Dance floor

Good place to go specially during summer on "Summer Sunday's" their afternoon party. This year they are extending the event until the last weekend of October. I've been three times and I really like the ambiance in here. Is chill, please really go to enjoy the music and dance, and drinks are well made at a reasonable price. The only part that I think could improve is that their food offer is usually very limited and overpriced, so if you go make sure to eat something before arriving, and the bar always lack inventory of their beers, so their selection is not as wide as it shows the menu, I've been three times this summer and they never have what I ordered (multiple beers on different days) so I have to get something else. Other than that I really like their "respect and tolerance" policies, the crowd is usually very nice and not conflictive, I've never seen a fight or bad attitude from the guests. I would definitely recommend going, enjoying good music and having a good time. I've never been during their night events but they seem to have a very good DJ selection as well.

15$ for nachos with any cheese ?

The Zumbador food thing out back feels like a price grab . Use to be cool and good hearty food you could count on. We miss Izakaya ! 15$ nachos with no cheese ??? Wtf . And they give you a hard time if you want extra anything and charge you $1.00 for a thimble size lolz :( RIP Izakaya. They had the best $9 burger around . And so kind. Not trying to yo price gauge . And they would remember you when you'd come back and always say hi ! Food is important.

Amazing outdoor space! It's huge, comfortable and welcoming, tons of different seating areas and various food and drink options. They also have board games. I would definitely come back to access this amazing outdoor space and great vibes.

I come here mainly for the ambiance and resemblance of a backyard. Drinks are good, pretty standard. There's also a Mexican food truck w delicious guacamole and chips. Good place to have a chill birthday party or hangout

Fried chicken sandwich. As you can see the entire center of the chicken is raw.

DO NOT EAT AT THE FOOD TRUCK! The food was horribly undercooked and I suspect this was not the first time. Five bites into the fried chicken sandwich it was clear they didn't know what the heck they were doing in the kitchen. The chicken was crispy on the outside and raw in the middle. Clear sign they don't know to fry chicken and heat was probably too high. Frankly, I am concerned about the food safety for the food truck cause it shouldn't be that pink like never. Plus they barely wanted to refund the entire meal -- not great customer service. We also had the tempeh, which was just okay. The only thing good was the fries, which were probably frozen. So a safe bet.

The staff discourages people from meeting new people, even when new people are looking at you warmly, giving you signs to engage them.

The service was terrible and the bouncers were very rude. Would not recommend to anyone trying to have a fun night.

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden - Plentiful Drafts

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden

Astoria

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is a historic, family-friendly beer garden in Astoria, Queens, known…read morefor its expansive outdoor seating, traditional Czech and Slovak cuisine, and a wide selection of beers. It is the last original beer garden remaining in New York City. On a hot summer day, the Beer Garden just off 31st street is the place to come and relax, watch a game or event, or, at other times, attend a civic or social meeting with local elected officials in one of their private rooms or the main auditorium. I was here last July to hang out and hold an outdoor meeting about a local park in Astoria. We had a choice of burgers, mac and cheese, pizza schnotzel, beer-battered onion rings, and various fried foods. However, there is one aspect of going to the Beer Garden that I ABSOLUTELY HATE, and that is bouncers frisking down visitors or asking customers to show an ID. In my opinion, that is a turnoff and unnecessary action taken, for orderly, polite adults, and makes you feel as if you are in a strip club, and thus an invasion of the person's right to privacy. I recommend, yes, but it is best to go when you want to attend a group event.

They host silent discos here often, which is super cool! It costs just $15 per person, which is a great price. If you haven't attended a silent disco yet, you'll definitely want to add it to your list!! Basically, there are multiple DJs (typically 3 different ones here) that each play a different genre of music. Each person participating gets a set of headphones with 3 different channels - one set to each of the DJs. Additionally, each channel makes the headphones light up a different color. For example, DJ #1 is blue, DJ #2 is red and DJ #3 is green. This lets you see who else is tuning into the same DJ channel as you. It's soooo fun!! Silent Disco nights are also perfect for large groups of friends where some want to go dance and others just want to sit and talk. Because the music is only being played through the headphones, it makes for a relatively peaceful atmosphere for those NOT wanting to deal with loud music. A win-win for everyone! It's pretty empty on weeknights, but can get really packed on the weekends so just be mindful of that! Pro Tip: don't stand in the massive line outside to get a beer - head inside and get it from the bar. One Friday night when we were here, we saw an insanely long line outside, so we walked inside to find ONE other person ordering from the two bartenders indoors. We had no wait time while everyone else outside stood there for quite awhile.

What an incredible, large space! So large…read more I came here for the first time today for their Christkindlmarkt, Saturday, 11/29/25. I am accustomed to New York City high prices living in the city and living here my entire life. Oh boy were the prices for everything astronomical. We ordered two small soups each $12 each outside. The hot chocolate bar was cute but for $5 per cup, to have something that tasted like a watered down Swiss miss was not fair. I find that the Bryant Park holiday shops are more affordable than what was being offered here today. I don't mind spending the money but it felt greedy. I likely would have purchased more if the cost was slightly lower. Thin white pretzels (advertised as a large pretzel) was $12-$13. I would like to say that we did not dine in the sit down restaurant and I would like to return when they do not have an event happening and I would of course update my review to reflect a dining in experience outside of a German Christmas market event. The cost for one raffle was $5 and for three for the tricky tray was $10. When I asked how it worked, the person could not explain to me the rules at all or how it was happening and the two other women just looked at me. No smiles. It was really depressing and off putting. I had even asked if they were doing a cash giveaway raffle and I was told no. After speaking to someone that didn't work there, she had said yes. I'm the type of person that would have likely bought $20 in raffles. Just couldn't help but feel from the people at the table that it was not going to be an honest draw (I said it!) The live music was a nice touch and we didn't come across a staff member while we were here that said hello or a thank you. It was nice to see families out and about purchasing from small businesses. A woman was selling a hat that I saw from a discount store that normally would cost 4.99 for $25. Just to give an idea. Transactions seemed to all be cash only. Just wanted to put that out there just in case anyone plans to go on the second day of this event on Sunday, 11/30/25. I think it's wonderful they hosted this event. I would like to leave my honest feedback for visitors.
