We fell in love with Ed's passion to give his clients the best as we saw this when he worked at nolte's. We are happy to have found him in Villa Park and will continue taking our cars to him for care. Ed and staff are kind, honest, professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, trustworthy, efficient and deliver quality service. They diagnosed our cars quickly and didn't try to sell us on other crap. Honesty is hard to come by with auto mechanics, but Ed is the best and their honesty is WELL APPRECIATED! I can't say enough about Ed & Brad at Elmhurst Auto Care... Finally a garage that I want to tell everyone about... No pressure to repair or replace all kinds of things... Ed tells you what you need to take care of, and then anything he suggests, are those things you know he is suggesting because if your car was his, those are the things he would take care of... To be fair - I've only been there with (2) different cars at (2) different times. Ed & Brad treat you like a person rather than just a claim #. They LMK what needs to be done right away Vs. other items that can be repaired in the future. They always call after their inspection & inform you by line item what repairs need to be completed along with an accurate estimate. Brad made numerous phone calls to local auto salvage yards to get me a good used part for a fraction of the cost for a new part. He gave me the final choice whether new or used. We were out of town, and my daughter was using our van. The car started "dying" as she stopped at lights. Her grandpa charged the battery up on a visit there, but it stalled at a light and had to be pushed off the street. Needless to say, my daughter was a bit frantic. We had it towed to Elmhurst Auto Care, and Ed kindly explained the findings to her and called us as we were driving through the mountains in Montana. My vehicle was leaking oil all over the place. I brought it into Elmhurst Auto Care and the tall gentleman in the front helped me tremendously. He listed to all of my concerns and quickly jacked the car up to show me the issues. Within 5 minutes, he and his team discovered the problem. Rear main seal. He explained that this procedure could not be completed at this auto shop. He referred me to a shop down the road and my car is now getting worked on! This place is awesome! Especially Ed. He was professional and prompt. The prices are very reasonable. My car broke down about ten miles from the shop due to a part malfunction. Though it was nobody's fault, Elmhurst Auto Care paid to have my car towed back to the shop. Furthermore, they charged me nothing additional and had it fixed the next day. When I asked about buying an extra fuse in case of emergency, they just threw it in, on the house. I followed Ed and Brad from their prior location and won't take my cars to anyone else. They are so friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. They will point out what needs to be done now and what should be done but can wait. Recently, I was at my son's hockey practice and one of the dads could not get his car running.
