First time visitor. After hearing about this burger for a million years we finally stopped to try it. We got it with everything on the side except the pepper jack cheese and lettuce. The burger itself was super tasty. I could have ate that and been happy. The bun was just a plain bun, I think having it toasted would have made it better. Our server was also tending bar so she was coming out to check on us sitting outside. Very sweet girl. Cash only establishment so make sure you have that with you. Definitely worth checking out.

This is my burger. My friend gave me a few raw onions because the grilled onions I ordered were nowhere to be found or tasted.

Stopped by while attending the weekly Lamont Cruising Night on 7/9/25 around 7:30 pm. There were open tables but alot of people at the bar. After about 10 minutes, a server finally stopped by and said, "You know what you want?" No hello, just a question. We ordered the burgers and chips and water. I had grilled onions, and my friend had raw onions. Pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato and mushrooms (50 cents extra). They had a small selection of chips to choose from. The server pooped two bottle waters on our table (and charged us $2 each though we never asked for bottles. We saw her bring cups of ice water to other tables as we waited.) Then we waited, and waited. After 20 minutes we stopped the server who was mostly focused on the bar, and as she passed by the table, she said it would be right up. I then literally heard her ask the woman in back at the grill how long it would be. We assumed there might ve a longer wait because it was a Cruise Night, but only a couple tables were ordering food. We continued to wait. I told my friend we should just leave because we were missing time we could be outside looking at the cars. He said we should stay. Finally the woman from the grill brought our burgers. She didn't say anything but "here you go". I knew which one was my friend's burger because it had raw onion. I did not see any grilled onion on mine except one piece laying on the plate. We had to get our own chips from the rack on the wall by the bathrooms. The server walked past our table again and said "Everything is good?" as if she was just too busy to engage in any kind of conversation. This was the most tasteless burger I ever ate. I dont think she used any seasoning. I didn't taste any onion. And it only had a small piece of lettuce. If there was mushroom, I didn't see it. The only thing with any flavor was the sour cream and onion Lays chips I got myself. We got the check, and we were charged 4x for the "extras" (lettuce and tomato) and $2/each for bottle water which again we didn't order and were not told was extra. We also got charged $0.75 each for cheese, which the menu did ot say was extra. I thought this would be a quaint eating experience while enjoying a nice time at the car show. It was a complete disappointment, not just the food quality but also the experience with the server. Once we got the check it was nearly 9 pm, and we missed out on the remainder of the car show I do not recommend going here unless you are just here to drink. The people at the bar get all the attention. I feel I wasted my time and my money.

Great local run restaurant. Burgers are not some frozen bland burger, but tasty hand made. Just remember there is no fries and it's cash only here. Beers and food are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

I agree with the other reviews, delicious hand packed burgers. Even the small one is filling. Never heard of it so I had to try the gravy bread with mozzarella. OMG! Delicious. Always try to eat at the bar and enjoy conversation with others. Relaxed environment and everyone is friendly.

If you have ever wanted to dive into the tv and be a regular when watching Cheers, Nick's is the place to get as close as possible to this dream! It was our first time at Nick's and I was so happy we were finally able to hang out! The clientele is an awesome mix of all ages, with everyone you meet being so kind and embracing. The awesome bartender made sure to cater to everyone's musical tastes, as well as their libation tastes! Prices are so very reasonable and you can get pretty happy using a minimal amount of cash. We had already eaten and so we didn't try their famous burger. However, this is what Nick's is known for and this was apparent when so many patrons came in for the burger alone. Overall an entertaining night and fun night at Nick's! Nite: Cash Only!!!

Nicks burger. Thank you to my boyfriend Kev M for bringing me one over.

This place amazing burgers w/ grilled onions. Even thinking about it is making my mouth water. Extremely delicious, and peaceful environment. Nick Burger

This place goes on list of places to avoid. Food might be really good but couldn't get past the noise and unfriendly vibe.

Tom's Place is certainly a throwback with the beers of yesteryear. Also it's cheap. You can get wasted on a few bucks it seems. Convenient location in the downtown area. It's next to the Metra station. There's also a ton of other bars around here but this beats all those. About the cheapest place for beers or anything. It's $2 to get Blatz. This is the only place I know that has it around here to be honest. Cheap but it's a good classic beer. It's $5 to get the cheapest cocktails such as Jager and Coke. They have no food except for popcorn. Got cheap beers and cocktails. It's known for the cool sign outside. The cooler thing is they actually have this classic beer, along with cheap ass liquor, and free popcorn, making this a must stop for locals, visitors, or whoever.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.
