Heard about Nick's from a friend who heard about it from a friend who has a greek background. Isn't that the best recommendation? Atmosphere was casual and family friendly. I can see that later in the evening it could ramp up to a more adult, drinking environment. There is a bar separate from the dining room so you can check the sports scores if you want but not feel like you are in a bar. Stage and a fireplace in the dining area definitely gave me the feel that fun can happen in there at the right time! Anxious to try a few things we over ordered! We started with an order of spanikopita and an appetizer order of falafel. Both were very good. Neither came out really hot - but we could overlook that. The tahini sauce that came with the falafel was very good. Both plates were garnished with some pickled radish which was also very tasty. Looking forward to dinner we saved some of each appetizer to take home! Although the dining room was not full, our waiter could have been a bit more attentive and our entrees seem to have taken a while to come out. When it did come out - it was very good - again not super hot. I had the Mousaka. Authentic and tasty served with traditional green greens in a tomato sauce. My husband had the Gyro platter. Served with open face over pita squares with fries and some salad on the side. While the gyro meat was well worth it - the fries left a bit to be desired. Our family outing to Nick's Taverna was an odyssey of flavors worthy of Greek epicurean praise. With two rambunctious kids in tow, we were looking for a dining experience that catered to all palates, and Nick's delivered. The kids dove into the lamb gyros, which were a hands-down hit--the lamb, tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the cool, creamy tzatziki, all wrapped in a soft, warm pita. It was a dish that brought smiles to their faces and silence to the table--a parent's dream. My wife savored the grilled octopus, a dish that was the star of the night with its charred tendrils and a smoky aftertaste that transported us straight to the Aegean Sea. As for me, the moussaka was a textured layering of comfort, each bite more inviting than the last. A word on the ambiance--lively and inviting, yet the volume was just a notch too high for our little one's ears. Nonetheless, the accommodating staff turned down the music upon request, showcasing their dedication to customer satisfaction. While the dessert was tempting, we opted for a simple Greek yogurt with honey for a sweet end to our meal. It was a testament to the authentic flavors and simple pleasures that Nick's Taverna serves up. This is a really cool place tucked away in my home turf of Brambleton! I can't believe lived here a couple years and only now came to appreciate it. It looks like a sports bar when you peer in, and it is. Big bar, lots of TVs, and open late. The people that work here are all really awesome. But, much more lies beneath the surface. It has a rather large dining room, complete with fireplace, very nice tables, kind of a romantic atmosphere. Not too crowded, you get your space. Now for the best part--the menu! Kind of a mediterranean style core offering that I had no idea was available at a place I can walk to. Kabobs, Gyros, and meat offerings like shawarma that are out of this world. Amazing Pita bread. Amazing salads. Really good fries. Best of all--the best tzatziki I've ever had. Sadly, they don't quite give you enough, and charge for extra, but it's just amazing. My recommendation: if you are hungry, go try the gyro platter, comes with salad, fries, and tzatziki. If even hungrier, try the mediterranean sampler, you get a huge plate of food (gyro, kafta, and chicken souvlaki). And you can get food if you are hungry late, for which there is almost no other good option in the 'burbs. So happy to have discovered Nicks! read more

Nick's Taverna has become a staple in Brambleton, and it's a rarity in this area for offering Greek cuisine. While it's somewhat unique in the local dining scene, here's my honest take on the experience: The restaurant offers ample parking in the back, so you won't struggle to find a spot. However, it's worth mentioning that the place could use a remodel. It's not unpleasant, just a bit too spacious for the number of guests it typically serves. Our server was friendly and accommodating, but the music was a tad too loud for comfortable conversation. Despite that, he did a great job. Food: - We tried the Chicken Schwarma dinner with rice, which was good but lacked a certain savory or acidic kick that we were expecting. - The Spanakopita dinner was enjoyable, but the creamy dressing on the salad was a bit unusual. I would have preferred classic Tzatziki or a Greek dressing. - The trio dips were a highlight, especially the Baba Ghanoush, which was surprisingly excellent. If you're dining with kids, the lamb Gyro platter is a solid choice, and the fries are a must-try. While the lamb was slightly dry, a side of Tzatziki helped. Overall, Nick's Taverna is definitely worth a visit if you're in Brambleton and craving Greek cuisine. read more

I haven't been out much during COVID but I'm so glad I did tonight! First off the place is super clean and they are following great social distancing guidelines and wearing masks along with a contactless menu that the very nice hostess showed me. Second and most important my server Jason was INCREDIBLE! I've never eaten here before and he was so helpful on deciding what to order! His recommendations were so delicious and his service was amazing. He was prompt, nice, and super knowledgeable about the menu including drinks! All in all if you're looking for a great SAFE yet enjoyable place to get out of the house this is it! Definitely ask for Jason you won't be disappointed!!! I'll be back again soon! read more

I wanted to give a shout out to the new Nick's Corner Grill and their menu. We ate dinner their tonight and IT WAS DELICIOUS! We had a gyro, greek salads and the moussaka. They brought out fresh baked pita and hummus which were in house made. All of them were outstanding and so flavorful. Greek moussaka is one of my favorite dishes and this tasted just like my friend's Yaya makes! The service was good and the manager checked in on us to see how things were. If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend it. Even my 6 yr olds loved their meals of spaghetti and a burger. read more

We have eaten at Nick's quite often since they changed their menu to Greek fare. We have only dined in once, as our two young boys just aren't great at restaurants. That outing was fantastic - great service and great food. The hummus and pita bread served with the meal is fantastic - both boys (under 5) loved it too! We have tried half of the menu or so and liked everything. It's always a tough decision when my wife and I order from there - what to try this time?? Please give this restaurant another try if you haven't been since they went Greek. Fantastic food! read more

This place isn't quite what others make it out to be. I didn't have any trouble parking as there were many parking spots. The food is excellent. I had the Chicken Quesadilla which was quite cheesy. The chicken wasn't too dry and was quite tender. The staff is OK. They used to be a bit rude but I understand now that there are new employees which is an improvement on their part. The restaurant is clean and nice. I'd recommend coming here in the evening. read more

I've been here twice. The crabcakes are worth getting -- almost entirely lump crab meat, and I like me some crustacean muscles. The service was not wonderful. I spent over an hour of my time on what should have been a quick, 35 minute meal, and my drinks stayed empty for quite a while before being refilled. I have always enjoyed the food at Nick's but the new Mediterranean menu is absolutely amazing! You can taste the freshness in every bite of food and it is genuinely authentic. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive as well as the bartender. I give them 5 stars and even if you are skeptical I suggest you at least give it a try... The food doesn't lie! :) Enjoy! read more

GREAT food! Atmosphere is Meh; however that's not what I went there for. I had the beef/chicken shawarma and it was the BEST marinated and tender meat i've had in this area in a very long time. Keep it up Nick's! I'll def be back for the great food! read more

A solid place to grab a bite to eat and drink. They have a spicy feta dip which is great and a lot of good Greek/Mediterranean options on the menu. Call me simple, but I generally go with the American burger and have never been disappointed. read more

This Greek restaurant is very very good. I had the Mixed grill and was very delicious. I would go back again.
