The night was dark and the hunger was grumbling and this place was open to save the day! The place was packed and the staff was friendly I got a good amount of knowledgeable details on what's good and what can be a fav later on into the days of eating there. I have gotten a bun mi sandwich that seems to be made with love and goodness I would have asked one to go however it really is something best eating while fresh so I held back on ordering more but I will next time.
When we arrived, we were able to find parking with what limited parking they have. It was around 8:30 pm. Luckily it wasn't busy when we arrived. Upon entering, we notice that it's two establishments and you can easily go to one or the other. The staff happily welcomed us after seeing us. Looking at the menu, everything seemed to peak my interest and prices were relatively affordable compared to other restaurants. We ordered the Crawfish Pasta, Popcorn Chicken, House Marinated Chicken Sandwich, and Cajun Garlic Fries. When ordering, they offered free Parmesan cheese either on top or in the side. They had drink options, and I went with a fountain drink. Crawfish Pasta: Loved that it had crawfish. It tasted pretty good. I do wish they cut up the cilantro smaller length. Overall, still a flavorful dish. House Marinated Chicken Sandwich: Honestly, I didn't expect it to be this big. Luckily we were sharing food. The marinated chicken was packed with flavor and super soft and not dry. As a veggie lover, I loved that it had pickled carrots and daikon radish. Again, would have preferred the cilantro to be cut up a little more. Bread was so soft and fluffy. The green looking sauce that each dish and sides had was also really good. All in all, sandwich was really good. Cajun Garlic Fries: For almost $6, this was quite a lot of fries. There are many places that charge $6 and you don't get that many. Fries were crispy, just enough saltiness and flavor. I really liked the fries, although I didn't notice too much of the garlic flavor. I still enjoyed the fries, especially with that sauce on the side. Popcorn Chicken: The chicken was very soft and moist, and tasted pretty good also. I love the seasoning. However, it wasn't a lot when I compared it to the amount of fries we got. But it's worth a try. I do wish they added more chicken. It was quiet at the beginning and by 10 pm, a lot of people came. It became more lively. When we left, there were a bit of cars emergency lighting. Can't blame them. Food was pretty good. I'd definitely come back.
Nice Vietnamese/Asian Fusion restaurant where you can quickly pick up food, especially if you're visiting the hospitals nearby. * Crawfish Pasta 5/5 - This was like a Cajun seafood pasta with crawfish and sausages. It was really good. * Grilled Pork Bowl 5/5 - The grilled pork was good. Love that they included a sunny-side-up egg on top, plus healthy veggies in the bowl. * Thai Tea 5/5 - Drink with delicious sweetness that spread quickly on your tongue the moment you take a sip.
We were in the area from out of state and found this place , let me tell you the food was amazing I ordered the NK sliders and my husband ordered the garlic noodles with bulgogi beef both dishes were delicious and you can taste all the ingredients that blend so well together! A+ for the garlic sauce ! Definitely recommend!
A long day at Disneyland and we didn't stop anywhere before we got back to our hotel so we dashed NK - and WOW!! We ordered chicken wings, popcorn chicken, and the pork noodles, and it was perfection! Everything came quick and looked just like the photos on the menu. You know what you're getting which is important, but even better, it tasted incredible! The portions were generous as well, my husband and I shared. Another important fact, it was kid friendly because my 2.5 yo almost ate all the grilled pork! He loved it too! Disneyland is always fun, and we're going another day. The first thing my husband and I said this morning, "well, we know what we can eat tonight!" Such a win!!
Quick, casual and affordable. This spot has cozy booths for dine in, but not optimal for large groups. My kids split a garlic noodle with chicken. Noodles were great, but some of chicken pieces were burnt. Husband got the chicken sandwich which her really enjoyed. I got the salad with chicken and my only complaint was that it was that I'd had too much garlic cream sauce. Overall service was friendly and would return.
I tried this place because it had a ton of favorable reviews and had been on my "mega try" list for a while. Okay, I'm here, now as Yelpies can relate to, the toughest decision of the day...what do I order? I was solo, so no sharing my top 2. I had to pick one. I literally stood there awkwardly staring at the overhead menu and anxiously staring over my shoulder for people behind me. I was craving something full of flavor, so I went with the cashier's favorite -- the grilled pork bowl. BINGO. Tender teriyaki pork pieces, perfect soft rice, the grilled jalapeño sauce (hands down must do), and crisp cucumber slices and carrot shavings that balanced everything perfectly. Not heavy, super favorable, Just bomb. I came in craving real flavor, and this hit exactly right. Super fresh, super tasty and the food was genuinely delicious -- worthy of the hype. Walking out I spied on other tables choices, Bulgogi fries, some fried chicken pieces - yum! I'm coming back, the only question is when....tomorrow? And what do I try next? Bonus points: the woman cooking had a big, warm smile when I chatted with her -- you could tell she genuinely enjoys making great food, and that energy comes through in the bowl.
After arriving in Anaheim California from Las Vegas on a Wednesday evening around 9:30 P.M. for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon, my husband and I looked for restaurants open in the area. There weren't many restaurants open that late, but Nguyen's Kitchen was and it was only a mile away from our hotel! When we arrived there, it was very busy. The parking lot was difficult to maneuver around, but luckily we were able to back our vehicle into a parking spot. The restaurant space has two restaurants, but Nguyen's Kitchen entrance is off to the left. Nguyen's Kitchen is a Vietnamese restaurant. There are several locations in Southern California, but the one we went to was in Anaheim. The menu offers a wide range of dishes from noodle bowls, rice bowls, signature sandwiches, sides like popcorn chicken, slider burgers, and so much more! I was really excited to try out the Bulgogi Steak Garlic noodle dish. My husband got the Bulgogi Short Rib Steak Sandwich which included cucumber, pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro and a side sauce. The order was ready in about 10 minutes! It was super fast! I haven't had garlic noodles like this in a long time. It was so flavorful! The beef bulgogi was super tender and there was so much bulgogi in the dish! There was just the perfect amount of garlic in the noodles. The restaurant hours are typically open from 9:00 A.M to 2:30 A.M (next day). On the weekends, it does open a bit later in the morning. The service is fast! The seating is limited inside, but when we had arrived around 10:00 P.M, there were a few seats available inside. The food is great here! If you're visiting Anaheim California and looking for an alternative place to the theme park restaurants, you should try out Nguyen's Kitchen. The service is wonderful and the food is fantastic!
Delicious spot but be warned very garlicky! I got the garlic noodles with pork and it was just what I needed. A bit on the oily side and a bit heavy since it doesn't have veggies. But always hits the spot. Highly recommend it They have their own parking spot and is also connected to a açaí bowl right next door
Love that there was a minimal wait for us on a Sunday evening! It was really cool watching the chefs make your food right in front of you The popcorn chicken was so fresh and crispy and perfectly seasoned like the traditional Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The garlic noodles were decent and the shrimp was slightly sweetly seasoned. The crawfish pasta in theory sounded great, but we found the crawfish had a fishy aftertaste. Definitely would return for the popcorn chicken though!
I ordered Nguyen's Kitchen for the first time earlier this week, 2/4/2025. I got the following delivered (prices via the Postmates app and as of 2/2025)!: Crawfish Pasta - $16.95 - Yummy It was very delicious - even though we didn't eat it immediately! The pasta has chunky crawfish, spicy sausage, house tomatoes, and cream marinara sauce. This has a slightly smokey flavor from the sausage, and the crawfish didn't taste too fishy. When my husband and I took a bite, our eyes lit up because we didn't think it would be this tasty! Of course keep in mind that this dish is pretty oily/buttery, but I loved the sauce and the texture of pasta was still al dente (not soggy) I definitely and highly recommend for those who like a seafood pasta! Peach & Lychee Green Tea - $5.45 I didn't get to try this, but my husband enjoyed it. However, he said he didn't taste much peach flavor - just lychee. Popcorn Chicken - $6.45 - My husband said there weren't many pieces, and it wasn't flavorful. I would not recommend ordering this. My review is five stars, primarily due to the crawfish pasta, so I'd consider returning and ordering again!

