I had used NimNim for a period of time and I had several coats, 2 pairs of shoes, and 2 hats this time. It was sent to NimNim on February and they returned it on March. And my shoes and hats disappeared then. I have waited patiently to see if those takes longer time, however, they did not send me anything until April. I emailed them and they replied the 1st email and did not response anymore. So I called them and a man picked up the phone and said he found my stuffs. He said it was stored separately and those should take longer time, and it will be returned on Friday, 12th. Then he hang out the phone call without apologizing. I had nothing on Friday so I called them again. Another women picked up the phone call and said she would call me back later on night. Also, nobody called me back anymore. I called the 3rd time, and the man picked up the phone again and said it should be cleaned up by 18th. I told him that it had been 2 months. He asked what I wanted and I told him that I wanted my stuff back. I would like to say the only thing they cared is if they can earn. Even thought they acted in one way, actually they performed another way. Just like they never called me back and tried to shirk. Do not listen to what they said, look at what they do. No matter what they will respond, I will not trust them anymore and I think if any of you does not want to have the same issue with them, did not take them. I really wanted to like Nim Nim but the quality of their service was way below my expectations. When I use a 24 hour service I expect a 24 hour turn around on my order. They came to pick up my order on time, which consisted of bedding- a sheet set and a comforter and blanket. I selected only the laundry option- they did not have pricing listed for comforters, blankets, etc. I got the email to pay after it was complete and was shocked to see how much they charged me. They charged me to dry clean both the comforter and blanket at $45, then the standard $1.59 a pound for the sheet set. Then I waited for them to deliver at the set time before I left for work. I had to call them after 35 minutes and they told me they had a high volume that day and weren't able to deliver it until the afternoon. Didn't check in with me before and didn't seemed phased by the fact that it wasn't on time. I had to come all the way home after several meetings to meet them and they were an hour late after the arrival time. I had to cancel another meeting at work that I wasn't back on time for while I was waiting for them. For the amount they charged me and the fact that it wasn't 24 hours, I would have been better using Washio. I really wanted to support a local business but I can't have my day ruined and be charged prices I was unaware of for the sake of supporting a local business. I would be very hesitant to use them again or recommend them to a friend or coworker after this experience. read more

I would not recommend Nim Nim because of unreliable service, lack of communication and lack of proficiency in cleaning clothes. My laundry drop off was promised within 24 hours and was not delivered. I was given a new drop off time which was also missed. When my laundry finally arrived, about 10 items were ruined with residue stains. A brand new pair of white shorts were tinted pink and also covered in residue stains. It has been almost a week and this issue is not resolved. I have to constantly follow up regarding the status of my order resolution because Nim Nim does not keep me proactively informed. read more

I have been using NimNim since January 2015 and have used the service about every other month. Like other previous reviewers, I was a huge fan, especially since they are one of the few laundry delivery services that picks up and drops off to East Boston. Their ability to clean clothes and remove stains is remarkable. However, their communication and service leaves much to be desired. While there is a main phone number, you can expect to receive texts from employees at random phone numbers, so be sure to make sure you are contacting the right number to check the status of your order. You will not be informed if they will be late, either with pick up or drop off. Today after they were 2 hours late with my order drop off and I did not receive any notice that the order would be late I reached out to them. After I contacted NimNim, I was informed that my order would be an additional 45 minutes late. This reactive type of communication has, sadly, become the norm. Once they finally arrived with 3 large bags, there was no apology for the lateness, no explanation, and the drop off person would not help me carry the bags up the stairs, even after I asked for help. I used NimNim for a year to launder the sheets for my private massage therapy practice. The sheets are the most integral aspect of my business. I had many issues with NimNim. I'd often not get a notification about pickup or drop off, therefore leaving me to wonder what happened (as I have to schedule it when I'm not there). They would come outside of the one hour pick up window. The app would often not work. However, despite all that, I would not leave a review if not for the horrible treatment I received from them recently. I recently moved offices and updated my address in the app. Then I went to place an order and the app was not working. I called in and placed an order manually via text message on a Wednesday and they came to pick it up at my new office. Because the order was placed manually via text, they were not using my account data for the order. I had told them the new address, which again, they managed to come to to pick up the sheets--proof that they had my new address. You can schedule delivery for 2 days later, which is what I did (Friday). They never came. I called and asked about them-- I was told they'd figure it out and get them back to me the following Monday. They never came. No communication. I called again and they said they might have delivered them to my old office and that they'd send someone over that night and get them to me the next day. They never came. The owner whose number I have and uses as the official NimNim number at times refused to answer texts, stopped taking my calls, and didn't respond to two voicemails asking to please tell me where my sheets were. I sent an email through their website, texted the driver who had picked it up. No response. So knowing they likely did drop it off at my old office and desperately needing my sheets for my job, I went, found them, and picked them up myself. I do not work there anymore. I do not rent there anymore. I shouldn't have to be going to a place that is not mine to lug a heavy bag of sheets into my truck and drive it to my new office. But that's what I had to do. I still haven't heard back from NimNim, so if the sheets had gone anywhere else, I'd likely never see them again. What I truly don't understand is how you could be so disrespectful to any customer of your business. If you make a mistake, that's on you. That's on you to fix IMMEDIATELY, not just when you maybe feel like it if you ever decide you feel like it, which is exactly how they acted. My old office and new office are on the same street about 10 yards away from each other. They decided to shut me out -- cool. I never leave bad reviews or Yelp reviews in general. And now I'm going to take my sheets home despite the hassle of it because I'm not doing business with them anymore, which I don't even know how I could when they refuse to speak to me. And for the record, I was not rude or aggressive-- I was so ridiculously patient and understanding that maybe I was too much so. Honestly this is one of the most unreal business experiences I've ever had. And even though things were ok enough for the year before that, that doesn't excuse this behavior. read more

