It is to the right of the Whole Foods entrance in a newer plaza with plenty of parking. We ordered for pick up the All American Burger, Chipotle Burger with crinkle cut fries and 2 milkshakes (we got soy they have coconut as an option too) cookies and cream and peanut butter cup. All the food and milkshakes were delicious! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants delicious vegan fast food! I loved the flavors of everything and really enjoyed the house sauce on the burger. It can be so hard to find vegan milkshakes that aren't coconut only so was thrilled to see they had it. The service was great we ordered pickup and everything was timed perfectly and the customer service was great. I will 100% be back when I want a cheat meal or a treat for myself! It's so exciting to have a 100% Plant based burger shop open up near me! Once I heard that NLB was opening up inside Whole Foods 365, I was ecstatic. I heard about them from my Portland friends and thought it was great that they were expanding to Northern California. At the grand opening today, both Whole Foods 365 and Next Level Burger were packed! Today I tried the All American with their own "meaty patty" with cheddar style cheese and side of crinkles fries. You can get the fries baked or fried. I also ordered a cookies n cream shake and you can choose soy or coconut based. I enjoyed everything! My friends tried the umami mushroom quinoa patty and they said it was better than the meaty patty so that is on my list to try next time. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I was curious about this new burger joint that was completely plant-based. I went with my meat-eating husband, his cousin, and his sometimes-vegetarian aunt. Three of us ordered soy shakes (mine was the Brownie Explosion and the other two were Cookies and Cream), and we shared French fries and tater tots. My husband and his cousin had the All American burger and both enjoyed their Savory "Meaty" patties. Fries were good but nothing spectacular, but I really liked the crispy tater tots. Auntie and I both had the Classic Burger with the Beyond Burger patty. I added Cheddar Style "Cheese" to mine and Tempeh "Bacon" and was pleasantly surprised with both additions. The patty did not remind me of beef in taste, but it had the pinkish color and texture of a medium-cooked beef patty. The taste was more like ground turkey mixed with tofu. Beyond Burger patties as it turns out are made of peas and have been juice added for color and "bleeding" like red meat. Yum! Shakes were very good too. I was curious about the coconut based one, but it was higher calorie and less protein than soy, so we stuck with that. The shakes are extremely filling and are creamy. They are made with soft-serve plant based ice cream. I still prefer dairy ice cream shakes, but these are a good alternative for vegans/lactose-intolerant folks. For two burgers, added on toppings, one order of fries and two shakes -- a meal for two people cost about $47. It's more expensive than I prefer for a casual burger eatery. For a non-plant-based comparison, I can get two double double burgers, fries, and two shakes at In-n-Out for less than $20. Next Level is a little over double the price, however portions were much larger (comparing burgers and shakes). Would I come back? Probably not on my own. But if I had a friend or family member that wanted to go somewhere to enjoy a plant-based, vegan, possibly gluten free (depending on options) meal, I'd accompany them. read more

Service - Very friendly, and the cashier told me right away that the food options were all plant-based. No meat. Rang me up, and said they would call my name (no number or place holder). So I found my seat and listened for my name. Didn't have to wait too long, and my food and drinks were brought over. Food - Saying this straight out, I am carnivorous. I love real hamburgers and hotdogs, etc. I picked this place because my cousin sometimes tries to eat vegan options (for health and environmental reasons) and because I wanted to do my part to help the world too, I decided to eat here. I got the classic, no pickles, added avocados. My burger came, and it was stacked pretty high, but the patty wasn't too big. The buns also fell apart a little less than halfway into my burger. If no one told me, I would probably think the patty was a turkey burger, or some other healthy option. Def. not a meat-replacement. And did not fool me into thinking it was meat. However, my cousin ordered the all-American and the cheese on that thing was pretty cheesy. 