We got the steak bulgogi sandwich which was amazing! But I'm writing this review to comment on the awesome staff! We have been at the hospital next door and decided to grab a late bite hear. Typically customer service at any restaurant late at night is typically met with fatigue and callous. But the lady behind the register and the dude behind the grill were nothing but smiles and sincere attentiveness. Best garlic noodles I've had! Buttery and rich and toothsome and most important, very garlicky! I got them with jumbo shrimp which were cooked just right and plenty garlicky by themselves. The beverage selection is curated down to a very few selections but I'm here to tell you, the green milk tea is perfection. Hubby got crawfish noodles and loved it. Easy parking in the lot. read more

This place is amazing and everything is so fresh, something I would expect from a restaurant not a little spot like this. The shrimp was fresh the chicken juicy, the beef tender and the bread for the Bahmi sandwiches fresh and crusty. Everything was perfect, came in with a party of 15 and everything came out at a reasonable time. Staff was friendly and the whole experience was perfect. I love that the whole restaurant was clean including the restrooms. So many times you come to a place and the tables are sticky, but not here. The food is good if you like oily food with butter. It's not my favorite as I prefer cleaner food and not a big fan of sauce. They do give a lot of food and are really friendly. They answer any questions you have and give the food quick. The inside is combined with an acai place. The parking lot is a bit small. Whenever I'm scoping out a new restaurant to try, I always run through Yelp to back it up. With the amount of reviews this spot has, I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was empty. I ordered the garlic noodles with grilled pork and it came out to be around $16. The food took maybe 5 minutes and I dined in. I was expecting the portion to be a little bit more just because the price is on the higher side for some noodles. However, I did enjoy the grilled pork and the little side sauce that came with the noodles. I wouldn't say I was blown away by any means, and don't see myself returning for overpriced modern Viet food. read more

