Where do I even start with this review?! I'm very disappointed that it had to come to this because I've been going here for so long. I've come to love my Pedi lady especially: miss Mai. So I'm really sad that I won't be coming back here after today's incident. I've basically been struggling with my french set that Tao did almost two weeks ago now due to several issues that I've had. I came in initially last Friday for a new set and a pedi. The toes came out fab like they always do with Mai. The French set was another story. Have you guys seen that "this is what I asked for versus this is what I got" on ig l?? Yeah I definitely felt like I was living through one of those sad cases! So I brought in a picture of the nails I wanted told her I wanted exactly that as far as the design and they came out looking nothing like that. The worst part about it was that the nail bed was so high it gave me old lady vibes definitely not the new trendy French sets that are in style. Actually no that's not the worst part- the WORST part is that I even asked her could she make the nailbed smaller and make the French part longer when I first noticed it and she said "So you want the French to be bigger no I don't think so!" WHAT?!! So you don't do what the customer wants oh OK.. I tried to go along with it but when I finally looked down at the finished product I was so disappointed! I asked her if she could fix it that I wasn't happy and she said she didn't have time. Ok well can you add something to the nail part to make it look less big-like a design? No I don't have time. Wow.. ok!! SMFH. I felt defeated but it was nearing the time of my sons baseball game so I just paid and left. I tried to love it but I couldn't get over the huge nail beds so I figured I'd go back Monday and try to get them fixed. So Monday comes around and I tell her that I'm not happy again and show her the picture AGAIN and told her that I needed them like the picture or I'd like to get them taken off all the way. She reluctantly sits me down to start fixing them. I tip her $20 and was finally happy with my nails. Until the next day. I'm out shopping, trying on new clothes and somehow ended up breaking a nail which has never happened before. I texted her and told her about it and she said no problem to come in the next day and get it fixed. So on that day I somehow break another one (I believe they broke off because she grinded it down so hard and it broke off exactly where the French tip meets the base on both). But it was before my appointment so I'm just glad that I'm going at this point. Well I look down at the finished product and guess what now they're completely different colors. Here we are again at the end of the day and I have to run to my sons baseball game and she told me that she didn't have time again and just to come back. Welp!! Round 4 is it now?? Idk I lost count... but why would you do a completely different color on me like that and think I'm going to be ok with it and you know I'm picky!? Like I said I've been coming here for over seven years now so they know me!! Me and my daughter have been clients here since she was in high school. That's the saddest part to me that they simply didn't value my loyalty. I honestly feel like they prefer Caucasian clients over blacks and Latinos here. The straw that broke the camels back was that I asked her if she could do a fill and she agreed to it via text and then when I get there she's rushing me out again saying she doesn't have time for that and I was late. Yes I was seven minutes late but I'm coming from about an hour away because since I started coming here I've purchased a home and moved further north but hey they don't care. Yet I've waited for you guys to finish up plenty of times on one occasion up to 30 minutes with an appointment at that. Oh and guess what you were working on another client even still today so what's the real problem Tao??! Idkkk but I won't be giving them anymore of my time or money. It was so embarrassing everyone in the salon was looking at us and the other young girl with long black hair that does nails even said to her "Customer is always right just give her her money back." But she stood up and started yelling and that's when I just grabbed my bag and told her to kiss my big fat arse basically. Sionara tuhhh! I found this new girl in Denton and posted her picture below she also charges a fraction of the price and does all the new trendy stuff all they know is old styles to match the old money here.
This visit was all about the quality, efficiency, look of my nails so if you're looking for a good customer service experience for your first maybe 2nd visit, you may want to go elsewhere, lol. I just want to get in and out with nice nails. My first time here. Got Nexgen nails done by the male owner. He made a little small talk which was it. I can understand Vietnamese (they didn't know) so I can understand the frustration of some people who may end up with one of the female techs...she had the crappiest attitude ever based on what I heard from her conversations. Anyway, I love my nails. Took about 30 minutes total and got an awesome 1st time customer discount!
By far my favorite nail place! Everyone is so nice and they do a wonderful job! Lilly does my nexgen and the ombré that she did this week is perfect! Lots of color selection and they always remember you. Highly recommend And she does it again! Second picture lily did today with light pink and chrome powder, love it!
If pedicure experience was better I would give my experience 5 stars! Nexgen by Kevin 2nd time he did my nails and I love it! The young guy cut the cuticle too much on left foot and caused it to bleed. I haven't experienced that in a long time. If owner sees this review it would be helpful to speak in English to one another if you can instead of your native language.
Julie is AMAZING! You tell her what you want and she's going to make it happen! She takes her time and really cares about the work she does. She is my new favorite nail tech! This shop in general is great! It's clean, the staff is friendly, and it's an overall relaxing atmosphere.
I went to get my nails done 3-30 here and this was my 3rd time at the shop. Each visit has been worse than the last. The female nail tech did not soak off all of my prev nexgen powder off she was trying to take the quick rte. My nails were as thick as bricks.. the shape was horrible. I told her that I wanted to keep the length of my nails that had grown out and she cut them nearly all the way down to nubs.. the ombre looked more like a straight line of 2 colors.. I could go on and on. So seeing as I had spent 43 dollars I went back today to give them the opportunity to fix the debacle and they were gonna charge me another $30.. needless to say I declined and walked out. I do NOT recommend this salon as no one in there is a trained nail professional.