3 stars because A-OK is how I would describe the food. While I appreciate a restaurant that is solely dedicated to all plant-based food including burgers, sandwiches, salads and shakes, Next Level Burger failed to impress me unlike for many other Yelpers (This may be perhaps this is an establishment that caters to a very unique clientele). This fast casual restaurant actually sits right in the Whole Foods 365 market, off to the side in this very nitch-type grocery store. It's a tight squeeze to move between the ordering counter, interior dining tables, and the windows. However, the ambience is airy and fresh to blend well with the rest of the Whole Foods Market. Service is friendly from the cashier to the wait staff that brings you your food and drinks. Our food order consisted of two burgers. The burger patties are made of quinoa and chia seeds and come in between a wheat bun. Between the patty and the bun, something was missing that kept the sandwich falling apart throughout the entire eating experience. This made for a significant mess and challenge to get through the whole burger. Aside from that, there was plenty of flavor and fresh fixings that filled the sandwich. For a burger that averages around $8, price is a fair value but not great. The kids had to supplement their meal with some pizza from the grocery store to top off their appetites. I don't anticipate returning for another meal here as it is more trouble than it's worth (messiness) and I can have a more satisfying meal - meat or vegetarian - just one block over. Update on 10/11/21- 13 days ago the owner, John responded to my review on Yelp with a request that I email him and left the email so I emailed him that same day, however I have not received any kind of response or follow up. I had also gone on the company website and used their messaging system on the date this originally took place and no follow up from them in response to that either. This tells me one thing, they simply do NOT care. They received my complaint via message on their site, on Yelp which they clearly read as well as email per their request. I feel John wrote a generic response to my review which her clearly writes to everyone else to make it seem as if it is being handled when it in fact is NOT. Just more confirmation that this place has terrible customer service. Original review: The WORST customer service. We paid $40+ for our meals at 7:26 pm and were told that our meal would be brought out to us outside. It's now 8:00 pm and the food still hasn't come out. Several people came in and out with food so I finally go inside and Riley asks my name and then grabs a bag that's just been sitting there getting cold. She seemed annoyed like I was bothering her. As soon as I walk out she locks the door and turns the light off. We open the bag and my order was missing the cheese and all the food was COLD and soggy and the shake was melted. I knock on the now locked door and Riley comes over with attitude and I tell her that my burger was missing the cheese and she said "you didn't order it with cheese." Ummm excuse me?!! How would she know what I ordered when she wasn't the one that took our order. I told her I FOR SURE ordered it with cheese and she said "Well where's your receipt?" My hubby who is a meat lover gave Next Level a "thumbs up - better than a lot of burger joints!" The pluses of Next Level - clean-tasting, seasoned just right, not over salted, and very flavorful. Nothing to me was off-tasting or weird - just delicious! The burger ingredients don't try to taste like beef but are so good as they are. The Fish(less) Filets tastes and has the texture of fish but is not fishy. I liked that so much that I want to go back and try their Fish Burger. Also, the American cheese was very good - much better than I expected for Vegan, with the right melt and texture. Fries were simple and standard. Good side sauces included - different but delicious. Loved the Pumpkin Shake - just right pumpkin and spice taste, also better than expected, in fact better than a regular shake - rich and satisfying without being heavy. Came here for a Yelp Elite event awhile ago and have come back multiple times since - we love it! So happy to have some vegan/plant based options in the area, especially delicious ones like NLB! I was so excited to try this place and am so sad to have to report bad news... Firstly, $25 and change for a cheeseburger meal is ridiculous. Secondly, I ordered the specialty tots and received sweet potato fries instead. The order mix up was frustrating but I also love sweet potato fries so I was not too upset until I actually tried the fries. They tasted microwaved and freezer burned for $9!! Third, the "brownie" soy milkshake was straight up horrible. I have had plenty of soy milkshakes from various places before and this one was on a new level of bad. It tasted like I was eating paper covered in a weird chocolate-like substance. I have no clue why it's called "brownie" when there's absolutely no trace of brownie anywhere. I don't eat red meat. Yet I'm not Vegan nor Vegetarian. And still, sometimes I do indulge myself by delving into the world of imitation meat. Next Level Burger surprised me by having Beyond Dogs. I chose a Beyond Ballpark Dog that was grilled just right and loaded with all the regular cast of characters. While the flavors were great, the texture of the dog was a little chunky. I even took a look and was surprised at how chunky it was. I have had Jack Fruit dishes and I suppose was expecting something along the same lines. Again, the flavor was really good. Just the texture seemed off. I asked about what went into this Beyond Dog and very hesitantly I was given "Pea Powder and Beets" followed by "Proprietary Blend" which means what? Cost $9.95. I should have gotten a ball game with that. By the way, Sodium count for this dog was 1,200mg. My husband and I also tried one of their non dairy shakes. Hip Hooray for having non dairy that's not too stupid expensive. We chose the Next Level Golden Milk for $5.95. Great taste with none of the cow's milk after effects. I think if we stop by again, we'll try the fries. But it's nice to have this alternative diner close to home so we can have a beefy tasting burger or dog when the craving strikes. read more

