I had collision work done here. It took them over a month to complete the work. When I questioned them regarding the time frame, I just received excuses and a bad attitude. They finally completed the work. Like an idiot, I took my car back there for regular work. I thought I'd give them another chance. ... Mistake. "Fool me once". My car just sat there for over a week. Today, I called in to ask if I could get a free estimate on a small body damage and I was told that I would be called back in 5 minutes. As I waited, I drove to this location and parked next to it for 20 minutes. Since I got no call back I decided to call and he told me to continue waiting so I told him that I was outside and to please take a quick look. He said okay so I stepped outside the vehicle to expect him and suddenly called me back and while he was giggling he said "I was just informed that they don't do no free estimates." I found out about Nik from Jose, the guy who came to tow my car after an accident. The place that the insurance picked for the car was closed so they would take it there the next morning. Well that place couldn't do the work until August. The accident was on June 10. By the time estimates were approved etc Nik and his team made the car look brand new. When we got it back there were a few things that still needed completion. They took the car back the next day and it was completed in a week. The car looks amazing and drives better than it ever did before. He dealt with the insurance company and answered questions that the insurance should have but couldn't. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. Nik was honest, upfront and courteous every time we spoke. I will recommend Niks anytime someone needs body work. In March-May of 2018, I brought my vehicle that was involved in a fender-bender to Nik's Collision for repair. The owner of the shop assured me that they would use all Honda parts for repair and the car would be restored to 100%. This repair was performed through a claim with State Farm. After the shop repaired the car for the first time, I noticed that the AC was not working on my drive home from the shop. I brought the car back the following day and was informed that they had issues with fixing the AC. The shop took an additional 2 weeks to fix the AC. Fast forward to February 2019, I needed a minor repair on the radiator support on the same vehicle. I brought my vehicle to a Select Service Repair Shop for State Farm in Janesville, WI. Upon inspecting the vehicle and the previous repair by Nik's Collision, here is what was said in the report: "Once we removed the front bumper we noticed the vehicle had been repaired prior and the lower frame rails are not in the correct position. They appear to be down & to the right. The front bumper bar is missing half of the bolts and a couple of holes on the left have been reamed out in order to get the bolt thru the bar and into the bent frame rail. All the headlamps lower hardware is missing, cannot get them in because replacement radiator support is not in the correct location due to bent frame rails. The wheel base measured off as it appears the right front suspension is back. Both front suspension parts are marked up as if they were identified as damaged in the estimating process but never replaced. Much of the hardware throughout the front end are not Honda factory hardware. Most appears to be used GM hardware. The paint quality on the front end of the vehicle is terrible. Right fender is not in the correct location again based on the frame rails being off and radiator support being off. [We have] deemed this vehicle unsafe to drive based on the previous repair." In short, use their service at your own risk. I would strongly suggest you take your car that was serviced here to the dealership for inspection as it might well be unsafe to drive. If I did not bring my car in to get looked at, I wouldn't have known of the lies and deceit that was promised to me by Nik's Collision. It is very sad that a business would operate in this way to consumers and abuse insurances in such a way. I have personally filed a complaint through the BBB and suggest you all to do the same. read more

My car was hit while it was parked on the Main Street. Luckily a tow truck drove by and handed me a flyer along with a free $500 deductible fee. I did not have to pay for the deductible, at first I did not believe it was true. Until I called and spoken with Victor. Victor was friendly and professional and he was being for'real about not having to pay the deductible. He understood my hardship during these hard times. Unfortunately I have to write what a horrible experience I had with this body shop. They were very unethical. I took my vehicle to get it repaired due to a car accident I had. When I arrived I spoke to José, according to him he was the manager, therefore I spoke to him directly of what needed to be repaired. Jose assured that what I requested will be done and that he will deal with the insurance. Not only did they keep my car for three weeks but they didn't complete what I was promised. After seeing my car outside their shop for three weeks I decide to pick it up. I was very upset when they handed me my car keys. They never gave me an estimate of what I owed them. A week later Eddy who I never spoke to nor met before, called me stating I owed them money n I had to pay back. I personally told him I will go to the shop and pay. He then arrived to my home with two tow trucks saying I had stolen my own vehicle from their shop. I believe there was no need for him to go to my home and alert my family. According to him he was the manager and I should have spoken to him in the first place not Jose. What I learned from my experience is never sign paperwork nor allowed them to deal directly with your insurance. If so make sure every single thing you are promised is on the contract. Never again will I go to this shop nor recommend any family/friends here. read more

If I could rate a zero I would, the service was definitely not satisfactory. I know sometimes it takes longer to fix certain things but good service is communication with the customer . I left the car with the place with it fairly clean inside when I got it back there was burn hole in the leather seat . Second was my driver seat didn't work anymore , I don't know how heavy a person needs to be to completely break the automatic seats but that was a shock as well. To top it off I had a few belongings in the trunk which I placed in there right before pulling it in front , when I got the car back all of it was gone , when I confronted them about it they said there was nothing in the trunk which was mind blowing . I will say they do have someone if not multiple people that have "stinky fingers" . I don't recommend this place unless you really really HAVE too. read more

