I was here for a Yelp event and returned with my wife a week later. This place is great albeit on the pricy side. The staff is so welcoming and warm and the food is fresh and delicious. Almost everything is made in house including the chutneys which are delicious. The chai is the best I've ever had.

Nice ambience and tasty street food. Ordered a chat item and dessert item Togo and they were both really good.

Limited menu at the moment, but we are super excited for when they have a bigger dinner menu and especially brunch.

We would have been grateful enough for a warm restaurant and decent food, but I certainly didn't expect to find my favorite Indian food in New Jersey here (I know that's a big claim; it was just that good). Let's address the elephant in the room here: sometimes Indian food doesn't look camera-ready. For instance, my absolute favorite thing here was the chana palak, an extremely flavor-packed curry with chickpeas and spinach. What shows up (regretfully) as a greenish mud in pictures is actually an absolute flavor bomb in the mouth. Truly, I still have dreams about this dish. If looks matter to you, I also highly recommend the salmon tandoori special. It arrived on a sizzling platter (the kind that makes heads turn and eyes lock as it approaches the lucky table). There was more flavor to be had here, and I adore a dish that's hot enough to carry a blister risk while eating...especially in the middle of an icy snowstorm. Service was incredibly warm, welcoming, and efficient. Our server checked in with us the exact right number of times, and he repeatedly asked about whether we wanted to take leftovers home, the way a friend or kind auntie might after you've dined sumptuously at her table.

I am now writing this about to dig back in to what was a great meal. If you're in the Princeton area, Dvaraka should definitely be on your must-visit list.

The owner appeared to spend much of the evening drinking and talking, which often interrupted the flow of the karaoke program and reduced opportunities for others to sing. I also felt that personal boundaries were not always respected, and some interactions with female guests appeared overly familiar, like touching females. During the recent month karaoke the owner hugged a female in the most embarrassing awkward way, in the pretext of asking sorry, that she had to struggle to get of. He keeps hugging every female for some reasons. High time he stops misusing his event. Do not touch a female unnecessarily. A karaoke event should be welcoming and respectful for everyone present. A little more professionalism, decorum, and consideration for participants would go a long way toward improving the experience. If you organize an event, it should primarily be for the enjoyment of the guests, not for yourself.

The inside is small but there are plenty of seats to go with your family and enjoy a meal. The service is relatively fast and the guys behind the counter are super nice. We came on Wednesday evening during Dosa night hours so they had half off on dosa, and man the dosa was delicious. Pro tip: ask for Pua (bread) on the side with your dosa. That is a game changer. The chaats were a bit expensive but their flavor and presentation fast make up for it. This spot has become my new favorite to enjoy chaat! If you're ever in the area shopping at Costco, and crave chaat or dosa. Definitely walk on over to Indian Hut.

We ordered from Indian Hut through GrubHub on one of those nights when nobody wanted to cook and hapiness seemed balanced entirely on whether or not naan would arrive warm. My wife got butter chicken because some people discover a thing they love and wisely refuse to gamble with happiness. It was genuinely good. Rich, comforting, sweet in the proper way. The sort of dish that makes you sit quietly for a moment and forgive the world for inventing email. I ordered the malai kofta. The sauce was lovely, silky and fragrant, but the kofta itself had the texture of damp gravel held together by optimism. Gritty and loosely packed. Every bite felt like it had been assembled during a minor labor dispute. Then came the revelation that neither entrée included rice, it was an add on. This struck me as somewhat unsettling. Serving Indian curries without rice feels like giving someone a violin without strings. Yes, technically the object exists, but now everybody is sad and confused. The naan also didn't rescue the evening. It emerged from it's foil cocoon gummy and tired, like it had already lived a long and difficult life before reaching our doorstep. The tragedy here is geographic. Lawrenceville and the surrounding area are overflowing with excellent Indian restaurants. Places where the spices sing hymns and the bread seems blessed by small and benevolent gods. Against that competition, this meal just sort of sat there under the kitchen light wondering what happened. Not terrible. Not memorable. Just one more delivery bag entering the great American night.

The gentleman at the counter who received us was kind enough to bring over a cake with a candle, as it was my birthday and that with a mango juice we requested outside of the menu for our 2 yr old were both covered on the house. Now when it comes to the food, we ordered a Gobi Manchurian, Baingan Bharta with Naan and a plate of vegetable biryani. The Manchurian was cold and lacked salt that I had to request to have rest of the order served hot which was taken care. The place was a bit hard to find at first because I think they still had their old restaurant name up... The inside is fairly romantic and dimly lit, with tables along both walls and a row in-between. I was really excited for the dosas on the menu because I haven't had them in a while, but our server said they don't serve/were not serving dosas. Didn't even get an explanation. We ended up getting the fried appetizer platter, cauliflower paratha, palak paneer, lamb curry, lamb pasanda, and a mango lassi. The fried appetizer platter had an assortment of samosas, veggie pakoras, etc. I thought it was pretty good, especially the samosas. Cauliflower paratha was very oily. Palak paneer was completely off; I've ordered palak paneer from dozens of Indian restaurants, and this just did not taste like what it was supposed to. The lamb curry was alright; the lamb pasanda was much better. Some of the food here is good, and others aren't, so it's a bit of a risk if you're willing to take it. Cool bowls though. The samosa was dry and flavorless. I paid for the pair, asked one to be wrapped up and it vanished never to return. Guess they'll reheat it and sell it the next chap. I asked that to be wrapped up and the next server refused. So he grabbed the warm skillet handle to push it towards me as if to ensure I understood my job. He didn't burn himself. I suggested he try again. So I dustily speared the dry chicken chunks and plopped them in the cheap styrofoam container he'd throw on the table then threw the stale cold rice on top. Voila.