I have had positive and negative experiences with NimNim. They were wonderful in the beginning but I feel they have begun to slack a little. They used to pick up my clothes at the exact time I requested and would even send me a text when they were coming. This doesnt happen anymore. My clothes are no longer coming back in the timely manner that they used to. Also, their "menu" of things they can dry clean and the prices do not match with their actual app which is very frustrating. For example, on their pricing they have listed a "suit jacket or blazer" for $10, yet when you place an order for dry cleaning, that option is not available. Also just because you wear two garments together as a suit, NimNim charges you asa pair of pants and a jacket which ends up being a lot more then their 2 pc suit offer of $15. I do like their customer service who get back to you in a very timely manner. They have been helpful. read more

Horrible service and very unethical. I sent my winter jacket for dry cleaning since it has duck down in it. Nimnim charged me with the dry cleaning charge, but guess what?!?! They lied, and they water washed my jacket! My winter jacket is an expensive investment for me for this cold New England weather. But Nimnim just completely ruined my jacket. All the duck down furs are all messed up, and the jacket smells so horrible! My jacket was completely ruined!!! I emailed them and asked them, and they said they would investigate. It has been a whole month since they picked up, and they never send follow-ups. And when I email them again, they were asking me to drop my jack off for investigation! I sent my ruined jacket like a month ago, and they don't even remember they picked it up. I strongly recommend people stop using this unethical company which they lie to their clients, and so not organized! read more

I wanted to love NimNim so bad- the idea is great (app-based dry cleaning orders that are picked up and dropped off from your home the next day), but in real life it has a lot of problems. It only took 3 orders until they lost something of mine, which took them several days to find and when they did it looked like it hadn't been dry cleaned. I of course had to spend a lot of time trying to get ahold of them (none of the contact information they provide gets you to an actual person), and then coordinating the retrieval, which itself was a day later than they promised. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and placed another order. This time everything came back, but on my dress slacks they did not press them along the crease line, so the pants have two creases in the front running parallel (on 3 pairs). Obviously unusable unless I want to look like a clown at work, so I will have to get them re-pressed elsewhere. read more

My experience with Nimnim is similar to many of the other reviewers - they are nice, offer competitive pricing, and the app is convenient, but they are unreliable and untimely. In the beginning, I was taken aback when they missed the pickup/dropoff windows, which I had planned my day around. I called and the manager told me that the time I selected was impossible because they don't have drivers staffed during that time (So why is it on the selection menu, then confirmed?) Nonetheless, they apologetically offered to work with me on timing for future. Never once did they adhere to the agreed timing and continued to be late/unpredictable. After many chances, it just wasn't worth it to derail my days waiting around for them. I also had some issues with billing, where they would bill weeks after the fact or charge certain items as dry cleaning, when I'd only requested laundry. I dropped my husband's shirt off on Friday and it didn't arrive back until late Sunday. (So much for 24 hour turnaround. It clearly states on the confirmation email that it would be back by 8pm Sat.) It was left at our concierges. My husband picked up shirt at 8am this morning. This is a new shirt and went out with no stains. It came back with a black smudge stain on the front of the shirt. Not happy at all. Hoping his tie will hide the stain since he had no choice but to wear it for several high level executive meetings today. I know others that have had issues with this company. Do not use them. They overcharge, do not deliver what they promise and are unreliable. I am not even going to bother to try and have this fixed. I don't need the headache. My experience with NimNim started out great. They picked up within an hour and dropped off with 24 hours. Them they started dropping off late, even a day or two late in addition to picking up late. But, the main reason for the one star is that they ruined 4 white shirts and one was new. After back and forth via text (you cannot reach them by phone) they agreed to give me a credit for the new shirt only. That would mean I would have to continue using them. No thank you! I sent over 30 lbs for wash and fold and just one single blouse for dry cleaning. My wash and fold was perfect and was dropped off in a timely manner. The dry cleaning was supposed to be dropped off the following morning. Unfortunately it was lost. I contacted Nim Nim and Nimish helped me out. After looking for it he confirming that they had indeed lost it. At first I was very mad but the customer service that Nimish provided was more than excellent. He replaced my blouse! When this has happened with other dry cleanings they told me that they could not do anything for me but Nimish was always looking for a way to fix things. I've had consistent issues with NimNim. They frequently miss pickup and drop off windows. On one occasion they forgot to put my order in the delivery car, and my order was delayed. On another occasion, my order was delayed that included a shoe shine. I was assured after the first missed delivery day that I would have my shoes the next day for a meeting I had, but again NimNim missed the mark. They had my shoes in their possession for almost 72 hours before I got them back. I cannot stress enough what a headache my experiences with NimNim have been.
