciate the fact they provide very accurate times he does a great job. The wait staff has always been friendly to us. They even remember us from coming so often. Very attentive and they keep that coffee flowing. Great selection on breakfast items. My buddy loves the meat lovers omelette and raves about how much meat is put into it. The strawberries, whipped cream, and French toast is a go to for sure. Most places give you one or 2 strawberries, Nina's gives you ample to complete your meal. I like the fact that prices are great for the amount of food received. If you are ever looking for a good hearty burger they have that too. Would highly recommend Nina's to anyone. Nina is absolutely amazing along with her staff and hostess team. read more

10/10 recommend! We had the best server - ask for STAR W! She was so cool, and what's crazy is she has the same name as my sister, lol.