I love burgers and by far this is the second best place for vegan burgers with Stand-up burgers the first. If in concord and looking for a healthy fresh burger stop here. The person at the counter was courteous and, after inquiring about whether this was my first visit, she explained that the establishment is completely plant-based. Except for a few un-bussed tables which remained so for the entirety of my meal, the restaurant was clean. The outdoor seating leaves a lot to be desired, though. The tables are uncomfortably low. I could not scoot in because the structure of the table was too low and would not allow me to do so. I am 5'11" so it was not due to being unusually tall. Also, I asked the wait staff for a knife to cut my burger; it never came. Food After reading a few Yelp reviews, I ordered the sausage bacon burger with cheddar cheese and the tater tots, baked, not fried. The burger was good (not excellent). Not sure what the all hype is about. The patty would be vastly improved by a little salt and pepper. It's bland. The tater tots, served with catsup, were average. I recommend more imaginative options in addition to the catsup, like chipotle smoked catsup or sriracha aioli. This meal was over-prices at $15+, especially since there was nothing creative or tasty about it. Overall I do not recommend Next Level Burger. We needed a quick bite before a weekend getaway and decided to eat here instead of Burger King on the freeway. Somehow, we both missed that the burgers were vegan and I didn't even realize that until now. It was not immediately obvious and I remember saying, "wow, there's no meatless option." Dave's Hot Chicken gives you a huge amount of food for it, Firebird's servings are also huge, and so is True Burger's and Barney's. We ordered our food for eating in and waited. And waited. And waited. We watched other customers get served on a tray. We kept waiting. Then I finally went to look and see what was going on and someone asked what number I was. My food was bagged (and still warm thankfully) in the To Go area. Not sure why others were served their food and we weren't. I was suddenly wondering why I tipped 20%. The burgers were definitely not big. I ordered fried chicken and honestly, thought it was chicken. It was great! Small. They could've been much more generous with the toppings. My loaded fries were tasty but again, small serving. The problem was my husband's order was totally wrong. It was absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. We asked about it and the guy at the counter was not nice about it, defending it. Thankfully, the other worker apologized for the mistake and remade the order. Unfortunately that was undercooked and the whole experience was a lot longer than we would've appreciated. And his burger was also very small. They should be super generous with the toppings. The tables are really clean and ample space for this fast food place. The social burger was pretty good! It was small but packed with lots of protein and made it filling. The special style fries were soooo bomb. The sauce they have in it makes it so tasty and flavorful. I asked if they even sold the sauce in the store, but it's homemade so you can only get it there! Heeeeey Next Level Burger! I went to this spot after an impromptu hot tub session wit the homies. My waiter Marcus was a peach and treated me and the homie with lots of care and ENERGY. I got the classic "cheese" burger with Smoked Godua cheese recommended by the amazing host Marcus, with Yukon Gold Chili Cheese tater tots (these gems were hand down the BEST part of the meal) and a Gingerale Lemonade. The meal was great, next time I will ask for my bun toasted it was a little plain compared to the amazing plant based meat with gooey vegan cheese. The TOTS reigned supreme, the chili, the cheese, the vegan sour cream... all from something off a tv show that you wished you could taste... but I actually did yall, I ate sum. Today I came in excited for my lunch, the service was awful and my order took very long to come out. I ordered the SoCal Burger and Small french fry's, I also got a PB cup shake. First of all my burger was completely falling apart then my fry's were way to soft and undercooked. my shake was ok but I could barely suck it up through the straw it was barely blended.
