Normal kids pizza from other Newk's.

We have been to a lot of Newk's and love their food. But this Newk's took one pizza and split it in half for my two kids. The other picture shows the other Newk's pizza. Seems like they are cutting cost or lazy. Not sure which. But big difference in normal quality.

Fresh tasty salads. There chicken tortilla soup is also great. The cashier was helpful and friendly.

***UPDATE*** I recently got a black and blue salad from here and I noticed the meat looked a little grey rather than the more appetizing way it usually looks. The server let me know that they no longer grill their meat and cook it in an oven instead. It's disappointing, hopefully it still taste good, because it doesn't look good anymore. *I've eaten here several times before, it's a nice casual low key place. My miL loves this place after I brought her for the first time. She really enjoys the thin crust pizzas. This visit I noticed they added a new Spinach and feta soup, it's nice not too thin or thick. It's a little on the salty side. But it tasted great with my sandwich. The bathrooms are nice, usually very clean. I like the fact they have an extra sink outside the restrooms so you can just wash your hands and not have to go into the bathroom. I love their fixin's table! They have roasted garlic, capers, peppers, pickles, and lot of other stuff. It's really nice to add things to the salads. My favorite one is the black & blue salad. It's always good and I add garlic and pickled peppers. They also have lots of seating outside

For a chain restaurant, Newks is good. Best Greek salad I've ever had. Good service.

Nice place for lunch. It's like a Panera with less bread and more food choices. Family friendly.

I stopped by Pies & Pints - Montgomery on a Saturday afternoon and ended up having a really solid…read moreexperience overall -- definitely a strong 4-star visit. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a plate of char-grilled hot wings. The sandwich was the highlight for me. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, with a nice char on the outside that gave it great flavor without being dry. The bun was fresh and held everything together without falling apart halfway through (which I always appreciate). It felt like a well-balanced, thoughtfully made sandwich rather than something rushed. The char-grilled hot wings were flavorful with a smoky finish from the grill. They had a good kick -- not overwhelmingly spicy, but enough heat to keep things interesting. A couple of them were slightly on the smaller side, but the taste definitely made up for it. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively without being too loud. Service was friendly and attentive, though we did wait a bit longer than expected for our food during a busy stretch. Nothing dramatic, just noticeable. Overall, it's a place I'd happily return to -- good food, good vibe, and consistent quality. A strong 4 stars from me.

There are some great beer options that you can level up with nitro. The pizza selections were somewhat overwhelming because there were so many familiar choices and I had a hard time picking one, but I opted for the chicken Gouda, which was a top tier choice. Plenty of chunks of chicken, with a smooth sauce, and nice crust. I ate the entire pizza because I could not get enough. The decor was very whimsical with their elephant logos throughout. Overall, good choice for a Friday night or anytime you need some good grub.

On a recent trip to Montgomery from Birmingham, we decided to try this place out. They are…read morecurrently sharing a space/kitchen with Prevail Coffee on Dexter Avenue. My guy called to make sure they would be open since it the week of Christmas. The guy on the phone, after answering that they were open, proceeded to text a menu and the address to us. Great customer service!!! Upon arriving, and after a little confusion as to how to place an order (due to the coffee shop staff), we ordered a meat lovers.com and a build your own with Alfredo base, bacon and beef. Both were personal sized. After a short week and the owner coming out to give us an update on our order, the pizzas arrived. They looked just as delicious as pictures had showed. They also tasted as good as they looked. The cheese was really cheesing, and had that mozzarella pull you see in movies and magazines. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. Both the red sauce and the Alfredo sauce were measured perfectly. The crust was a star and could easily be a meal by itself...it was just that good. The pizzas should come with a side of red sauce for dipping the crust in. The owner (I think his name is Cedric) came out , chatted with us, discovered we were from Birmingham, and apologized that we didn't get to visit his regular location as they are making some repairs. He was very down to earth and we encouraged him to look into coming to the Birmingham market. We could tell that he put his heart into his work and he has taught that also to his employees. I really hopes he looks in to branching out. He has something special with these pizzas. If you're in the area, please check them out. You won't regret it!

Luckily we got to place our orders and the wait really wasn't that bad. The Lucille? Chef's kiss. The crust? The pizza overall? Just DELICIOUS. I will definitely try to make it anytime I'm in Montgomery now. The decor is also very funny. I loved the theme lol. Pro tip: Call your order in so you can make the wait a little shorter.

We went regularly because they served GOOD pizza--freshly-made crust with the fresh toppings of OUR choosing, and we got to watch them make it! It was a nice, clean restaurant with nice music playing and TVs to watch. They had self-serve soft drink machines, and I could drink as much as much as I wanted (that's important to me, as expensive as drinks are these days). I was sad to see them go!
