For a fast food style burger place, I'm obsessed. The place is located inside the Whole Foods near the Barclay's Center, so it took my friend and I a while to find it but the hunt was totally worth it. As a vegetarian, I love a good vegan/vegetarian burger that's not just a bunch of lettuce and tomatoes in between a bun, and Next Level Burger did not disappoint. I ordered the Spicy Bean with a side of tater tots. The burger was HUGE and the whole meal really filled me up for what I paid. The wait time was not long either...it took about 10-15 minutes from the time we placed our order to receive the food. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal and the overall place. Milkshakes were decent. Fries and tater Tots were also okay. But the burgers was super mediocre and actually a waste of money. Their selling beyond meat burgers that you can just go inside whole foods buy it and make it in your home. The Beyond Meat patties aren't even that great to be honest. Was so excited to try these guys out - as a big fan of vegan comfort food - and already can't wait to go back and try more stuff. The Next Level Dog is ridiculously good - the diced cucumbers and black sesame seeds are unexpectedly perfect texture and flavor additions - and they toast the bun beautifully. It's really any vegan or vegetarian's dream to go to a restaurant and not know what to order because he or she is presented with a veritable sea of choices when everything is meat and dairy free. I had the bbq blue "cheese" burger, some loaded fries and a kombucha for a grand total of $28. While it was good, it wasn't blowing my mind (maybe all the hype from the vegan bloggers made me expect more). I felt like the burger was just decent and the fries were doing too much - drowning in sauce and fake cheese- I did like that you can choose whether you want your fries baked or fried though. I was never a fan of vegetarian burgers, but I've slowly been coming around thanks in part to next level burger. I've ordered and picked up from here a few times and whats sticks out to me is the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Its a big step above the normal jalapenos and onions and pickles that you'd get at a normal burger place. Even the buns actually add to the burger you're eating, and for that I think the flavors here are better than most other places. I'm still a fan of the greasy, meaty burgers with cheese dripping off the sides, but this is an adequate substitute. Plus you don't feel nearly as heavy or frankly, crappy, after eating. I've also tried their version of a crispy chicken sandwich and same holds true. Only thing that is not as good, is I feel like the fries and tots don't get super crispy the way I would prefer, but still decent. read more

Just order burgers for delivery. Order was already 10 minutes late. I called to find out why. They said the order was just completed and was going out. The order arrived 1 minute later cold. If you want hot food go to pick your food up and keep asking the attending cashier if each bag they complete is yours even if they get an attitude, which they will And have done, otherwise your food will continue to sit bagged getting soggy. Vegan grilled cheese to the lactose intolerant lol yesss the bread was (vegan) buttery and it came with tomato, onions and avocado. Get tried the kids version if you don't want the extra veggies. I was hungry and was looking for a good veg place. Found this one and it was close to Atlantic terminal so that was good for me. They have a lot of selections of burgers, hotdogs, milkshakes, and etc. I got the special sauce burger and baked fries. The lady at the counter who toiled my order was awesome! She was very nice and sweet. When I got my food i found the burger good but wasn't super impressed. I feel like I didn't taste much of the special sauce but overall I was happy with my order, especially since I hadn't had a burger for along time. Staffs were great but there was one lady who seems to have hurt her hand and doesn't look well while she was working. I do hope she is okay but overall, I had a good experience. read more

Food was really delicious. I got the most basic burger, I believe it was called the all American or something. Next time I come I'll get more fixings. My only gripe is the portion size. Everything is pretty small, save the drink size. I mean I was full regardless but I did pay $16 for my meal and it wasn't much of a looker. Have eaten here a handful of times and had great service and pretty tasty food. Tonight, I had great service. Mentioned multiple times that I needed gluten-free everything because I have celiac. I even joked about how stupid food allergies are and how I wish I could bathe myself in a bathtub full of sliced sourdough baguettes without misery. I took one bite of the burger I ordered and noticed immediately that the bun was not gluten-free. I double checked with my friends who can eat wheat and they said my bun looked identical to their buns. I brought my food back and watched the sadness of food waste as they threw away a burger with one bite taken out of it simply because they made the mistake of not training their employees to be EXTRA SUPER CAREFUL about food allergies/intolerances/feelings of absolute death. Before writing this review I spent the rest of my night nauseous and then vomiting uncontrollably upon getting home. Now my throat hurts, I'm congested, I have a rash, my bowels are in knots, and all I got was a refund on my burger only. I'm not even mad at the new employee who made the mistake. I'm not mad at anyone. I didn't even want a refund. I just want people who work in food to care a little bit more. Your "simple mistake" doesn't cover tomorrow's sick day or how shitty I'm going to feel the rest of the week. Proper training and better-labeled menus could have easily prevented this. Alright, so I never write negative reviews. If I don't like something, I just wont eat there. I've been debating whether or not to write this cause I don't want to seem like a narc. Ultimately, I think it's best to share this because it needs to change. The entire staff needs to retrained on sanitation. While was waiting for my food I saw staff members eating, cleaning tables, and picking trash off the floor with gloves and go right back to handling food. Keep in mind, I'm watching all this while eating my burger, which is actually pretty good. If this was at someone's house, I wouldn't care but when I'm paying $15 bucks for burger I don't want to be grossed out while eating. Also, I was waiting for a while with no line to be served and the staff was playing music behind the counter which rivaled volume of the music played in the restaurant. No one cares what type of music a restaurant is playing, but hearing two competing song is always annoying. Nothing was so big that anyone should get fired, especially because it wasn't one individual employee. But there needs to be an immediate staff meeting on sanitation. This place is just average. If you're going out of your way to eat here, I would support a local vegan eatery over this chain. If you live close by, it's a good place for vegan junk food. I was really surprised to find this place just a few steps away from Atlantic Terminal. Went with some friends after a long day. The burgers were very good. Neither mushy nor over cooked.But a good balance of texture. Also the 'cheese ' on the cheese burgers is vegan. They also offer fries and tater tots. Tots can be baked or fried. Nice touch! The service is great. Even if the wait times are a bit much, they make up for it. I plan to go back and try one of the shakes as well be t time. Ok, so update. Spoke to the GM, very nice person. The systems say different verbiage for the orders taken in from Seamless, grubhub, etc. so NO BUN was not put in the order and a sub of a salad was put in place. They decided to change on all systems the word lingo so that it's understood what is being requested by the customer. I appreciate this place so much and knew that this must have been a communication issue or something of the sort because everyone is fantastic here. They inexplicably cut the hot dog bun completely in half and I couldn't eat it. I ended up cutting the sausage into pieces and dipping it in their sauce, which was supposed to be on top.