This is a go-to for me & my group of friends whenever we're in SoCal for Disneyland. They're open late night so it's a great place for a "midnight snack" after the parks close. Boyfriend and I stopped to try another local spot. We shared the cajan fries, the bulgogi bowl, and the house chicken sandwich. I also got the peach and lychee green tea. My boyfriend and I both preferred the bulgogi bowl! All of it was delicious though, and the portions seemed big. The sauce that came with the meals had a kick but was so addicting. I couldn't help but take it with me for my leftovers. Service was quick, and we got our food pretty fast too. I can't believe how long this place has been on my "must try" list before I actually tried it! The family wanted noodles, so we took the opportunity to stop here to get a noodle bowl and a rice bowl. We ordered the bulgogi garlic noodle bowl and the grilled pork rice bowl, an order of egg rolls, and a Thai tea. Service was fine; the guy taking our order was nice but he had to get help with a question we had about the green tea. Not a problem though; I always appreciate "let me find out" rather than "I don't know". So good service! There were a handful of booth seats inside, a couple 2-top seats, and one table that seats I think 8 people. We had no trouble finding a place to sit. The food was cooked fresh to order, and everything was so delicious! We were so hungry I forgot to grab pictures except one of the menu so I could check in. The garlic noodles were perfect, not too strong and tasted fresh. The beef was well seasoned and tender. The grilled pork was also delicious! It came with a little lettuce and some shaved carrot and daikon, and sliced cucumber. The green sauce was tasty but I didn't want to make my food spicy since I was sharing with my daughter. Eggrolls were good and crispy, and the sauce they came with was great! It was about $5 for 2 egg rolls. The Thai tea was sweet and refreshing on a hot day! I really enjoyed it. Oh its interesting how I've never written a review here even though I've stopped by numerous times. I've had all their drinks including the iced coffee, milk tea, Thai tea, and peach and lychee. My favorite is the peach and lychee and the iced coffee here is the closest thing ill get to vietnamese coffee in the area. It's passble. In terms of food I've had their garlic fries and shrimp garlic noodles, both were good. A hack I've learned recently is to ask for no ice in my drinks and just get a water cup with ice and pour it out as I drink, then when I am ready to leave I just fill the drink with ice and it feels like I got a new drink. LOL. I also ask for pickled carrots on the side and they give me a good portion to enjoy with my food so I like that. 4.5 stars but since I've never had a bad experience here I will give them a 5. read more

If you're truly Asian, you probably won't like it. It has three different flavors in one dish -- extremely salty, spicy, and something else I can't quite describe. The green sauce is good though. The bathroom is super dirty(toilet has poop;didn't wanna take photo), and the drink machine is also dirty. The noodles are mushy and lost their texture. read more

I ordered 2 bulgogi garlic noodle bowls to go and I asked for 2 soy sauces with it. The lady who was helping me said they charge for extra sauces now so she could only give me one... but I have two bowls of food. Why would I share one tiny sauce with two bowls? The bowl itself had dry beef with barely any flavor (which is why I asked for the sauce). Don't bother coming here unless you like mediocre food. read more

Been here before and was suprised to see that Purr Bowls is now connected to Nguyen's Kitchen. Food was good, we ordered two dishes me and my girlfriend has gotten before but I also wanted to try something new. I went for the Jumbo Shrimp bowl. I was pretty dissapointed by the size and amount of shrimp compared to the amount of veggies and rice. They keep the shell on the shrimp and cook and season it with it on so by the time I have to peel off the shell, it feels like I tore away the flavor as well. The sandwhich was amazing as always and my girlfriend was satisfied with her pasta as well. I do appreciate the glass window to see through to the cooks cooking the food so nothing is hidden from the customers. They were pretty fast with the order as well given we ordered 3 dishes. This was my first time at Nguyen's Kitchen, and overall, it was a solid experience. We ordered the garlic noodles with grilled pork and the Cajun fries with bulgogi. I was a bit surprised when the total came out to $32 for two items, but after seeing the portion sizes and generous amount of meat, it felt worth it. One downside was that the table we sat at wasn't clean, so we had to wipe it down ourselves. However, the food came out quickly, which was a plus. As for the flavors, the garlic noodles were great, but I personally found the bulgogi had a bit of a strange aftertaste. Next time, I'd probably skip adding meat to the fries. read more

