Overall rating: 4.8 1 drink: $18.88 w/ tip I came here on a whim after going to a very pretentious bar & a terrible date. So happy I stumbled here because it was exactly what I needed. I came late and just came for cocktail & it was really dark. The service was friendly and I enjoyed the vibe of the place. I don't have many pictures but will definitely be putting this place on favorites if I'm in the area again. I also love how dimly lit it is! Highly recommend.

I won't lie, this place gets five stars from me for being open when they say they'll be open. I had an evening planned for checking out some pinball bars (reviewed separately), Hotel Delmano, and Night of Joy. I tried to stop my Hotel Delmano first, as they were supposed to close at 1 AM on a Sunday (on Google and their own website). But they closed over two hours early. So this is where I ended up. This is sold as a bar with grandma decor, which is sort of accurate. It has a few shabby couches and old-timey lamp fixtures. I can see this being a Miss Havisham kinda place. Service is effective and matter of fact; don't expect to be fawned upon. Again, I went late on a Sunday evening, so it wasn't crowded (I could count the number of people on one hand at any given time). So the bartender was hanging with her friends and chatting. I'm ok with this. I got my drinks in a timely manner and wasn't bothered by a crowd. Let the woman chill with her pals. And neither she nor her friends were pretentious. Total win there. Music was a little loud for how few of us were there, but a cool indie selection. The menu is small, but offers some nice, simple flavor profiles. I had the basil lime vodka, lavender grapefruit gin, and hibiscus cinnamon mezcal. They also have some drinks with jalapeño and black currant flavors, an orange blossom lemonade, a rosemary ginger bourbon, and more. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. But if you're in this part of Williamsburg and want a low key hangout without a lot of fuss (on a weeknight at least), this is a pretty good bet. Oh, and during the warmer months they have a rooftop bar. Seems to be pretty cool. I imagine this is a big crowd draw once the thermometer hits 70.

Dark lit bar with rooftop seating. The rooftop seating was all filled. We had non alcoholic drinks. Mostly younger crowd.

This bar was interesting to me because of the different vibes upstairs vs downstairs. Downstairs felt very datey and intimate. Upstairs was more chill and relaxed. It's a "rooftop" but there are really no views because it's actually covered. There are cute twinkly lights though. I got a Moscow mule, which was fine. Nothing special.

I've always heard about Night of Joy but never actually came in until yesterday (a Thursday night). There was a bouncer at the door checking IDs, who was super nice, and upon entering, the bartender immediately acknowledged us and took our order with no wait at all. We decided to try two frozen margaritas (one pomegranate and one lime - my go to for the warmer months) and headed to the roof. The roof was much more lively than the door stairs area, but both had their perks. Kinda nice to have two options all in the same bar. My margarita was perfect, exactly what you want without it being too fancy. My only complaint was the paper straw. I know this is environmentally friendly but it is not frozen marg friendly. I had to keep biting the straw to get the frozen pieces out. Still, not the bar's fault! We only stuck around for one drink since it was a school night but I definitely am looking forward to spending a bit more time here in the future. The lavender drink has my name written all over it!

Be warned their "cocktails" are basically shots over ice. All ice, tiny cups, $12 each. Ambience is lackluster. Rather than including a small tasting menu, they include a small, untoasted bagel with a minuscule schmear of cream cheese which pairs perfectly with their subpar drinks. A night of joy turned into a night of disappointment filled with the bleak darkness of regret. Edit: They charge you $4 per trash bagel and you need to have 1 per drink for the first round. Added pic of receipt, trash bagel is called "andrew sandwich"

My friends and I wandered into this bar on a Saturday afternoon for a drink and were happy to find…read morethat despite there being a birthday party at that time, there was plenty of seating outside! (Inside there's a bar and some booths along the wall). The menu is standard Williamsburg cocktail bar pricing and naturally, we were all drawn to the tequila drinks. I had a Lime All The Time, which was yummy and my partner had a Beach House which was alright. We also all had a round of skinny spicy margaritas which were stronggggg. The bartender was quiet but polite. I liked how they were several jugs of ice water and cups available for patrons. There are bathrooms downstairs and based on the layout of the bar, I suspect it can get rowdy and fun after 8pm rolls around. I'd love to come back then!

Pros: A great bar in Williamsburg that friends and I have been coming to on weekends for years…read more Great cocktails and beers for very affordable prices. Ambience inside, particularly in the upstairs bar, is very nice with dimly lit booths and and a nice bar to sit at. The vibe of the bar is upscale, but not at all pretentious and easy to meet new people. Very friendly bartenders as well. Cons: The bar has become a bit of a victim of it's own success in the past year, as it has been 'discovered' by Gen Z and TikTok. The resulting long entry lines and crowds inside have spoiled the feel of this once hidden gem. And be prepared to hold your pee during peak times Overall, it's still one of the best bars in the city, but I will probably hold off to see if the newfound fame eases off a bit in the near future.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

Their playlist is great so vibes were on point. We all shared the lemon drop cocktail tower. It was super cute, tasty, fun, and did what it had to do for us pre-day party. For food, I tried the bao fish tacos and the crab curry gyoza. Both of these items were good but for the amount that comes with them it's pricy (you get 2 small bao tacos and 4 pieces of gyoza, both of which are $20-22 each). I liked the bao tacos the most because of the mixture of flavors and textures, including the excellently friend fish. The gyoza was different. It wasn't bad but I think I'm just used to crispy/fried gyoza vs these which were boiled/soft. My friends really enjoyed the crab fried rice. The fried sweet plantains were just ok to me; The batch we got were dry and not that sweet.

Most underrated: * gem in Williamsburg…read more * elite Caribbean dishes * romantic/date night spots * Caribbean brunch/lunch menu Service is impeccable. The couple who owns Kokomo deserve an award, if they don't have many already. The food is incredible. I've had both lunch and dinner. I can't say I have a favorite. But what stands out to me is: jerk chicken, mac and cheese, the lamb. Wait, my fave was the flatbread pizza with pasta and jerk chicken. My partner throughly enjoyed and raves about the oxtail. The mixed drinks were equally exceptional.
