Update: they DO have gluten-free burger buns, hot dog buns, and wraps for all their items now (for an added $1.50 which was not stated on the paper sign or said in person, but I'm not terribly surprised there's a surcharge there)! So happy that this expands the options of burgers, hot dogs, and wraps that I can get from here! They also offered my roommate's dog who I was walking a free dog treat, which she of course devoured. I've had a couple of different burgers and sandwiches from here now, and they've been delicious and good for a fast-food fix. Vegan fast food that's fun, tasty and one of the most affordable options around? Yes please. I actually stumbled here randomly walking around Maria Hernandez park. There is a takeout window and make sure to check out the specials on the boards. I ordered the crispy chickn sandwich and the cubano. I devoured the chickn sandwich in about 30 seconds - the crispness, slightly greedy yet spicy hint of the chipotle sauce hot the craving just right. I did like the Cubano as well but found myself wanting seconds of the chickn sandwich. Can't wait to try more of their items! read more

Fun little vegan streetshop next to Hernandez Park! Love to see the access to more burger-bar options for us; the line queued up more than I had expected at 7:30 pm on a weeknight, but it still only took ~10-15 minutes to get my food. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap. I was craving one in the moment, but in hindsight this was probably the wrong decision, as there are so many other popular things on their menu that were more reputed. It wasn't "ranchy" enough and while tasty/semi-healthy, it lacked a bit more of that oomph you want when getting a post-run meal. I would love to come back and try some of their other menu! Went skating yesterday with the boys and completely wrecked myself in front of this spot trying to avoid running g into someone on a bike and got up to find my hands got mangled from the fall. I quickly noticed this spot and asked the guys in there if I could get a few wet napkins and instead of just giving me some napkins they actually offered me some peroxide and the cook even came out to bandage my hand. Truly one of the best skate days ever! I'd rate Grilled! three and a half stars. Vegan fast food corner spot. Only outdoor seating here. It's across from the park, so it makes for a fun and lively atmosphere. We shared the classic cheeseburger and a small order of their fries. The smashed beyond burger was an interesting take on the trendy burger. Fries were a thicker crinkle cut and generously seasoned, so the seasoning blend stood outside. Service here was quick and polite. I've tried this spot on two separate occasions and honestly I have mixed reviews. I'll start by saying that I love the fact that this restaurant is conveniently a walk up and order fast food joint in Bushwick. Affordable vegan food is always a win. Both times I've been the staff was always super friendly and helpful. However, the food is so very questionable. The first time I ordered the Classic Burger and Loaded Fries. The burger was quite tasty and on par with a standard Beyond Burger. The Loaded Fries were just okay. The fries themselves were decent. However the chili, and the cheese sauce lacked flavor and were bland. They brought down the quality of the whole dish. Tbh it ended up all just tasting mushy. If they added seasoning to the chili, and cooked it for longer, it would be a lot better. Overall the meal was decent. I'd rate it a 3/5. On the second occasion I ordered the Choripan and Philly Cheesesteak. The worst meal I've eaten in a long time. The Choripan was slimy and flavorless. The sausage itself was fine, the best part of the sandwich. However, the sauce they used had a VERY unpleasant slimy texture and was very sour. When it came to the Philly cheese, the seitan was undercooked and unseasoned. There weren't any redeemable qualities, unfortunately. Honestly both dishes were so questionable I had to drink of kombucha after to settle my stomach. Unfortunately I'd have to rate it a 1/5. I want to like this place so bad, but the last meal felt like it would've given me food poisoning. If I do return I'd probably just get a burger. Again, affordable vegan food is a win. But simply put, there are better vegan fast food restaurants. read more

Very affordable for being vegan and having great options, super friendly and awesome staff, and just overall a super cute "vegan fast food style" business. If you compare this place to other vegan places, it is a stunning 5/5. Their food mimics the non vegan fast food items to a T. If you compare it to a traditional non vegan fast food place, it deserves a 4/5 from its friendly service and pride for its food. we ordered their fried chicken sandwich, fried chicken nuggets and a burger. As a meat eater, the burger was at par with a typical beyond burger. However the fried chicken sandwich and nuggets were so crispy and well seasoned. It's not juicy but that's not to their fault- the technology for lab grown meat is simply not there to make anything super juicy yet. I really enjoyed the French fries, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside + a little spicy. I ordered from Uber eats and requested they add cheese to my burger, but it was forgotten, no biggie. The burger Patty was really thin, I probably should have gotten the double. I had a Classic burger, fries and cauliflower bites. The burger was really good, it didn't leave me with that gross, greasy feeling afterwards. It was very tasty. The fries were great as well, they were seasoned with some chili powder, which gave them a little zang. Now the cauliflower bites - soooo interesting. I got the barbeque flavor and they literally tasted like chicken. I have no idea how they pulled this off, but I literally felt like I was eating legit chicken wings. It was the weirdest feeling. I've been a committed vegan for a few years now, so this was definitely an interesting experience. I can't wait to try the cauliflower bites with the other sauces! Overall, this was a lovely experience. The two guys working in the booth were very nice and my food was ready within ten minutes of my order. I like the fact that everything was wrapped in paper, so that I was able to recycle and/or compost most of the waste. A must when in search of amazing food. I went to NYC in May 2023 and after my hotel Grilled! was my first stop. I was excited to try their Colombian hot dog and it did not disappoint at all. I also had the Korean Beef and a chocolate shake. I am not sure I have had a more flavorful meal, every item was wicked good and I believe the shake was the best one I've ever had! The people working there were super nice too. Since it's a walk-up there wasn't much seating, but the neighborhood that it's in was alive with activity in the nearby park and for my first night in NYC it was an unforgettable experience. I am returning to the city in September, and once again my first stop will be at Grilled! so that the trip starts off in the best way possible. read more

Yummy vegan food?! Whaaaat?! Boyfriend and I rolled by and decided to finally stop because there wasn't a long line. The guy that took our order was adorable and playful which I appreciated. We ordered the kids Cheeseburger, Salchipapas, and the Cubano. This wasn't my first Vegan rodeo but it was for the bf and he was pleasantly surprised. The cheeseburger was just perfect for me. It had all the flavors I need a cheeseburger to have and it was a good size for me. Most people will probably find it small. The salchipapas were so dang good! First off...crinkle fries...Perfect. They were covered in a perfect sassy seasoned sauce that I would have loved to have a side of and I believe maybe doused with an "Old Bay" seasoning, which I personally LOVE. Our only "complaint" was that the "weenie" was on the dry side. Not sure if thats from overcooking or just what you get with the meat substitute? Let it be known though, we ate the WHOLE thing and will absolutely order again. Boyfriend also ordered the Cubano and it came out piping hot and while I thought it was really tasty, it was missing a tang he was looking for throughout. He said he finally got it towards the end of his last bites. I actually preferred it to an actual meat Cubano made at a local Cuban spot up the way. The food overall was all great, came out hot and while we did have to wait about 15+ minutes for everything, it was worth it. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu. read more