I have some 'go-to' places but it's still hit or miss...or non-lasting. I like the look of gel but realized that nexgen is more practical for my nail type, shape and even how often I use or wash my hands. Excited to say that this place may be my new go-to! It takes a few visits before I can confirm though...that its not a dream. They had a good selection of colors, they actually used name brand quality powders, and the shop was clean with a friendly down to earth staff and there was barely a wait. It's near the Subway & Mamas & Daughters diner mid shopping center. I told my concerns (that long description on the 1st paragraph) & they did my nails EXACTLY how I wanted. Shape, Thickness & appearance on point. 2 weeks later from a cruise vacation and not 1 nail chipped or broken. I will be back soon. Then I'll add a picture. Check them out.

Price: $5 nexgen removal $35 "Nexgen Ombré" $32 men's pedicure After getting my nails done here I get compliments every single day! This is called "Nexgen Ombré". I showed a picture of what I wanted and I honestly believe it turned out even better. I requested thin layers and the shape isn't coffin but I mix between that and squared tips! My overall experience would be a 4/5 just because my BFs pedicure was more expensive than they told me it would be! $32 when I was quoted $24 plus I had to wait 20mins to get my old Nexgen removed Bc others where put ahead of me. They do have a discount for new customers but they don't tell you! My co worker loved my nails so much she went and got the same thing the next day!!
They can clean up your cuticles a little, buff your feet, cut your nails etc and give you a 15-20 second "massage"...and you leave with something better then having a 2 week old mani/Pedi that I walked in with. But i went to them after I got off work and I'm about to get in bed when I notice 3 of my toes have already chipped (I came home and worked on emails so no activity to merit this). Also, half my manicured nails were painted ON my cuticle... Which makes it look like I did it myself, plus chip off faster bc your nails and cuticles are different heights and growing differently. I was not offered a water, asked how I was, and the mani was rough..I had to pull my hand away at one point she was "cutting/tearing" at the skin around my nails. Now I see this mani will last a few days... Cost me $62..Where as the last one I got last almost 3 weeks (Classy nails spa on Parker, next to True spirits) and was $65.

Walked in at 4:10pm with my 13 year old daughter. A lady towards the back asked how may I help you. I stated that I would like to get my daughter's nails done. She said "We busy" so I asked when will you not be busy and she said "it's the weekend (today is Friday) we busy until we close." The two ladies getting pedicures looked at me with a puzzled look and we both all just smiled and I said Thank you and have a great day. It is 4pm and they close at 7:30pm. There were three people there being serviced and several associates that work there with no costumers. Not sure if they didn't want to service my daughter or what but either way terrible costumer service. She gets her nails done at same salon every two weeks but we just left mall and saw this place. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The stylists put serious patience and effort in their perfection. Reasonably priced (the cheapest I've found in this area) and they never disappoint! I'm usually asleep half way through my pedicure! Walk ins welcome. Love this place - highly recommend! read more

They act very nice when you come in ask you what you want, you tell them, and then in the end if you don't check your receipt, they up charge you for "shape"of your nails, and on top of that they sit there are laughing and joking the whole time. I wish I knew what they were saying. read more

My nails came out beautifully but the service was TERRIBLE. Nail technicians tend to treat younger customers different than older ones, and here I felt exactly that. The technician was rude to both me and my friend that I came with, she was yanking on my hand and arm like a rag doll and left my fingers cut. This one star was way too generous. If you are like me, bouncing around looking for a gem of a salon, this isn't it, keep bouncing along like I will be. read more

I've been going to this nail place for years and never have been disappointed. The workers are so kind and sweet, and they always give my nails the best treatment. They are so talented and can do a wide range of nail detail and I love going here. Always such a pleasant experience!! Keep it up Nexgen Nails!! read more

I love this place! I just flew into Dallas from San Francisco today, and needed to get my nails done. I saw this place on my way to my god sister's house, and quickly went on Yelp. The reviews were mixed, but I gave it a try anyway. Rachel did an amazing job with my dip powder nails. They came out beautiful, and she was very nice-- answered my many questions! Susan did my gel pedicure (I got the aloe Vera pedi.), sooooo sooo good. She is really skilled with gel polish, and the foundation of my pedicure was amazing, she is very talented. So happy I found this place, every time I am in Dallas I will always return to this salon, and visit these two! I would give them more stars if I could, read more

I found this nails salon on yelp , read all reviews but decided to try it myself since the salon not so far from where I live. The girl who did my nails did a really good job on my nexgen ombre nails , $35 for this I think this is decent price and I will go back again! read more
I've visited this salon twice in the last year. I don't tend to get my nails done frequently, but this location is convenient to me and not terribly crowded. Both times I've gone for just a basic $15 manicure as a way to relax during a lunch break. Overall, I've had decent experiences. The technicians seem friendly and not overly pushy. The environment appears clean and organized. The paint from each manicure could have been done better (closer to the edges of the nail and cuticle). After my second visit I chipped the paint on one of my nails the same night. The next day I came in to see if they would fix it which they did without hesitation. I'll continue visiting this location. read more

Stopped in today and was very pleased with the service, atmosphere, price and quality of Nexgen set and pedicure. Staff was very friendly and attentive to detail, will definitely recommend to others and return! read more