Made her promises so she wouldn't take it to her insurance mechanics no storage fee EVERYDAY she called and they said the same thing. They wouldn't give tax ID for insurance....hmmm. So her insurance company was going to pick it up and they refused to hand over keys NOW they wanted 2,250 for storage when her car was parked in the front and she asked for what? Their response "we cleaned it" WHAT???. My mother had damage to her vehicle because she had a medical problem when driving with high blood pressure they could've killed her or gave her a heart attack she was in such distraught! We went to Niks for a qoute and thankfully they give me a good discount. With just four days of working on the car I was amazed with the result and was very happy with the quality service I got. I had literally just parked when 30 seconds later, a car coming out of a driveway made an incredibly uncalculated turn and scraped my bumper. His car was fine, mine had a decent sized area with paint scraped off. I wanted to find a place walking distance from my apartment and discovered Nik's through Yelp. Let me just say that from the moment I entered to when I picked up my car a few hours ago, the process was astonishingly smooth. I worked primarily with Victor, who called the other guy's insurance for me and got the claim started. I had never done this before and Nik's was accustomed to filing claims, so Victor knew exactly what to do. I had to submit photos of the damage before receiving an estimate so when I went to Nik's immediately after getting hit, Victor essentially helped me file a claim without the assurance that I would even come back to his shop when I did get the estimate. After I received my quote, I of course wanted to go back to Nik's. Victor and I settled on a day to bring the car in, he told me when it would be ready by and two days later I was called, just as promised. I picked up the car this morning and was beyond pleased. He not only took care of the damage the other car had done, but patched up the minor scratches and chips I had throughout the bumper because, you know, it's a bumper. It honestly looks like a new car. He also detailed it, washing and cleaning up the dusty, leafy mess inside. I would give them 5 stars for their communication and service alone, but they decided to go beyond what was required and I appreciate that immensely and commend them on their exceptional customer service. Not to mention there is a lifetime warranty on the work they did. No one wants to deal with a car accident, it's stressful and a hassle. Victor and his team at Nik's were incredibly polite and professional, both on the phone and in person. Even though the other guy's insurance took care of this, it's important as a woman to not feel like you're being taken advantage of or talked down to, which can happen in male dominated workplaces like auto repair shops. Nik's never made me feel like that. They put me at ease and definitely made the process of dealing with insurance easier. If they did oil changes and patched up tires and all that maintenance business, I'd go to them for that, too. I sincerely cannot recommend them enough. read more

Too expensive for their quality of work. Brought in my car to fix a few scratches on the rear bumper and they sold me with their top of the line paint matching system. I left the car there and picked it up a few hours later. They said my car was finished, but when we went to go check the work i was devastated. The clear coat had dripped and my car has lots of other scratches someone did to the paint around the area where it was supposed to be fixed. They told me they don't know what happened and to bring the car in tomorrow but that he would require full payment on the spot. I brought my car in the next morning so they can fix that terrible work they did. Now its "fixed" but the paint does not match and you can see a border where the new paint and old paint separate. Didn't want to deal with them anymore so i just took my car payed the man and left. Wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Got into an accident a year ago and a scam tow truck driver claimed to be the company I called. That driver (from Exotic Towing) took me to this place. The way the tow truck scams usually work is that they get you to sign over your car and refuse to give it back before you pay a couple hundred dollars. Luckily I didn't sign anything and there was a cop already outside the shop. I was able to get my car back without paying anything. They were clearly in on this scam. So they get the 1 star by association. Always double check that your tow truck is the right company!!! read more

This review is long overdue considering the amazing work by Nik's Collision. These guys worked on my car a few months ago and their precision is impeccable. I was really concerned at first considering the damage and the amount of sensors on my car, but after a few months of test driving I have had absolutely zero issues and zero warning lights. The paint job is also beyond belief; it completely matched which is always a concern. You would never know that the vehicle was previously damaged. They went above and beyond to ensure that their service was five star. They even drove me to the airport to get a rental which is something I'm sure is difficult, if not impossible, to find elsewhere. If I could give Nik's more than 5 stars I would. One of the most professional and accommodating businesses I've ever used for anything! I was T-boned on Pulaski right by my own home. I was obviously incredibly shaken up and upset as the accident wasn't my fault. One of Nik's employees actually saw the accident and quickly ran over to make sure I was ok. He helped calm me down and assured me that even though my car wasn't drivable, we could get it off the street quickly and if I didn't have a body shop in mind perhaps I would consider Nik's as they work with my insurance. It was my first accident so I was very flustered and I was very appreciative to have him there. While the police filed a report, Nik's employees hooked up the car to the tow truck and we were out of there within 30 minutes. When we arrived at the shop they talked us through the process and even called my insurance company to get the ball rolling. Within another 30 minutes we were out the door. My accident happened a few days before Christmas so I was worried I would be without a car for quite a while over the holidays. Not only did they have it ready before the time quoted by my insurance company, they went far above and beyond! My car looks brand new! They even took out all the extra knicks and dents from parking in Chicago just because I'm a neighbor and it's Christmas! They definitely know how to take care of their community. I barely even talked to my insurance company, they did all the dirty work so I didn't have to get stressed out about it. I recommend them to everyone and anyone, even if you just need a tow! I was also referred to this place by Jose when he came to tow my car. I originally am not from the state so I had just asked my insurance to find me a place near my home. Jose recommend this spot and told me to check it out as it was close to where my accident was but if I didn't like it we could go to my original spot. I don't regret me coming here at all. I can't say just one name because everyone I came across and spoke to were super nice and helpful. They really took care of everything and when I mean everything I mean they even had my rental come pick me up and that's something that I should of handled myself but after an accident it felt like there were a million things going on. They really made everything easy and took great care of me. I was told by my insurance that the car would be done in 10 days but these guys got it done before that. They did an awsome job and I will for sure be contacting them if I ever need anything else done to my car. read more
