I had a great experience with pronto boxes. While I don't recommend their garment boxes, I…read moredefinitely recommend the moving bins. The customer service is also on point. Their bins are pretty spacious compared to cardboard boxes. There's also less mess and more space when you move as you don't need to worry about breaking down and getting rid of all that cardboard. I got the studio apartment package for 3 weeks and didn't think I needed the dolly - but the dolly came in handy as I was packing and unpacking, to more easily get to the boxes I needed. The boxes themselves were easily stackable and you'd know if you overpacked them based on the design. The boxes are also super sturdy. To label them, I'd recommend using masking tape - super cheap and no need for all that extra label paper. The tape also peels right off when you're done but stays on better than the reusable labels. (I didn't use the pro to labels because they were a bit small for me). When the boxes arrived, they were mostly clean and ready to go. The boxes' drop off and pickup were both super smooth. When I was not satisfied with the garment boxes, I was only charged for the week I had it. I did have to pay for the extra pickup, but it was still cheaper than keeping the garment boxes for 3 weeks. The boxes stack into each other easily when you're done so it saves space as you unpack. Pro tip: as you unpack, stack the boxes right onto the dolly, including the box you're in the process of unpacking. Customer service is super responsive over text and it felt like they took an interest in making the process as smooth as possible for me. I had unpacked a day early and they were able to come by and pick up the boxes the same day. I was getting unlimited cardboard boxes for free from my dad's job but was glad I used pronto boxes instead for this move.

My experience was very personal and great (you can tell this is a smaller company). I was reached out to the day before my crates were to be delivered asking if they could deliver them a day later due to some issues on their end; I told them I was planning to go out of town in a few days and really didn't want to lose the day packing, and they made it happen as scheduled. The crates arrived right on schedule and were brought in to my apartment. After I moved and finished unpacking, I was done a couple days early and texted to see if they could pick the boxes up early and they came out later that day and took them from inside my apartment. The person we spoke to was articulate and ensured we received our complete order: boxes, covers, and easy and fast check-in. Moving is hard enough so to encounter a person who is good at his job and made our day easier is a blessing. Tip: They close at 5:00 pm so if you return the truck after hours, just drop the keys into the lock box after you lock up the truck, after returning.

I did think it was a bit strange that everything was done via email and there's really no other way of contacting them. That said, they were extremely responsive to email, which was fine. The movers themselves were personable and worked efficiently throughout the process, which I appreciated. Beyond that - there were issues. Firstly, the team arrived about 20 minutes late. I did appreciate the heads-up text, but on one of the most stressful days of your life, it's worth noting - especially as it was early in the morning. More importantly, I was under the impression that loading the truck was part of the service I hired Intense Movers to provide. Nope. Instead, that responsibility was completely handed off to my partner, who stayed with the truck while the movers brought items down for him to load. There was no discussion about this. In fact, it was initially suggested that I use only 2 movers but I requested another to be more efficient. I didn't realize that they assumed my partner was an unpaid 4th. Items with "this side up" stickers were completely disregarded. They brought everything down however they wanted to and handed them off to my partner however was most convenient for them. Also, a couple of guys who were not part of the moving team entered my apartment unannounced, to say hello to the movers. They did not clearly identify themselves, though it seemed like they may have been affiliated with the company. Regardless, having strangers invite themselves into my apartment during the move was pretty inappropriate. Lastly, when it came time for payment, you can only pay by cash or Zelle - which, to me, is sketchy AF. I had planned to send it via Zelle to their company account as instructed. However, the lead mover was insistent that I send the payment directly to him instead, saying he needed to pay his workers immediately. He was so insistent about it that it made me feel really uneasy. In the end, if I could do it all over - I definitely would have chosen someone else who was more professional.
