We initially went to Jerusalem Restaurant; however, after wanting a steak kabob we learned that they mix lamb with their ground beef so it truly wasn't "steak". I googled other nearby Med restaurants and this one came up and a friend of mine really likes CAVA so we decided to give it a try. We didn't know how it worked and upon entering we were not greeted by the employee taking our orders as she was pretty rude. The other employee putting the toppings on was much nicer. As for the food, it was tasty with high quality ingredients (we ordered the steak bowls); however, I was left wanting more. The roasted red pepper hummus was delish, as was the homemade pita chips (which was essentially pita bread). I really enjoy Cava; I've been to a few locations and this one was great too. It appears to be a brand new building so it's very clean and nice inside. We were traveling through Montgomery and I saw this on the map. It was a perfect alternative to most fast food options. I love that it has fresh vegetable options and you can just build your own bowl. The regular hummus, corn, and cucumbers are all delicious. The lemon tahini sauce had a very nice earthy and bright flavor. The fresh juices are amazing. My favorite is the cucumber mint. I'll be back at Cava again soon! read more

Overall great. But they keep undercooking lentils. Couple times have even almost chipped a tooth due to them essentially being almost as hard as tiny BB pellets! Once in a while they cook them right but often it ruins an otherwise great meal biting into what feels like a bunch of tiny rocks. Otherwise 5 stars! read more

Great alternative to traditional fare! Greek style deliciousness and a young crew. The GM is friendly while training her teenage crew, and they are doing great! The food is tasty - mine was the spicy lamb meatball pita in a salad form, and two thumbs waaaay up!!! CAVA- you had a GREAT opening when you first came to Montgomery. But you are short-staffed all the time. Great food, just not enough help.

Let me start by saying I really want this place to succeed. The food is always good and I love their teas and lemonades. However, I entered this visit on a Saturday @3:15p.m. There appeared to be about 6-7 employees-all in the back of the restaurant. The entire dining space was empty, every table was dirty, items on the floor and trash was overflowing. I ordered and received my bowl with drink cup. Employees were pleasant. Ice machine was not working even though ice cubes were lying on the grate under the dispenser. I informed an employee and was told THEN that it wasn't working-after being charged for a drink. The bathroom was in complete disarray with trash overflowing. I was there for about 20 minutes and a few other customers came in but it was not busy-at all. Finally, when I got up to leave someone was emptying the trash. But tables were all still dirty and everything else mentioned earlier-same condition. Really hope the management takes notice and makes some changes. read more