Stumbled upon this place late Sunday night & was glad I did! We were looking for a late night meal & this hit the spot. We ordered the grilled pork sandwich, garlic noodles with bulgolgi short rib steak & and short rib bulgolgi steak rice bowl for $49. Grilled pork sandwich (4/5) I really liked the grilled pork & glad I chose it. The sandwich was filled & delicious, BUT the bread was a little soggy by the time I got to eat it (we had to drive from the location to Anaheim, which was about 10 mins). I'm used to bahn mi having crunchy bread so the soggy bread threw off the sandwich. Nonetheless, the flavors were there & spice level was perfect. Garlic Noodles with bulgolgi short rib steak (4/5) Noodles were a bit overcooked to my liking, but flavors were great. Bulgolgi short rib rice bowl (5/5) Probably my favorite! They give a pretty big portion of meat, rice & pickled veggies. I wasn't able to eat all of it in one sitting. I do wish they used different containers because the containers the food comes in, is aluminum so I wasn't able to reheat my food in the microwave (we were in a hotel & it was late night so I wasn't going to get a plate or bowl to reheat my food). TLDR; fast and nice service, lots of rice but not enough greens and protein. Open late This restaurant is situated right next to CHOC and is open late, so it's a great location for healthcare workers who get off work late and want a quick meal. The staff were awesome and service was fast. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant, and food comes fast. I got the bulgogi bowl, which tasted alright but I wished there was more protein and greens (basically a thin layer of meat/veggies over a large heap of rice). Overall though, a decent option for a quick meal if you are busy, given the hours of operation and location. read more

Food / Drink Bulgogi Steak Sandwich Pork Garlic Noodles with Fried Egg Popcorn Chicken Peach and Lychee Green Tea Bulgogi Steak Sandwich (3/5) It was stuffed to the brim which felt like a good deal. However, the bulgogi steak wasn't the best. The sandwich would've been better with the pork. Pork Garlic Noodles with Fried Egg (3/5) The pork was good and noodles were a bit mushy from being overcooked. I was expecting more from this dish because of the rave reviews. Popcorn Chicken (4/5) Thinly coated batter with chicken chunks. If you prefer more chicken meat over batter, this is a good option to consider ordering. It was accompanied with a side of ranch. Peach and Lychee Green Tea (2/5) Sadly, this drink was so sweet and full of sugar. I had to dilute it 3 times with water to pair down the thick concentrated taste. Customer Service Quick customer service was provided by the staff and they were very accommodating during my dining experience. Ambiance Casual dining spot with a shared/connected business called Pur Bowls. Seating is first come first served in wooden booths and a self-service drink station for soda refreshments. 3.01.24 Had NK bookmarked and was excited to finally visit w 2 of my girlfriends for lunch on a Friday noon. Was in the area and was deciding where to go for lunch. Recalled NK restaurant, asked my other 2 friends if they'd like to come here for lunch and both said Yes. I should've saw the sign that the concept of this restaurant was like modern fast food Vietnamese food w some French quick to it. This was more Americanized Vietnamese food. What we ordered ~ Grilled steak w garlic noodle $ 14.95. The garlic didn't taste like garlic noodles. Had really less flavoring of garlic nor actual garlic bits. I've had way much better garlic noodles and the fragrant of garlic. Definitely nodding the actual key ingredient...GARLIC ~ Popcorn Chicken was yum without the dipping sauce nor spice flavoring. Probably my fav item we ordered. My other girlfriend agreed our fav item was the PC. ~ NK Chicken Wings (6) was decently good. And fried to perfection crispiness. ~ Grilled Pork Noodles . Was good but the fish sauce dressing didn't taste like the original fish sauce you'd find At authentic Vietnamese restaurant. It lacked a lot of flavoring. Be warned: bring extra set of clothes if you don't like food smell on clothes - because you'll smell so strong of food scent onced you entered. It was hard to sit on the kitchen/cooking side because it felt very stuffy/smoky. Sitting by the front door is not much better because the AC was blowing on our foods. Better if order and eat in the car or outside or back at office. Parking was small but we were able to park since we arrived early. Order by the counter, pay and tip at this moment or bring cash to tip after. Staff call your number to pick up your food on the other end of the counter. Staff was patient and cordial. Let us take our time figuring out what we want to order. Inside was clean. Food: Garlic noodles were too buttery and oily for me and lots of spices. Bulgogi is cutomarily prepared on the sweeter side which I was aware of but overall the food tasted all right. Canjun fries with bulgogi were ok and I would order fries again but just by itself. It looked like 3 small tables with seating for 2 per each table. It's on the side of the building where you first drive in to park from the main st. side and it did have shade from the building roof but it was not fully covered. July 3, 2023

The noodle dish portions are fat, not small by any means. The crawfish pasta specifically has a lot of meat between the crawfish and sausage.

Noodles contain eggs as an ingredient. Consider that. Isn't there a menu you can look up on this page? Or just wanted to point out the lack of vegetarian options? I think there was one item with no meat in there.
